Edict of

the Lord Steward of Renatus

 

Clarifying the purpose of the Lord Steward.

Issued and confirmed by His Imperial Majesty the King of Renatus, Ostromir Sarkozic Carrion.

 

At the will of His Imperial Majesty the King of Renatus, Ostromir Sarkozic Carrion, the powers and duties of the Lord Steward of the Kingdom of Renatus are enumerated herein.

 

At the will of His Imperial Majesty the King of Renatus, Ostromir Sarkozic Carrion, the Title of Lord Steward of Renatus is temporarily held by the Prime-Minister until a proper replacement is found.

 

Section I

Civil Duties

 

i. The duty to assist the Prime-Minister in the Royal Company with management and administration in accordance to ii. the Prime-Minister’s needs.

iii. The duty to maintain and oversee all land holdings within the Kingdom.

iv. The duty to act as a land & financial organiser and overseer of all land holdings within the Kingdom.

v. The duty to work with the Prime-Minister to uphold and maintain the Capital of Renatus, Abresi, and any other civil holdings within the Kingdom.

vi. The duty to assist the Lord Marshal with militant economic matters.

vii. The duty to organise and enforce any tax regulations or tithes within the Kingdom.

vii. The duty to organise the economic situation with the Prime-Minister’s assistance within the Kingdom.

viii. The duty to work with the Prime-Minister to maintain and organise the Royal and Civil treasuries of the Kingdom.

 

Section II

Civil Powers

 

i. The ability to halt, start or oversee any construction within the Kingdom without the King’s command.

ii. The ability to set the tax regulations within the Kingdom with the King’s approval.

iii. The ability to make direct reforms within the treasury with the assistance of the Prime-Minister.

iv. The ability to appoint a Treasurer if the Lord Steward’s duties become too much of a burden.

v. The ability to enlist the help of the Lord Marshal with militant assistance with any economic matters.

 

Section III

Appointment to Office

 

i. The office of Lord Steward of Renatus is appointed by his Imperial Majesty the King of Renatus, Ostromir Sarkozic Carrion, in accordance to the civil needs of the Kingdom.

ii. The office of Lord Steward of Renatus is held until death or reappointment by his Imperial Majesty the King of Renatus, Ostromir Sarkozic Carrion, in accordance to the civil needs of the Kingdom.

iii. The office of the Lord Steward of Renatus can be recommended to the King by the Prime-Minister of Renatus.
