  1. I disagree - people can and should step up to mantles and fill in positions. With fwitches its impossible precisely because it's written into and enforced by lore
  2. As Fwitch lore currently stands, if a Mother wants to take a break, the Coven is essentially crippled through lore and in roleplay until they return. That's a terrible way to run a Coven - people should be able to take breaks without the community being unable to properly function IRP because there's no resurrection, mothers need breaks from running communities just as any other roleplay leaders do
  3. OLD Sabbath of Resurrection The Sabbath of Resurrection remains to be one of the most significant Sabbaths to be performed by the Witches. When a Witch is ripped from the realm through grotesque and deliberate means, she will not reform at the Altar as usual. With the aid of a Frost Mother and another witch within the coven, this ritual may be performed to return the soul of the deceased Witch back to the living realm. Mechanics NEW Sabbath of Resurrection The Sabbath of Resurrection remains to be one of the most significant Sabbaths to be performed by the Witches. When a Witch is ripped from the realm through grotesque and deliberate means, she will not reform at the Altar as usual. Requiring three witches, or 1 Mother and 1 Witch, this ritual may be performed to return the soul of the deceased Witch back to the living realm. Mechanics PURPOSE This massively reduces the reliance on Mothers and permits them to take breaks without the Coven dissolving due to all the Witches dying and being unable to be brought back without the Mother. It also nerfs the murderhobo mechanics. ———«»————————————«»————————————«»——— OLD Witch Death and Resurrection As the Fjarriagua are wicked creatures which the Monks of the Cloud Temple refuse to bring back, should the Witch perish, her soul will be pulled back to their Coven’s Altar instead. Once her soul has reached the Altar, the power of the Altar will cause nearby precipitation to father, creating a large fractal of ice nearby the Altar from which the Witch will emerge. However, there may be times in which a Fjarriagua dies in an exceedingly gruesome fashion, to the point where her soul is completely nearly ripped from the Material Realm, sustained only by her seething hatred and will, requiring that only the direct intervention of her Mother and sisters can bring her back. While within this state, the Witch is reduced to a phantasmal state, yet far weaker than any ghost or specter, as she cannot interact with the realm around her whatsoever, not even to speak. The only way she may alert her sisters to her presence is by returning directly to the Altar and calling out for mercy. The Mother of that Coven will then be drawn to the Altar, hearing the Witch’s faint cries for help. She may then perform the Sabbath of Resurrection along with her daughters in order to bring back the fallen Witch. Usually, the method of killing Darkspawn is cutting their head off or stabbing their heart; the types of death that are considered ‘over the top’ in the above post are commonplace nowadays. Restricting the soft PK measure to burning makes the soft-pk mechanic far more narrative driven; of course burning the frost witch nearly rips their soul from the material realm - of course it requires special intervention from the Mother. It’s a simple, easy change that makes the piece and the roleplay more aesthetically pleasing and a soft buff that encourages the Fjarriagua to get out and about in villainy without fearing constant soft-pks from overly zealous foes.
  4. okay, but what do the doomforge creation logs have to do with the veletzian war?

i am just coming to that. you said you wanted a serious conversation, not a talk show. anyways, as i was saying, in arcas, the war of the two emperors raged for many years..

    1. Epicethan4

      Epicethan4

Sir Gaspard, why did you kidnap the Princess of Balian?

Gaspard: Many moons ago, a powerful, and perhaps foolish creator birthed four brothers into the land known as Aegis. The children of a single man and woman, they were Malin, an Elf, Krug an Orc, Horen a Human, and Urguan, a Dwarf. These brothers then spread out amongst the four corners of the realm and created unique civilisations in order to house and protect them.

  5. "This is quite daft." So commented Serwa. "The Paladins are not heretical. They fight the Darkspawn you currently fail to spot." She spoke angrily at the letter, rather like an obese MAGA uncle shouts angrily whilst reading a woke liberal tweet on X.
  6. "Kings, too often, find their folly measured in the suffering of others." Yandel grasped his sword, pondering briefly upon a stack of letters. "But true Salvation is found in times of strife, not of peace. Once more, we enter into an age of heroes and demons."
  7. "Fake news," commented a Haenser peasant named Trucker. "He's definitely ill, the Mainstream Haensi Media said so."
  8. probably the most bubblewrap rule for spooks and villains since lairs were created (darkspawn groups based around attacking and corrupting/disguising themselves from humanity get to completely isolate themselves from humanity) extend the timer and remove it when within cities. also remove bell cooldown (sorry boss, I can't ring the bell for another 20 minutes, my arms are tired), and remove the command of the bell notifying people on discord so that it becomes a purely in-game function (some ppl will still metagame but it'll at least stem some of the flow) and also punish ppl who ping in discords 'zomg? bells gone off? raiders are here? log on and defend..' because thats ooc bullshittery of the highest order
  9. Character Name: Gholug Character Looks: Gholug bears swamp-green skin, and a missing eye. Beyond that, he resembles any other orc - save his distinctive lack of hair. (I will have to work out a skin). Character Backstory / personality etc: War is black. War is pitch. War is when the hollow bones of men meet the iron bones of the earth and break. Born and raised during war, Gholug bears a violent and tetchy personality. Being, by this point, nearly a man, Gholug carries hard the memories of defeat and humiliation on the battlefield - and the lance of the Haenser who took his eye, bearing the standard of the Church. Gholug holds an innate disdain for magicians. Though he respects and worships the Spirits, his mind has always eventually travelled lied elsewhere during rituals; he is not scarred by the battlefield, but instead moulded. Consequently, the curse of Iblees has a great hold over his soul. He is easy to provoke, and has no understanding of the finer subtleties of the elven, dwarven or human courts. He is not stupid - if anything, Gholug is too clever for his own good, having quickly (in his mind) attributed the many losses during the war to his father, Grommash. To the two of them, the war is a source of great tension; Gholug, having lost his eye in one of the lost battles, finds the humiliation of having lost to the unmanly Haensers unbearable, and blames his father for the loss of his eye. Beyond the war, Gholug is as any normal son; respectful and deferring to his father, but not loving. Not quite.

  11. I'm moreso worried about Corcitura suddenly emoting things akin to *uses heightened perception to spot where your armour was struck before, strikes critical weakpoint with great force to splinter through armour*
  12. feels very abusable in CRP. a nice flavour idea but unsure if going so far as to point out weak spots in armour without proper red lines is a sensible idea - perhaps make it flavour only? it'd be great lore if it was

You gotta make sure that when you're hanging up your Christmas STOCKings, to use industrial grade tacks; if you do not have the finger strength to stick it into the mantle; then use a children's hammer. You're welcome!
