  1. Meanwhile you all laugh and joke about another player here who has an onlyfans and made a video for the server here of them smacking their ass. The same video that got distributed around the entirety of LotC discords where plenty of minors are. Doesnt matter if the video maker intended for it to get distributed or not. It should've never been made. None of you ever complained about that. None of you ever brought it up to staff. Quit cherry picking what is right and wrong.
  2. A letter would be pinned to a wall outside of a tucked away library within the cavern of Heliviiryn. Our desire for knowledge. A thirst that cannot be quenched. A hunger that can never be satiated. Our fervor for knowledge and understanding has never been greater. Many have been offered their chance for salvation. A chance at redemption, perhaps in the eyes of their own almighty. Regardless of who you choose to praise - Why do you think all of your so-called gods come together to strike you down this path of hardship? They force you from fruitful lands; Lands destroyed by your fickle wars with no meaning or perhaps lands destroyed as you have built massive and desolate cities upon them, only for them to never return to the greenery that once stood in its place. Sent unto the under realm for your trepidation as you all gathered within Savoy. Why do you refuse to accept your fate? Your answer lies within ones self. A hand print would be left at the bottom of the letter in black ink. The hand is distinguishable by leaving behind only two and a half fingers on the print. Perhaps this was a signature? The one who had pinned the letter would then walk amongst the library, running his hand amongst the vast amount of books until something stopped him within his tracks. A book, wrapped in gold, stuck out in the library of the mundane knowledge. He would climb the bookshelf, grabbing hold of the book and tucking it away into his satchel before he would make his way out of the library to study the relict.
  3. Death to many is seen as death of ones physical form. Simple is, as the mind of the mere mortal descendant am. But is even death considered a true ending to ones life? Or perhaps it is seen as a new beginning for some. When you feel you've no more life to live, no more life to give, what drives a mortal to continue on? For if he serves no purpose, what value does he wield in a realm of have's and have not's? Many contemplate their life and what has led them to the inevitable end... But was it truly inevitable? Could it have been prevented? What mistakes you've made define your path as much as the great you may have done. Perhaps your mistakes outweighed your greatness. But if it was not inevitable, then, is this truly the end? For some it is. For others, an eternity of torture and servitude awaits them. As your soul is stretched beyond imaginable means, rolled through the rolling pins filled with nails, tacks, and blades you will wonder if it is the end. Only to have your soul ripped into thin air, the millionth piece floating off into the atmos. Only to be put back together and to suffer a new type of torture once more. You will know pain. You will know suffering. You will know regret. You will repent. Your almighty may forgive you. Only in his forgiveness, will you find your answers. The masked figure continues to wander about Savoy as he watches the mice crawl amongst the snakes.

  5. Why not just put the effort into finishing the rewrite? Theres quite a bit of effort exerted here that could've been used to further the rewrite along. Many hands make light work. Invite some new people, non-frost witches, to help flush out the rewrite and offer new ideas. Not saying you dont deserve the bandaid. Just unsure why you wouldnt just gather some more people you can trust to help get the rewrite done faster?
  6. *Letters make their way to the inboxes of all those who live within Almaris. Atop the letter would be a cryptic drawing of an old man.* What you’ve done has not gone unnoticed. We’ve been blessed With land beneath our feet While we hunt and gather Searching for something to eat. Something to eat, we have found Plucked from trees And harvested from the ground. The one that has blessed us has granted us this food We continued to eat and take But offered no gratitude in return. So we continued to feast Till our stomachs grew full Fat and overencumbered We had become dull. The one that has blessed us has seen our greed As we’ve continued To bite the hand that feeds. You have chosen your fate, denizen of Almaris. Now you pay the price for your greed. You have chosen to take from this land, claiming it belonged to your kin all along. Yet its true owner laid slumbering in its depths. Now, you cower in fear as their wrath slowly comes over Almaris. You seek forgiveness for your wrongdoings. You seek answers to the many questions you have. You seek to repent your sins and wish for your life to be spared. But is it too late…? I hold the answers to your questions. 