A Future For The Kharajyr - OOC

Alrighty. I just wanna quickly bring to light a few points which are necessary for the improvement of the Kharajyr. I want to do this quickly, so lets get to it.

  1. The Application
    • It will enevitablely be removed. I have yet to find a Kharajyr who doesn't want rid of it. However, in the coming post, you'll find a reason as to why it should be removed, in character and out - thus making it logical for Ape Kharajyr to exist, should that happen. We must wait for Geo for this to be done.
  2. The Leader
    • We are without a leader at the moment. Let us just be honest a little bit; Geo isn't here for now, and Shadow isn't as actively contributing to the position as it is only temporary, and he would likely need Geo's consent for major things that need to be done. Again, this will be adapted on later.
  3. The Options
    • Move to the Orcish Badlands / Trog. This is a major idea, and entirely possible. The conflicts we have had in character are easily avoidable and negotiable as they are simple. And again, a reason for this to happen will be outlined in the future.
    • Remove dat application - Entirely.
    • New Leader.

They are the suggestions that I and many other people have pieced together, and have discussed as much as need be. They are quite simply executed, and in the following, I shall just be giving a little IC implication of these ideas as they are needed. And my character fully thinks so, as well.

A Future For The Kharajyr - IC

Sa'Quorak rows his spruce long-but-small-boat to the shores of the Kharajyr. Some of them are walking around to their daily business, some are tending to the jungle by trimming some vines, or dusting the light road lines. Unsighted, he simply climbs the wall, and enters the vicinity of the Palace area. He carries no weapon, and wears not the armor of the Ape. Instead, the clothing of a Kharajyr. The skin of a Kharajyr. And the mind of a Kharajyr, willing to change this civilization.

He stands at the top of the stairs to the palace. Underneath the jaws of the mighty stone Kha. His hands are free. His mouth opens, and the Kharajyr nearby would hear his words. Those who were distant can hear the faint echoes through Metztli's jungle.

"Kharajyr." He says. His voice is rough but his words are clear. "Karakatua."

"We are a lifeless body. We are a disappointment to our Goddess."

"If I were to say to you," He points at one of the Kharajyr, and then a next. "... or you, that you are worth nothing, what would you say to me?" Sa'Quorak waits a brief moment as the Kharajyr says nothing. "Exactly. We are a silent nothingness. Sitting in the corner of a loud world. A world we have not even seen yet. Not fully."

"I have seen it. And I know how to survive in it. Together, is how we survive. Not hiding away, hoping that our leader will return from his idle games and misplaced decisions."

"You love Tlatlanni Morthawl, and I understand that. But he has not shown his love for you. His loyalty to Metztli. Think of one moment that you can look at Morthawl and say 'I am proud of him'."

"I can think of one. We were in Kalos, on our Island. We spoke of how the Kharajyr are a strong people. Rough and opinionated, but strong. We are Kharajyr, Quorak. He said. We do not bend to the world, only to Metztli. This is what he told me. And I listened."

More Kharajyr begin to walk near, to hear his speech. "But now we face a trial. A great moment in which we must pull through together. This is why I am here. This is why I have returned to you now." Quorak pauses, to gain some breath, and to observe those who are in the crowd. "I come here by choice. I come here to lead you today. To lead you in a movement which at first you will think it is radical. Stupid. Merciless. But I am here to tell you of horrors that I have witnessed."

"Our island has run out of time."

He takes a deep breath. "Kharajyr, I have had restless nights. Nights in which I have been contacted through dreams. Our volcano is going to erupt. Metztli is outraged, it seems. I will not assume this to be our goddess, but I will not as quickly deny that this is a sign. A warning. I do not expect you to believe me. But I do urge you to." He stops himself to see their reaction. Most seem shocked, some seem skeptical.

"We must move."

"And I know the way."

"I am Sa'Quorak. I have lead you silently, as an Aelkos since I found our outpost on Elysium. I return to you now to guide you. To lead you. I will be your Tlatlanni."

Quorak waits for any questions to come from the group, which is large.

The Plan - OOC

Quorak shall suggest to the Kharajyr that we move to the Trog, with the Orcs, as Quorak believes he can settle an agreement to let us live there in peace. The Orcs are strong, he thinks, they can help us live in happiness and security.

We move there, and we intergrate with the Mainland races, becoming an active community in an already tight-knit group of players.

