  1. Fionn Castaway, Royal Toe Sucker, eyed the poster and took one down from the notice board, pocketing it for later reference "No one endangers my employer!" He whispered to himself with a rageful tone.
  2. I LOVE LIMO MAN MY FAVOURITE TRACK RUNNER GLORY TO THE GRYPHON
  3. The new Lord Handler would be quite quick to put his name down on the list "Would be quite questionable for the Lord Handler to not at least run" he'd mutter to himself as he filled in the information needed. IGN: Fionn__TWG Character Name: Fionn Castaway Age: 30 Place of Residence / Street Address: Koenastriet II Position: (Alderman or Maer): Alderman

  5. Fionn finally finished dragging his eyes across the bore of an edition "Quite an underwhelming edition if I say so myself." He'd throw the edition in his office bin as he continued procrastinating on DUMA bills.
  6. Fionn looked in confusion at Alkesandra's stupidity as he muttered to himself "How the **** is she going to fight water?" He'd pull out a letter and address it to Clan Goldhand. It would read "Dear Clan Goldhand, I write today to request that you also declare war on Aleksandra Ludovar. Not Haense, not House Ludovar, just her." The rest would be a long ramble written by Fionn while in a drunken haze. The letter would reek of Carrion Black once it reached Urguan.
  7. Fionn Castaway does a double take when he reads about the colossal 6,000 mina being found "Classic Brandt, always getting the bag." He says to himself before continuing putting defences together at the main gate.
  8. A rush of excitement comes over Fionn as he realises the possibilities eastward, though one stayed on his mind longer than the rest "Bombsite?"
  9. A smile spreads across Fionn's face as he sees his actions have made this edition "Maybe it's a good thing after all that Father Ferdinand couldn't shut his mouth that day." He said as he finished reading the newsletter and started actually paying attention to the Duma.
  10. Fionn Castaway looked at the tabloid and pondered "Quite an entertaining tabloid, even if it is false. Perhaps I could spread misinformation about someone to make it even more interesting. But who? Perhaps Aleksandra Ludovar would make a good victim..." Fionn giggled to himself as he walked down the stairs of his manor. @AnonymousAlexa
  11. Fionn Castaway sits there in total shock, not being able to understand how anyone other than Ser Brandt Barclay could come up with such a genius product.
  12. Fionn would take the flyer and read it, before giving a confused look "Why do I need this, I can just beat Ida instead"

  18. As a player who joined nearly 2 weeks ago with 26 hours on the server (is that a lot for that time?) I can say the point about inactive cities is very true. I was very lucky to choose to walk to Haense, specifically Karosgrad at a time when it was very active, and if I walked to another city with less activity, I likely would have been one of the players who quit after day one. Many new players likely walk to only one settlement, and if that settlement is inactive at the time, that's another potential regular player we've probably lost because let's be honest, there are very few things you can do in LotC One complaint about the activity in a city, however, is that activity in a city seems to skyrocket at the time an event starts, and plummets around the time it ends. Plus it doesn't help when cities can feel full of life but then turn into a ghost town 5 minutes later. I think it would be great idea if a plugin was added which would display the 5 most active kingdoms at the time of joining. That way, there would be a better chance of players running into more people and having their first experience of roleplay in the server, giving them more of an incentive to stay on the server, as I'm sure people would much rather their first impression be a having an interesting conversation with someone in the tavern of a lively city than searching the empty streets of an inactive city hoping to find someone. But at some point, you're going to be by yourself, whether it's at a home you constructed in a patch of land you own, or walking from one city to the next, and those times really determine whether the player becomes a regular or quits. People are giving up their time to be on this server, and they will leave to find something more engaging if they feel it isn't worth their time. One of the ways already in place is the various voice channels in every discord server related to LotC, but some people may feel shy or awkward in a group of people they've only met for the first time.I was one of those people, and still am to some extent, but I'm glad I decided to join an active vc rather than sit in silence or listen to music on repeat, because now I've met some great people I can have fun with. However, many people may never take the join of joining an active vc, and may never become active in any of the discord servers, which means they are missing out on one of the best parts of LotC. I feel as though we should try and promote discord in LotC so that new players can have an easier time finding a community that suits them, and also appoint a person, or multiple to maximise the windows where someone is available, who help integrate people into each nation and are willing to give up their time to help new players. I know Haense has 2 great people who do this (shoutout to @AnonymousAlexa (even though she sucks at pvp) and @MikoMonster) but I have heard that other nations have people in charge of this who are not up to par. A guide to a nation can make or break a potential future leader, soldier, craftsman etc. depending on how these people come off and how they help them. One of my biggest worries about the server so far is the lack of interactions with npcs that lead to something, as right now it's just one liners from the npcs that cannot be interacted. No matter how many players are active on World of Warcraft,it wouldn't have stayed relelvant for as long as it has without the quests and interactions that stem from npcs. A quest system would help new players better integrate themselves into the world, rather than have to rely on other people for immersive gameplay, and an interactive conversations system with npcs could be a nice way for the player to learn about the lore and history of the world naturally rather than have to look it up. Yes, both of these systems could take a while to code and such, but I feel like they would be worth it as they would help inactive cities feel less barren and would help the player feel like they're making a difference in the world. At the end of the day, I have loved playing on this server these past 2 weeks, and enjoy logging on to experience something with other people, and I would hate to see this server die due to some small things that turn players away from it, but at the end of the day, It is clear that at the current state of the server, it is very hard for new players for be immersed and hooked on the world, whcih will eventually lead to this server becoming desolate.

Redick was born in the capital city of the Holy Orenian Empire. He was the youngest of two son, the other being named Cameron. when he was 4, his parents died of a strange illness, and he then moved to an obsolete knighthood order where his brother was trained as a knight, called The Order of the Red Stag. Here, he was sometimes trained in the art of combat by his brother, when he was on his free, but he was mostly raised by the Knighthood's leader, Seren. He taught Redick how to read and write, and taught him the ways of a knight, including humility and chivalry. He often told Redick that an honorable man was the noblest of professions, and that nothing was impossible for a man who keeps to his values. During his free time, Redick would often be found at the stable, tending to the order's horses. Redick loved the natural beauty of horses and their loyalty to their rider, rivaling the loyalty of a man's dog. He started to believe that a horse is what truly makes a knight a knight. When Redick was 16, the order was raided by a large party of orcs. They easily overpowered the knights, and killed Seren, the man Redick considered to be a father to him, right in front of him. Redick escaped by jumping into a river from one of the battlements of the fort, and swimming upstream. His brother was out there, carrying out a scouting mission at the time. He probably didn't know what happened. Redick rushed to find him, but was too late, instead finding the parts of Cameron that the orcs left behind. Redick traveled the Rexdom, looking for the party of orcs that killed his brethren, and eventually found them recently, asleep after a raid, and burned down their camp. The orcs' screams filled his heart with satisfaction. He then walked away, ready to start a new chapter of his life.
