My character is currently crippled. I looked up the history and wheelchairs have been around since Greek/Roman times (though people had to push others). Is it possible to have a wheelchair made in RP for a crippled child?

They have the technology for it...so....

Well  yes you could technicly create a wheelchair . But you have to think; why would
they? I mean there are no disabled access ramps. And the paths are often made
of quite literally slabs of stone/bricks placed unevanly on in the ground. It would be
very difficult to move and inefficient. So, yes you could. But I don't see how it
would be able to get around easily.

:sweetjesus: Even if they COULD be made, it wouldn't really fit with the theme of the server in my opinion.

And the theme is fantasy with a dash of reality. If thats the case, I want a magic carpet to fly her around. I am trying to work with some reality into a rp server. How many people actually play to their disabilities? Everyone gets a magic cure at some point...

Its not supposed to be her getting around easily, its supposed to be her trying to get around at all. Otherwise I am forced to make other RPers carry her everywhere. And if no one knows where she is, and she needs to go outside, there is no way for her to contact someone. Not only is it inconvinient for me, but other rpers having to drag her around.

Already had a wheeled wooden sitting device made for Ari back in Asulon when the Syndicate broke both her legs. She was confined to her house basically all the time unless she had an escort.

You could go Toveah's route and get some halflings or peasants to carry you around on a litter.

Or you could go the VonShlichten's route and saddle up a pig.

hmmm Halflings or pigs... Halflings are very skilled with shovels..... *ponders this*

UGH!!! You don't need lore for this. If you thought of it rply, made it rply, and it works rply, then who cares!?!?!? Don't be worried about others questioning it.

If they're created during or before our server's time period, then you can use it without lore.

Don't worry about complaints. People nowadays will complain about just about anything.

I knew a player who used Bifocal Glasses on her dark elf, and bifocals weren't created until after 1760.

Not true. There are things predating 1300 that you can't use and things after 1300 that you can. By Earth chronology, which is not LotC chronology, cannons are very old technology. The lifts the dwarves have in their city are far newer technology.

As for wheelchairs, take a chair, get a pair of wooden cartwheels, fix them to the chair, balance it, there you go. Unless you encounter stairs. Then you're about as stuck as a Dalek. :P Incredibly uncomfortable with our rough medieval paving, but workable.

If you're after something a little more fantasy or lower tech than a primitive wooden wheelchair, a small horse could work.