Kharajyr applications will be removed, and Ape'Kharajyr will no longer require consent from the Nation Leader to RP what they want to RP. However, this will prove as a double bonus, as Kharajyr will have something to hunt if they annoy us ICly.

We will be kool kats again, yay.

If you wish to provide input, please make sure to do it in spoilers (OOC), or through IC means by speaking to Quorak through this topic. I won't be going anywhere unless some rage-filled Pantera decides to stick an arrow in my chest. Again.

Edit:

I forgot. If you agree with the following, I will manage an event in which we will leave the island for a proper reason with; The Volcano erupts, and we are forced to flee onto the mainland on one ship. Where we will then perhaps move onto, and to the trog we go. Or Orcish desert - up to us.

((The Orcs will welcome you with open arms. I support this wholeheartedly and hope the Kha do exactly this. Ape-Kha are the equivalent of whitewashes for orcs, and trying to prevent them from existing was the worst mistake we made in recent times. Deal with them in RP, not OOC.))

((I may play my Kharajyr way more often if this implemented!

<< Geo's computer has been broken, it will be repaired within the following week. Continuing, I've spoken with him about the future leadership, and will continue to speak more when he returns. The rest I agree with. >>

((One thing you might wanna add is the addition of the Kha to the whitelist application, something which I believe the vast majority of the AT agrees with. Nonetheless, I agree with everything here. I mean no offense to Geo, but I don't really think a GM should be a Nation Leader, as both are very demanding, time-consuming jobs, especially when you also are a head of a team))

As you may have seen in the App Team chat, Danny doesn't want Kharajyr to be added to the main server app because he doesn't want LoTC to strafe away from the four main races.

((I believe that was something he said in the past. Regardless, I bet he'd be up for a discussion about it))

Zeriko approaches this scene which he heard from his cold, dim den. He watched in the crowd of Kharajyr near the stairs of the palace, Zeriko was shocked to find Quorak back on Kharajyr shores. After Quorak finished yelling, Zeriko stood forward in-front of the crowd, in clear sight for Quorak to spot Zeriko. Zeriko still wears his pale brown robe with jewelry, wrapped feet and paws.

"Why should we believe a traitor of Kharajyr. A traitor that tried to kill our Tla'Morthawl, and being dis-faithful to Metztli.Quorak, you talk of a crazy Kha' dipped in sorrow of your betrayal and the apes' stupidity. When you ask me to your tent, Zeriko sensed you plot for power and now here you are demanding power. Kharajyr do not believe this mad Kharajyr, he is a lost child to Metztli and must be punished for his evil deeds. Metztli would not reward him, he is no Tla'. No high priest. A selfish, unwise kha'."

((Assuming the suggestion isn't a seperate Kha app but the ability to apply directly as a Kha, I support. The Kha need to loosen their RP restrictions if they want to have any success, in my opinion. I think the recent changes we've been making to the server show that we're moving in this direction, and it would be good for the Kha to follow this path. Flexibility is what makes RP fun for everybody.))

Kerdantul shrugs once, a soft growl erupting from his throat as he heaves his large, serrated war-axe over his shoulder. "Why would we listen to the Kharajyr that was exiled..?" He mutters, before rolling his eyes as he glanced up, bringing his left paw up to scratch his chin. "You're nothing but a traitor to our kind. Trying to fill the Kharajyr with your lies and slander. Remove yourself from our lands, before I come over there and remove you myself."

[[When did the Kha and orcs make peace? Im a little confused on that considering the Orcs were the ones that first started the kha hunting and the like, but meh. Seems I need to re-read the history for new things that have happened.]]

Quorak eyes Zeriko with a calmness.

"Zeriko. I do not judge you simply for disagreeing with me. However, I am disheartened to know that you think me unwise. Please, wise-Kharajyr. Tell me how you plan to sort this problem. This issue."

"If we do not sort this problem, we will fade from the map."

"Metztli deserves more than to be a smudge on a piece of paper, do you not think?"

"I am not a traitor. I did what I did to survive. Morthawl drew his blade, and I then drew mine. I harmed no other than I had to. To survive. I do hope that you, as a Kharajyr, believe that I am at least the slightest part sane."

"We must join with those who are strong to survive. We are too few to occupy this island. It cannot be done."
