Ummm... Like I said, I don't really know, but maybe we can put a gate on teachers. I believe that's what is "messing up" this new system, it's the teachers. Some people who don't fully understand their magic teach it to others because y'know, why not, no problem with that. But when they pass that lacked knowledge on it slowly and slowly gets more vague and what people call, powergamey. Maybe if there's a gate on the teachers it might help the problem. But aside from that, magic should stay open?... Idk, I'm not sure lol.

I'm on the edge slightly about this... I say yes mostly though, I think magic should be locked because it was a lot more enjoyable when the RP was rarer to find, now you can just be in any city, village, forest, anything and you'll find magic. It's gotten to the point where the RP isn't cool anymore. When it was locked magic was a hard thing to come by and it was VERY enjoyable to run across a magic user. I suggest purging all the magic apps and getting every current magic user to create a magic application with sufficient evidence they learnt the magic. Plus a lot of magics are PGed now a days lololololololololol Btw no one has to re-learn, they just have to have evidence they learnt it.

I do it all the time on my Shaman. And Necros can already curse an area so it drains all the life force out of said area. Like ds said, it's already possible.
