From the days of FNOD THE FOUNDER, the Skanarri have been faithful servants of the Red Faith and its tenets, such which we have realized the leaders of Vansk have ultimately betrayed. They seek their own ascension, their own fiefdoms to rule from, and now divide the Northmen tribes despite the necessity of a united front in the face of Southron incursions. It should come as no surprise that we, the Skanarri, will not tolerate this. Though bearing our own disagreements in the past, the Kingdom of Norland is righteous in this cause - this cause which seeks to unify the tribes of the north under our shared faith which those of Vansk would see divided in petty squabbles. The High Chieftain of the resurgent Skanarri, Ingvar Eiriksson Ruric, reads over the missive with furrowed brows. The peace of the north had been disturbed, and now it was time to be decided what he and his tribe would do about it. FROM THE MARGRAVIATE OF AVISTRA A CALL TO THE LORDS OF BURGUNDY Issued on the third of Snow’s Maiden, in the year of our Lord, 2024 GOOD LORDS OF BURGUNDY, I pen this letter to you all to seek the initiation of something which has been upon my mind for a long time, since before the Kingdom of Burgundy had even formed. The Lords of Burgundy are some of the most influential in all the realms, and the noble houses most definitely have a right to be heard. Yet, as it stands, there is no organized body with which to gather around and discuss our feelings on particular matters. While I would not dare to presume what the Crown of Burgundy has in store for its government in the near future, I feel it pertinent to at least give the push which may drive it forth. Therefore, I invite the Lords of Burgundy to the former seat of the Holy See, the Apostolic City, to gather and create the BURGUNDIAN DIET. Such a body would, in theory, serve as an advisory group with which to provide the Crown of Burgundy with the opinions of the many noble houses which rule the realm. Be aware, this Diet shall have no legal holding lest given direct permission by His Majesty's Crown. The structure would be as follows; Each direct Crown vassal, such as Alba or Ravenmire, are provided with 4 votes. Each indirect vassal, such as a vassal of a vassal, will be provided with 1 vote. The first prerogative of this initial meeting shall be to elect a LORD SPEAKER, who will be tasked with organizing future Diet meetings and bringing forth matters of discussion. It shall furthermore be the duty of this position to ensure debates within the Diet chamber are kept civil at all times. INVITATIONS, All lords are invited and encouraged to attend so their voice may be heard. Likewise, His Royal Majesty, Tiberias I, is invited or welcome to send a representative in their name. THE SKANARRI REFORGED THE TRIBE HAS ENDURED GREAT HARDSHIP. From the days of FNOD THE FOUNDER, the Skanarri have endured endless wars both against themselves and those of other tribes. The Tribe has endured endless winter storms in the frozen north so as to test themselves as true followers of the All-Father. The Tribe has been shattered, unified, shattered, then united again under many who call themselves HIGH CHIEFTAIN. Yet, over a century ago the lives of the Skanarri were abruptly changed. The SVEN’S DAY MASSACRE annihilated thousands of Skanarri, killed the tribal elders, and forced the fractured remnants to flee into the Almarisian Ice Spikes where many more would die due to a lack of resources. The Skanarri were on the edge of extinction with over 90% of the original Skanarri population being felled. Yet still, the surviving Skanarri clung to their faith in the All-Father. They clung to their traditions, their ways of life, and grew determined to one day resurface among the world. Under the leadership of INGVAR EIRIKSSON RURIC, this dream became possible. The surviving Skanarri clans were rallied, either through war or through diplomacy. Traditions were reforged to strengthen the surviving population. Southrons were permitted to join the tribe under the condition that they abandoned their Southron culture, name, and identity in favor of walking the path of the All-Father. Southron captives are permitted to become Thralls with the opportunity to later become tribesmen, or are put to death. New clans are being forged to fill the vacuum that the decimation of the old clans left behind. Though not nearly reaching the same numbers they once had prior to the near-annihilation of their people, the Skanarri now stand ready to re-enter the political landscape of the north. Raids have been launched against Southron invaders who hold land in the north. Religion has been revitalized and new priests learn the ways of the All-Father. The Skanarri migrate all across the far north, never remaining in one place for too long so as to avoid their foes and follow the migration of their herds. The Stewards of the North have made their return with the intention of purifying it of those who would leave their Southron or Voidal taint upon the land. The Skanarri are reforged under the leadership of a grizzled veteran hailing from a line of Kings and Chieftains. The question is, will you join them on their rise to power?

FROM THE MARGRAVIATE OF AVISTRA A PETITION TO THE CROWN OF BURGUNDY Issued on the third of Snow’s Maiden, in the year of our Lord, 2024 YOUR MAJESTY, I pen this missive to you as a humble servant and leal vassal of the Crown of Burgundy & Principate of Ivoria. The ascension of the new Burgundine realm has brought many noble families to our burgeoning realm, with many fleeing the devastating War of Crown and Crozier which has destroyed or subjugated many a nation which once stood against us. Our Kingdom bears no shortage of lands, many of whom have been untouched or undeveloped for decades or simply ever. One such region is the lands once held by the heathen Trade-State of Vortice which was soundly defeated in the Robertine Crusade. However, since the victory of the faithful over these heathen-states, these lands have largely been left untouched and unsettled. Yet now I, as I am sure many others do, see the potential in this land. Noble houses flock to the banners of Burgundy, seeking new lands and titles with which to call their own. While there is of course a benefit in remaining close to the crownlands, it would be worthwhile to invest in settling a handful of these noble houses into the far eastern border of our Kingdom so it may be developed and secured. Therefore, I petition and propose the creation of the Province of Vortice, a land which would encompass most of the extreme hills and karsts regions which lay unsettled by noble houses. This Province would, in theory, be led by a Governor to be selected by His Majesty’s council to effectively govern, develop, and pacify the region. It would act much the same as a crown vassal such as the Duchy of Alba, with the nobles who settle in the region paying tax to the Governor, who then pays to the Crown itself. I feel that such a proposal and the creation of this internal polity would bring much needed revenue to the Crown, whilst putting less strain upon the Crownlands to house the nobles in need of land.
