"Hoo'Hoo! There is a'lawt' af' blood-relatives ter' return ter' thar' true ways. Vladimir, Aetos, Mataki, Dalibor, an' Batukhan shall be given thar' position ter' fin' thar' encampment before thar' nomadic cycle is begun."

[[PH4NT0M, FideiDefensor, racker2008, Freya, and KoToTamoPeva are accepted as blood-relatives]]

Sertorius leans his head in, the felt cap covering his ear as he strains to hear the last name of the ill-pronounced Val-oose. He leans back, reaffirming that she is to be given a clue on how to seek the caravanserai.

[[Cruzazul8 accepted as 'intrigued Subudai members]]

Sertorius guffaws, stating to his nomadic brethren "That lad dun' changed 'is name like three times! Investigate 'im further, I dun'no who 'e tryin' ter' trick!"

[[Nordlord1 investigated]]

Sertorius
Cagan gallops full length, in a race against a dwarf mounted upon a
pony, the speed of his steppe horse proving too exhilarating to even
laugh at the nonchalant challenge from Thorondin. The race leads them
through a stream and turning to the right towards the steppes complete
with minute mesas and balmy tall grasses, a rainbow barely seen over a
villa on the edge of a village erected with a graveyard and a mausoleum
to the Wandering Wizard. After beating the dwarf with a distance of many
yards, Sertorius yanks back the reins and hears his horse take the bit
and saunter, lean, and turn about to face the Dwarf within the
Encampment. Holding his hand up in mock greeting, Sertorius informs him
of the welcoming invitation to stay with the nomads in time for the
nomadic cycle in an elven day.

((You
can apply as either a blood-related Subudai or merely as your existing
character [as blood-relative] or merely wanting to attend the migratory
tradition of the Subudai!))

Upon finishing the feast of slaughtered sheep, a full circle of Subudai nomads jostling, heckling, and laughing together as they grit their teeth against sheep ribs to clean their plates so to speak is caught unawares by a riding nomad with multiple scripts along his belt. Sertorius Khagan begins reading them and taking note of the individuals and nods graciously and informs the messenger that they are welcome.

A slip of sheepskin parchment with green ink:

Friend,

I write on behalf of an ancient, respectable halfling family that would like to join and travel with your tribes.

I speak, of course about the Brandybucks, a clan of halflings that historically have always had a taste for adventure. The founder of our family, Grombadook Brandybuck, traveled many a land after settling the Brandybuck Burrow. And Old Petyr Brandybuck fled Dunwood to become a druid, wandering Aegis and Asulon doing Harvest knows what.

And now three younger members of the great Brandybucks would like their turn.

I am Boletus Brandybuck [drplat], a forager of mushrooms and toadstools. I seek the rarest and most precious fungi in the land, fungi that cannot be found sitting in a Lenfarthing burrow.

My uncle, Crawlylegs "Crawly" Brandybuck [iraqnid], is a notable woodcarver, famous for his pristine, deluxe, distinguishable yachts (halfling sized, of course.) He seeks strong and exotic woods with which to craft his goods.

And my cousin, Bodo Brandybuck [trocks614], is a fine fisherhalfling who wishes to wrestle the legendary coelecanth. He is also quite proficient at crafting bamboo rods.

Do contact us at your earliest convenience.

A papyri script is returned in the sleeve of a mounted nomad, looking out across Lenfarthing and leaving the letter in good hands to return to Boletus. Within, it reads:

"Boletus Brandybuck, rest assured that you have a place amongst the Nomads, for they hold no ill-will onto any race that treads the ground; rather we welcome you even more for being peaceful denizens of the 'Urth. Seek us out south of Salvus, past the Flayed Man Tavern, crossing the river and nearing the village of Gee'Em"

((Raptor and Esterlen are accepted! I added your alts to the region if that is fine!))

Along
the twice torchlit road known as Nation Crossing, three decrepit
figures stand donned in different colors and robes, a scene of utmost
horror for the young Althar'ken to covertly look upon. Arachnids of
varying lengths and widths skittering along a bandaged arm, speaking of
'joining their collective', and the shuttering visages cloaked in white
and black gave a very unfortunate and sinister atmosphere to look upon,
sending Althar'ken stumbling lightly from behind the wagon at Nation
Crossroads and back towards the forest to return to a grim-faced
Sertorius; his own eyes glaring forward through the dusk to view what he
had encountered earlier outside Salvus. With a brief glance to see
Althar'ken climb acrobatically back atop his steppe horse, Sertorius
raised his spear, leading the small nomadic war-party along the edges of
the forest, weaving to and fro the furthest trees along the border of
plain and forest. As darkness encapsulated the plains, not but a brief
torch did stand, the figures silhouetting and standing out like the
stars for the steppe riders as the flanked around to face where they
faced; their backs opaque and marked by torch-light.

With
a final raise of his spear and a fixation of the draco in between vest
and the steppe horse's flank, Sertorius led his steppe riders in a
fierce gallop towards the cloaked figures; lowering his spear and trying
to pierce Kalameet. In a noisy clash, the whistling draco banner
whipping in the wind from the gallop, the Subudai ride through the
group, trying to melt back in the dark that engulfed the plain. Within
minutes, after swords and spears were tied to their horses, the Subudai
riders began emerging from different directions; composite bows nocked
and released from various tangents upon the Spider Magi. As arrows
connected and zipped past the Magi, Famine caught the eye of Sertorius
as Sertorius was riding past behind a wagon, an illusion converged upon
Sertorius as he rode; what felt like coals brought upon his head. In the
next instant, Sertorius crashed into the wagon, growling as his head
felt tampered with, his horse offended by the misleading as he knelt
against it's neck, it galloped off towards a river near the Festive
Village.

As
blood was drawn upon the Spider Magi group, one black-cloaked man begun
releasing spiders from within his clothing, coating the stone paths and
sending the nomads retiring further away along the plains. The group
clamored, time being bought by the arachnids infesting the roads in
utter chaos, trying to collect the wounded and dead in a desperate
attempt to flee the scene. Fiercely galloping, his teeth clenched,
Sertorius leads a wedging charge along the streets, the spiders being
kicked up or smashed as he sought to drive away the remaining Magi in
mad dashes. Upon arriving towards the scene, only a body encrusted with
spiders remained, Kalameet; somehow being picked up by an unknown
bystander named Von English.