7. A man sits alone, deep within the depths of his home. Within the depth was a dark cave with multiple artifacts surrounding him. Most would be the eyes of those who had slighted the poor man, others were weapons and trophies. The eyes would peer around the room and seemingly follow the man as he walked amongst the dark cave before coming to a halt. His loyalties in question, he thought of his past, present, and future. He had made mistakes in his past and sought to correct these mistakes in the present for a better future for his people. People that he had considered close family even though they are not of the same ilk. He had knowledge dating back to his reign of the book that had circulated the populace of his people, seeking to slaughter the poor man for simply trying to defend his people from the tyrants of the world and allowing them to be as free as they could be. He sought that no citizen of his were to be bound by the chains of law and order of his nation and so they plotted. Plotted they had indeed. A book detailing the dark creatures that have existed amongst their own and those enslaving his people also included the multi-phase plan to assassinate the poor man. Yet they would never act upon this plan, the man had always felt slighted by his people. He has given them everything he had to give besides his own life. He has sworn his own life and soul to the spirits but now his own people wished to take this from him. In his saddened state deep within the cave, he began to weep. (( Slight Gore warning. I have spoiler'd this section incase you did not wish to read this part. )) A couple days would pass. Maggots, flies, and other bugs would swarm the man as he laid lifeless upon the floor. The maggots feast upon the rotting pieces of flesh and upon the open wounds of the man. As the time had passed, his vision began to come back to him once again and he’d be seemingly awakened. A muffled voice of unknown origin spoke to him in his dreary state. “Å̡̻̭̖͙̥̻̽̏̒w̭̺͉̻͖̥̟̫͛͢a̴̦̟̱̖̞̺̟ͣͩk̺̮̊͘e̔͑҉̬͇̱͚͎̘n͕̰̦̩͙͍̗͆ͥ̎ͮ͡,̮̰̬̠͉͙̇̔͝ ̆͏͈̳̼̼̣m͓͙̖̗̙̼̿ͫ̔͠y̹̲̭̞͉͇̭̒ͣ́̚̚ ͖̖͎̙͎͎̟̳ͨ̎͜s͎̫̯̻̅ͤ̓̚͞o̰̜̓͢n̞̺̥͍̼ͫ̏̌ͮ́.” (Awaken, my son.) “Ị̵̗̰͍͙̪͕͆ͅ ̧͍̘̰̦ͥ̓̚ḧ̢̗̼́ȃ̸͎̲̺̱̓͛ͫv̨̟͈̙̲̺̫̱̅e̤̭̠ͬͥ͊̆̕ ̖͉̲̺͔͇ͥͣ̕ṅ̷͍͚͕̜̘o̧̘̙̻͖̲̻̫̣̽̋t̨̬̻̟̍ ͯ͋̏҉̝͇̯̫ḡ̟̣ͥͧͮ́ͅi͎͚̱̤̦̖̪͊͟v̬̥̩̺̙̇ͩ͛̿͢e̩̜̝͇̮̟͓ͧ̔̏̀ņ͖̫̫̖̤̯͌͂̓ͨ ͦ͗҉͔̞̟̝͚͕̝̦y̨̠̦̙̞͔̭ͥo̴̭͎̹͇͕̫͕̰̐͌ũ̷̲̠ͩ̓ ͉̭̲͓̀͒͜p̞̳̽̊ͥ̄͜e̢̥̖̻ͪ̽r̡̯̭̥̥̬ͣͩ̓m̜̦͈̭ͭͫͩͤ́ï̡̪̩̐̒s̡͙̭̩͈̘ͫs̺͈̗͂̽̇͜ĭ̷͈̻̙̫̻ͅo̶͔͚̹̫̣̪͍̳ͫ͑̔ñ̑͏̪̹̼ ̡̯̞̟̤͔̍͐ͫtͨ̇҉͈̞̥o͓̯͖͉̿̆̑͡ ̛̬̙̠̔d̟͇͖͔̈̍͐͆̀i̡̬͎ͬeͤ̑҉̱̯͍̜̲̹.” (I have not given you permission to die.) “Y̷͚̥̫͂̽o̡̪̹̽ủ̩̻̮͌͌̆̀ͅ ̘͙̩͔̘̞̻̞ͩͤ͐́k̮̟̤̲͓̠̻̿̏ͪͪ͡n̸̦̳͈̠ͮỏ̹͇̻̮̫̲ͨ͢w̫̽ͬ͊͞ͅ ̄̋̽͆͏̳̗͈̮ỷ͔͖̮̗̤ͫ͑͡o̍͏͍͕͔̲u̜̘̪̥̲̬̼͆ͯ̽ͣ͜r̞̼̩̪͖̺̖͖ͦ͡ ̲̻͇̟̐̊͜p̓̓̋҉͈̘u̟̝̝̝͍̯̩͙ͯͫ̅́̕r̸̰̳͐ͯp̑͏̹͉͖̫̲͎ở̹̳͖͉̬͉̖̒s̬͖̰̥ͨ͗̎͡ͅe̸͙̣̖̝̓͋.” (You know your purpose.) The man awoke from his slumber. A knife still deeply embedded into his face would have maggots crawling upon it as skin began to heal itself around the knife. He’d reach up in his weakened state, pulling the knife from his face and reopening the wound. Blood began to pour once again and the man looked at his mask. He dropped the knife to reach for it. He raised the mask once more to his face, creating a type of air-lock seal upon his face as the wounds pressed up against it and amalgamated into one. He did not care for the maggots feasting upon his face or rotting flesh that was left upon the floor. All he could think about was the deceiving nature of his own people. His allegiance to the spirits was unwavering. Yet he found himself at a crossroads. His only comfort was in the one that spoke to him. (( OOC Notes: I should've wrote this a couple months ago when the book was shown to me then. Yet I had little time to sit down and do any real RP. I recently got shown the book again and it had reminded me that I should add this as part of my character arc. This post is not IC Knowledge and is merely for character development. ))
  8. An orc who had been intrigued with Balian since its inception received word of the passing of the human king. Since the days of John I, he had always had admiration and respect towards these people. The only true kingdom to hear the words of the uruk while the rest sought to make them extinct. Ever since the first meetings with John I, as Dominus of the Horde under Rex Borok's first tenure, he knew he had to give his thanks to the people that saved his own. Since that meeting, many things have taken place from the passing of John I, the Siege of Cloudbreaker, and the countless attacks against all descendants by the dark creatures that loom... This orc had supported - and will continue to support the Balian people in these hard times as he has since his first meetings with them. He'd be sure to visit the kingdom soon, to pay his respects to the family of Alexander I and the citizens of Balian.
