Secession Of Leanniel

A note is posted above the Well in Luminaire, as well as a number of other places within the city and around the town of Leanniel.

Leanniel

As deemed by the Treaty of Ac’Talareh, the town of Leanniel is now a town under pure control of the Magestate. This is not an act of aggressive expansion, but a response to absurd demands made by the High Princess of Malinor, and a town-wide loyalty to the Arcane Delvers.

The borders of Leanniel are as follows:

- The road between the Cloud Temple and Malinor shall make up the western border. This is adequate land for the Town’s farms, and allows unimpeded travel between Malinor and The Cloud Temple.

- The top of the Mountain between Malinor and Leanniel shall serve as the town’s northern border. The southern slope shall belong to the town, and the northern to Malinor.

- The river between Leanniel and the Witch’s Woods will be the town’s eastern border. This provides a clear border, and space to make a road between ourselves and the Magestate capital.

- South of the town is Magestate land, and no defined border will be made.

((The claim is entirely IC - There’s nothing stopping any sort of response or attempt to retake the town.))

A letter is sent to the delver Leader Artimec Akkaris, by observation the print is distinctly high elven, full of posh swirls and needed detailing.

To whomever it may concern,

Let it be known that the outpost of Haelun'or lives as a singular vassal thereof. Now that Malinor has ceased to control the land surrounding the outpost it is to be  under direct control of Haelun'or. Let us hope this little "expansion" of yours does not take a dramatic turn. I cannot speak as Sohaer of the Mali'aheral but I can say we will seek action if aggressive behaviors transgress. Have a nice day.

"To whom it may concern, you may keep your outpost, we see no need in pointless conflict, nor is it of much value to us."

Okarn'ii reads the note, rolls his eyes, and walks away.

He mumbles to himself, "Such a pity."

Mythras walks by, and curiously picks it off a tree where it was posted, he smirks slightly. "How do you like 'em apples 'Holy' Princedom." Mythras chuckles slightly, holding his staff in his left hand, he walks away.

Ebs tries his very best not to blow a gasket and cave in the skull of he next lying, stealing, manipulating no-good Arcane Delver he comes across.

The Hierophant takes a glance upon the note, hearing for the first time of the secession of Leanniel. He exhales a stifled chuckle, shaking his head in disdain, his eyes sullen. The Druid heads onward to the once corrupted Druid Grove, a gloomy visage cementing over his face. Entering his old home, the Druid ponders upon the great birch tree of the college, admires the ever so peaceful meditation room, and trudges his way to glance upon the great ice wall. He slowly begins to speak to himself, still looking in fear of the wall of ice that separates his own self from the Northern Threat.

"Never once do the people of this land listen to me. Secession in such a time of desperation... it is so foolish. It seems no matter what peace we establish, no matter what bit of comfort we achieve, no matter what amount of unity we have come to, there is always one out there who wishes to abolish it all. One who wishes to put his greed above all else and disregard the betterment of many. There has to be one who cannot wait to poke the beast of war until we know we sleep in our beds safely. There always has to be one... it seems we will never be unified and live among one another in harmony. No, no, that is just a fantasy I dream of, only a fool would believe there is any hope for it..."

The Druid heads back into the grove, his face still downtrodden and fearful of what lies just stones away from where he stands. He goes about the Grove, healing whatever he can and preparing for the next attack on the Grove.

Trevor holds an arrow in his left hand, and a lit torch in his right. Oh, the choices one must make...

"There is only one choice, deploy it."

*wanders past looking at the new land proposals*

"Bah, 'tis just land, who's it is makes no difference to me."

*struts off shaking his head mumbling*

Captain Commander Andrew Winter notices one of the posters, and shakes his head.

"Humanity is united at last, but the heathens still squabble amongst themselves like vultures over a fresh kill."
