Little late to this thread, but I’ve been on the server going on 8 years so I think I can give a little bit of good feedback (please feel free to disagree). I see a lot of players commenting on nostalgia and I am guilty of talking down about the server because of my nostalgia. I didn’t play as often as I liked through college and I haven’t been on in a few weeks because of my IRL commitments, but the last few months I really enjoyed. I didn’t enjoy them because of any content the staff did but what the players around me did. Occasionally there was drama but that always ended up resolving itself. I think the biggest issue with the server is player entitlement. It is a role play minecraft server and a community not an RPG like skyrim, fallout, Wow, etc. The people who complain about the server being boring are usually just players who aren’t putting in effort into talking to other players (the ones just sprint jumping in circles) go out and make an effort to rp with new players. It seems a fair amount of players get locked into cliques and don’t try and reach out and rp with other players because of some OOC drama or are just shy to go up to another player and say hello. It’s a community issue. To tie this into the nostalgia, when I first started playing in aegis I was much younger and felt way less entitled in terms of what a good game was and what role play should be like. I think the key to being a better community is to not let yourself take everything so seriously in game. In earlier maps we didn’t have things like the Event team, or Lore team. Players had a lot of freedom with what they did and because the server was newer cliques weren’t as prominent. But I doubt we can truly get back to that state of game play today because the server just doesn’t have the numbers anymore. I remember having to donate to the server just to get on because VIP players didn’t have to wait in a queue when 500 players were online. I think we were on the right path recently in my perspective, many of the new players have stepped up and brought many new perspectives to the server. I found it way less toxic recently than it was around 3.0-4.0. I look forward to the future of the server I mean, hey who knows, maybe we could migrate over to hytale?

Hey guys (and other genders), figured I'd share some work I did last night with y'all. I've been working on a game and just managed to finish up the first piece of our game's HUD. It's not finished as I still need to do some detail and add a stamina slider as well, but I think it's coming along rather nicely. Let me know what y'all think. Servano has never truly had any responsibilities so when his family funds went down the drain he experienced what can only be called the downfall of his golden age. Without the money provided by his family, Servano went off in all different directions seeking out any way he could to gain some sort of coin for shelter and food. Servano managed to meet a few people along the way that were nice enough to help him pay off debts he had owed. By the time he finished paying the debts Servano still did not have a realistic concept of money due to the fact that those who helped him pay off the debts did not allow him to fix his problems on his own. Servano is now as poor and greedy as ever because the only real relationship he has ever had was with money. While playing on this map for a few days and I have yet to see a sheep, nor any other animal. As a head builder for Alras, I know that we need lots of wool for our build, in fact we need just about 3,500 blocks of it. So while we wait on some sort of "Call of the Wild" to release all of these animals, we have to spend 3 minas a piece on one single piece of wool at a shop, We dont even get enough money at the start to get a stack of wool. Oh, did I mention it was a GM shop, where will a gm go to spend money when they can just spawn in the item or just spawn in the money! This has already decided that the server will have no economy by these chain of events. Lets not forget that about 4 skills rely on animals in the first place! breeding, leather working, blacksmithing, and cooking! So please Fix this problem by turning on mob spawn allow... Thanks
