Just outside Cloud Temple, a peculiar stage has been set up. Banners of blue and gold, bearing a a large sigil of the Arcane Delvers line the sides of the podium. The small clinking of iron-toed boots can be heard, as a beautiful high-elf wearing an eye-patch and delver robes ascends the podium.

With a wave of her hand, another delver blows a loud horn, attracting the attention of any in the area. Eventually, a crowd begins to form, regarding a rumor of "Infinite Power" that seems to be on the tip of every attendant's tongue.

The woman views this crowd with a small smile. Sliding her Delicate hands to lightly grip the edge of the podium, she begins to speak.

"Ladies, Gentlemen, Dwarves and Elves and Humans alike. Today, I have on sale what might arguably be the most valuable artifact that any of you shall ever lay eyes on."

The woman turns and waves her hand to a curtain behind her which begins to open of it's own accord. The curtain reveals an incredibly secure cauldron covered with an iron lid. Chains surround it the object, wrapping around the cauldron itself, and chained to the very woodwork the stage is based on. Upon a cursory inspection, it also seems to be releasing a small stream of steam from the edges of the lid.

"Today, I bring you an Infinite source of power."

With these words, four rather burly delvers begin undoing the chains on the cauldron. They exchange slightly nervous glances as they undo the padlocks on the chains, the bindings sloughing off and hitting the podium one by one.

"There is something in this world called 'Imps.' An imp is a small elemental anomaly present in various forms throughout Anthos. Though their size is small, their ability to permanently create their respective element is practically limitless."

The woman, pausing her description, walks over to the cauldron as the Delver men remove the iron lid from it. She carefully holds a hand over the waters, and raises it upwards. From the cauldron rises a pitch-black porcelain Urn, hissing and sputtering as water on it's surface begins to evaporate.

"On auction today is the captured and contained Fire Imp. Do not let the urn fool you, it is very much alive within it's flame-resistant, alchemically treated porcelain housing."

The woman pauses a moment, before stating:

"Bidding starts at 10,000 Minas. May the best man win."

((The Arcane Delvers have indeed caught this beast and contained it in RP, and Zarsies can attest to it's validity.))

Stealing, lying

((Actually... only physical harm is impossible in the cloud temple, and torture, so yes, stealing and lying is allowed.))

*Rosso hears of this and just stares at them for a while* You captured... huh? Mhh... I don't have enough minas...

((Thank you... 4 OOC posters on irrelevant data.))

((Please forgive us for trying to help out :)). ))

Razani leans against a tree not to far away, frowning slightly. He had to admit the offer was intriguing, but from there up to paying such a sum for it? Now that was something he was not ready to do.

With a huff he settles down and looks around, trying to spy out the richer looking people in the crowd. He strokes his goatee lightly, eye gleaming unpleasantly. They could always be robbed after this, if they were so rich as to have enough money to buy a trinket at such a price.

((I made this post RP when I posted it, not when you asked to remove all ooc posts, so it ain't going nowhere.))

The woman waves her hand, and the Urn returns to the Cauldron, wherupon Delvers begin re-chaining the thing.

((Eh, if you can't be there RPly, don't RP that you're there.))

*gazes upon the crowd and the cauldron from atop one of the Cloud Temple walls*

"My my..." she mutters to herself "What a creature...."

*hops off the wall and walks down the path, kicking stones and muttering again to herself*

"If only I had that sum..."

Between two trees a robe-clad figure stood, observing the staged scene with a vague curiosity. Eyes narrowed beneath the hood that hid the figure's face as this 'imp' was described; safe to say, the scowl beneath the hood clearly explained this person was not fond of Delvers auctioning off this ... aberration. The figure walked off after the spokeswoman said her piece.

Whoever he was, he did not like the concept of the blue-coated hoarders garnering wealth from one of several dark artifacts they have gathered.

*Doctor Mandru Scott throws down his newspaper in frustration. He checks his billfold; not even close to enough.*

"We'll, I'm not taking out a loan..." He mutters. "DRAT YOU, NIENNA! Why do you charge such high prices? Even Government Officials and Skilled Surgeons can't afford THAT!"

*Mandru now picks up a new magazine, "Monthly Medical", and reads the section on Spinal Surgery, trying to take his mind off the infinite source of power.*

The blackened urn shifts and wobbles as it is lowered back into the water, the cell being chained once more as within the smoldering coffin, an entity squirming within...

Flame resistant.

They were correct to some degree. Flame resistant.

The container rattled with the creature inside. If one were to lay a hand on it's surface they

would suffer a searing pain from the heated metal. Whatever was inside was contained...

For how long though?

*Celestria, upon hearing such a price gasps softly. She quickly pulls out her small accounting book from her purse, flipping through the pages before shouting*

"Why in the name of good would I spend my entire fortune on THAT?! What the hell would I do with it?!"

*Celestria proceeds to skip back to Gallmore, humming to herself*

Quavinir Signus smiles happily watching the urn being raised up, imagining what in anthos he could do with it. "Nienna! I'll pay 250 minas for it! Maybe! probably less!" he yells at the seller, raising his hand.
