The man stood over the fire. All his tears dried up, along with all his joy. No longer would he bear this grief that had plagued him for weeks. beach-bonfire.jpg

The man pulled away his hood, revealing multiple cuts and scratches on his face, with long, messy hair drooping to his shoulders. Picking up the body he head over to the makeshift raft. Their souls would not be stuck on such a sorrowful land, a land the two brothers would not have to dwell on longer. Placing the charred body on the raft, he smelled the smell of freshly burned flesh, the memory of burning his friend's body pulsed in his mind. Slowly he began to write a letter,

To Lark,

My thanks to you would reach past the void. You were like a father to me, I still remember that gift you gave me on my thirteenth birthday.  A leather bound journal, one that I am writing in right now. As I finish this  short letter I hope you understand that my joy is gone, my son gone, the closet person to a brother gone as well. Please do not mourn, and tell Lorik as well that I will miss him and be with you two as a spirit. Please remember me by this piece of paper as well as this.

*the thief's dagger is strapped into the letter, with a four fingered hand on the blade*

To Vuln,

You are and always will be, one of my closest friends ever. Through tough and fun times we had eachother's backs. Sorry this letter is short, I aint one for writin' ya know. Remember me by this, I stole it from ya ches' back in Adunia.

*a small ornate pipe is placed in the letter, with rough edges and dull carvings, as if it had been bought, or more likely stolen, many years ago*

The thief sends off these last two letters and pushes the raft off the beach. Slowly drifting out into the calm harbor.  He takes a torch from his pack and also a necklace from his chest, half of a Nieric Cross, and places it on the charred body of his friend. Dropping the torch on the raft and closed his hand around a gem and layed beside the body of one of the closest people to him. As the fire spread, Bod looked beside the body and whispered,

"See ya soon Tali' ."

The gates of the afterlife slowly opened. Talibar's eyes danced from his training yard to the gates. A familiar figure lies there before him. The lips of the great warrior pulsated into a bright smile. A voice rang out throughout the magnificence of which the newcomer now entered, "Welcome home, brother."

Deep in the forests of Barrowmarsh, Lark Steelwall, otherwise known as Four Fingers, The Hermit Blacksmith

sits alone in his shack, running a finger up and down the blade as he reads over the letter for the tenth time.

"My bes' work ye', an' now 'es gone."

A tear drops down onto the wooden table, mixed in with the world's weeping.

Four Fingers gets up and walks up to his tree-stump tower and looks towards

Kralta, recalling all the memories of Bod. Clutching the note in his hands he

nods in remembrance in Bod and chants to himself an old mourning song

from his homelands.

Later on, Four Fingers went behind his forged and

etched something in the stone.

Lorik finishes up his fishing at the lake by Kralta, and is sent a bird, signed by 'F.F'..

He begins reading, as tears roll down his cheek. Lorik puts the letter in a safe place, and begins working on a grave, to honor Bod.. a great friend.

((R.I.P Bod ;( ))

Bael reaches up into the heavens and pulls most important Herald of Dwand back to Anthos for more rustling.
