[!] A depiction of the horse that ran straight into a fire after I accidentally got off of it and had to chase it down while not being able to save it. It died. It's name was david @MNT_Plovdiv and it was beautiful. You all know what I mean. Why is this not called for every day... idk? Just in case youve been living under a rock/walking everywhere; whenever you get off of a horse, it takes about 5 seconds to get back onto it. While that might not seem like a long time, its ffucking unnecessary. Some people say its so that horse pvp isnt overpwered, but 1) horse pvp wasnt that bad before, seeing as how any leaf landing on a horse's head rendered it in stasis for like an hour. and 2) pvp was removed from the server a couple days ago. Please let me get back on a horse without having to go raise a family by the time it will let me get onto it again. Thank you!!!! Love you all <33333

Surely this was a happier option than Filip having to show his wife attention.

You took the time to sit down and explain things to the public, and answer questions in a polite way and in very good detail. That is the goal of why I made this post so thank you for bringing that to a reality. I think one of the biggest problems with the world team in general is that there are no like explainations for things like you just outlined here. At least none that are easy to find references or links to. Like Mod team has its own sections on the forum website where the rules they enforce are, story team has the lore pages and redlines (and the wiki technically), community team also has the wiki (obv. for a different purpose than ST but yknow what im saying), and then tech team has that one new recently released project board. But now, if people have questions or whatever about certain things that world team does, good answers are right here. Big poggers World team, if only they had more people like you who explained things and referenced more information, would not be as looked down upon as they are. I am of course, to reiterate, speaking in my humble ignorant noobie opinion, as I have only been here for like 8 months.

For sure its not like WT's computers are the only ones who can run map art and region greeting programs. Perhaps if they just said the name or gave the link to the tools they used, the community could just do it themselves and there would only be need for restriction if the art or region greetings were like explicit or sexual. Other than that, I see no reason why making art in an rp server where you can do anything you want should be restricted to the builder boys, or restricted at all.

When you say that, is there anything specific about WTs relationship with admin specifically that led to the... for lack of a better term, diminishing of the team? Perhaps it has something to do with the facet that I didnt even know who the world admin was until about a month ago, and probably 80% of lotc still doesnt.

Usually I would begin these long winded coping sessions with a preface, but one is not needed here, because you all know what this is about. Where is world team? What are they doing? These 2 simple questions have bounced around in my head for a while now. World team is obviously a crucial part of the staff for reasons that I will go into later, and to say it in the most respectful way possible, i'd like them to get back in action. Here are some of the things from my humble noobie experience that the world team is responsible for; Map art: Putting pictures on maps and giving it to players for an extra layer of decoration and scenery to a place. Obviously it doesn't have to all be typed out how much this improves the immersion and rp of a building’s interior, or even just makes individual blocks look 1000 times cooler. It also removes the need for 3 or 4 ugly ass signs to be placed in front of the very thing we're supposed to be looking at. But I digress. SoulStone Pillars: Of course this is going to be a BIG part of the rp and travel around the large map of almaris, so being able to answer questions about these things is equally as important to the people that use the pillars as it is to the ROs and PROs that have to manage them. Region greetings: You all know these, they are what you see when you walk onto a tile/region and see the large paragraph in the bottom left, and theyre ******* awesome.They are very useful for setting a scene and enhancing some aspects of rp that wouldnt be otherwise mentioned. Some people ignore them or read them once and never pay attention again, but the fact is, theyre cool and should be everywhere that PROs and ROs can pay for. Roads: Self Explanatory, connecting one building or town to another. Pasting Builds: This one is a sore spot for the community’s interaction with the world team. Never has anyone said that WT is ever pleasant or punctual when it comes to pasting in builds. And while that is not the fault of WT members, it always fascinates us how long some pastes can take to get finished, and how ghostly some of the WTs seem to be as soon as we need them. [As a full disclaimer, I have never had to deal with a WT for a paste, but I have been on the council of ~5 different settlement/nation leaders and have been there for the firsthand accounts.] Next Map: Self Explanatory, building the next map. And of course building the ET event sites or improving the natural world we already have. Now, it makes me very happy to say that I HAVE seen WT members deal with a lot of these wreqs quickly, and efficiently; specifically the Road and SoulStone ones. However, regarding the Map art and region greeting ones, WT was sadly much less than helpful on those. My issue is not that the world team has closed those opportunities for RP improvement off from the community, especially for people willing to pay lots and lots of minas. My issue is that the reasons they gave were vague and left a lot of room for doubt. For the map art that I had requested, waited, and pinged for, I was told roughly that people were being spammed with requests and were on hiatus, so it could not be done. Which is fine, but when I asked again almost a month later, WT (including managers) still just said they were closed and left it at that. (this is confirmed still an active block by a conversation ive had only a few minutes ago.) - For region greetings (this one makes me frown), I was told in no long words that region greetings were not available either, and also that they were only for nation capital tiles. The claim made in the last sentence is not true. Im sure you and I have all seen plenty of region greeting messages on nation vassals and other non-ST event sites, and I can think of 3 that come to mind right off the top of my head (those being Sarissa, Krew, and Stygian). Now perhaps I mis-rememberd what the answering WT said (which is unlikely but certainly a possibility), but even if that was a newly instated rule, I certainly haven't heard of it. No posts, no announcements, no reference to that from the WT that rejected the RG. This leads me to my next and main point. “Oh lomiei, stop coping and seething about how you cant have cool maps or a region message” Firstly, shutup keegan. Secondly, shutup keegan. Thirdly, this is not about the things we cant have, as cool as they’d be. Its about the fact that world team does not talk to us. They are just as important as any other team for the longevity and short term beauty of the server, and yet they are the ones who get shit on most by the community, and the ones who get the least attention. But this, this is the final nail in the coffin for me. Some time ago, a young and dumb lomiei_ decided to join WT, to see if he could address some of these issues, to maybe produce some of these benefits to the community, to try and support the team in the lesser important roles so that the main hitters could focus on the big stuff, but most of all, to be a conduit for the community to talk to and see what was going on with the team, since there was not any public figues that answered questions about what was going on with WT. BUT! ALAS! My app was, for lack of a better term, ignored. A response in a few hours would be impossible, in a few days would be unreasonable… but a week? A week seemed like it wouldnt be too bad for a team that didnt seem to be doing much else. And as such, when 7 days passed, I excitedly pinged the world team… this is what I got. Why are they not adding new members? I have no idea. This is quite confusing, considering the fact that the above issues could be addressed by some new blood that has the time and energy to provide aid. And yet, ‘their hands are tied’. Ive been rambling for too damn long so lemme conclude. Im not asking for map art and region greetings or for builds to be pasted in on time (although those things would be cool). I'm just asking that the world team makes it easier to discuss things with them, to have open lines of discussion where we can get more than 1 sentence responses to our questions. That's all, it's completely understood that staff is a volunteer service, and that it's all meant to be a fun and beneficial group for the community, so if anything good comes from this post, lets just… y'know… talk to each other. I feel like I would get banned just for having this pack on my computer.... For your 1st con point, Elysium is permenantly lag-central and nothing will ever change that. As well, yea i always turn off my shaders and put on my pvp texturepack before getting into pvp. but yea, i like the look of those builds with conquest and from my initial research, conquest reforged (idk if thats the same one?) came up a LOT so ill definately be giving it a look. Thank you for the recommendation.
