My (Real) Introduction.

Hello, my name is Blaise. You'll probably know me as either 'Gwonam' or, as I now prefer to be called, 'Gwony', but my real name is Blaise Shepperd. I live in Hertford, England but was born in Southampton, also England, and am currently working on a 2 year course for animation and interractive media. I am currently 16 years old, 17 'very' soon (12th July) and still live at home. My hobbies while at home include little more than online gaming, talking to friends through Skype and drawing of computer graphic and physical forms. When at college, I tend to just hang around with friends until I get home which is when I'll talk to them further when I get online.

Some of my pass-times include chatting, complaining, doodling and browsing Youtube. Some of my favourite games include Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead and the Megaman series. I am a pretty awful 'artist' (I personally wouldn't even call myself that), but I like to keep improving with each drawing I produce. I sometimes create pixel art instead, primarily because I like the style and also because it's much easier. As for my personality, it's really dependable. Some people have gotten the worst of my explosive temper and my grueling complaining, whereas others insist I'm one of the calmest people they know. It should be known that to offend and upset people is the last of my intentions; I want to make people laugh, not cry, but I sometimes forget that what is funny to me might be upsetting to someone else, so I apologise in advance.

I don't think there's much else I can say off the top of my head here, but if you actually have any questions for me (consider this thread an 'ask me anything') feel free to leave them in a reply and I'll hopefully answer them. Take care, I hope you found this at least slightly interesting!

Well, from my perspective, not really. Living in the UK online is pretty fun, besides the timezone, but there isn't really anyone in my neighborhood who I like to hang around with, since they all smoke and think it's funny to smash windows in, harass old people, other stupid stuff like that. So, for me not really, but I don't speak for everyone so a lot of people might disagree.

It's a tie between graphic art and traditional pencil/paper art. Both are the most 'artistic' in my view, but both make up for what the other lacks. Traditional art can be very beautiful, but it can be difficult to get the shading and colours correct, and once a mistake is made it either becomes part of the piece or destroys it. Graphic art eliminates the threat of making mistakes and makes processes such as shading much easier and quicker, but to me, it feels less like I've made something 'material'. Sure, you can print it out, but that's merely a copy of what you've actually drawn; you'll never be able to actually possess the original piece. However, I've seen absolutely beautiful and amazing pieces from both types of art, and I'd like to improve on both.

Thanks.

EDIT:

I might have gotten an extremely epic picture in place of it. It's still in that spoiler, though!