  9. I honestly dont see how your amendment would really hurt anything in the short or long term. But allowing Liches just means that many other non-compatibles would also have to be added (as valannor said when I discussed this with them, darkstalkers, wights, etc.). But what does changing this compatibility do overall for Liches that they couldnt already do without seer? Cant liches already hide themselves, receive visions, and also create cults? Im just wondering what do Liches gain from being a seer.
  10. What it seems/sounds like is that the reasoning is mainly because you think it'd be neat to incorporate it into liches. But wouldn't that apply to a majority of the other non-compatibles as well? I think there needs to be some more reasoning as to why seers couldnt become a lich and retain seer.
  11. Nope. I actually read through the entirety of this submission. Refer to my other comments for further explanations. When every spell is a combat spell aside from 1, it is a combat magic. When the spells allow you to ultimately control things such as weather and climate (quite literally area altering abilities) with no real downside to the caster and it being 1 slot all the way up to tier 5, is where I have an issue. My issue doesnt only stand with just water evocation, but, all heavily combative magics that grant extremely strong abilities at little to no cost to the user both IC and OOC while allowing you to min-max multiple (3+) tier 5 magics onto a singular character. Regardless of what is accepted now or whether this gets accepted or not, I think the slotting should change and I am voicing my opinion on that.
  12. Out of all voidal magic users, I'd give a solid 5% of them actually RP being a frail, exhausted noodle. The other 95% act as if they're the strongest descendant while wielding their magic, which is equally as big of an issue as 1 slot combat magics stacking onto 1 character are. I'd rather see characters master 2-3 magics at a max rather than them stacking 5 one slot magics that are all tier 5. As for my previous comment, those were just examples I was tossing out into the air. I am saying just be more open and creative with your ideas. If you're able to manipulate weather and climate, this means you can also manipulate the moisture in the air, quite literally. Allowing you to control evaporation and create bodies of water. It doesnt make sense why you wouldnt be able to do those things if you are putting in an ability that already controls climate. There are many magics that share similar abilities. Many magics allow users to float above the ground, many magics allow themselves to be disguised. Stepping on toes is irrelevant. You can have the same ability just performed in a different fashion with its own unique flare. By conjuring small bodies of water, I mean you can create a small pool of water to be used to gather drinking water or for something else. Theres isnt really any specific ability in the magic that does this. You need to specify abilities like this, regardless if its the "basis" or not. If there is no specific guideline or redline for an ability like that, then you realistically cant cast something like that as it'd be going against the lore and abilities of the magic. Double posting but I agree with this. Purifying waters is an excellent non-combative addition.
  13. There are many non-combative things that you could add. From conjuring small bodies of water from seemingly nothing, abilities to create fog, direct water flow to create different paths of erosion and/or new streams or water ways, cause water to evaporate from an area, etc. etc. Regardless of adding more non-combative spells, I still feel as if the magic is extremely powerful for a 1 slot magic, even if the re-write is mostly just a copy/paste from the previous lore. I'd rather see the magic change from a 1 slot all the way up to tier 5 which can quite literally control weather and cause physical damage and harm to maybe tiers 1-3 are 1 slot and tiers 4-5 are 2 slot to combat the people wishing to magic stack their singular character.
  14. I disagree heavily with a purely combative magic (aside from your 1 non-combative spell) being a 1 slot magic all the way to tier 5. Thats my biggest gripe. Quite the powerful magic for 1 slot all the way up to tier 5.
  15. Another has seen the truth. Another has been born from blood, sweat, and tribulation. Their mind was opened to the realities of the realm. He'd awake from his slumber after having the dream of their creation. Writhing in sweat and pain unimaginable to the average dweller of Almaris, he set off to let his peers know of another amongst them.
  16. Voidal magic is literally the bread and butter of the ST. There are many other magics, that the ST dislike heavily no matter how many times it is re-written to be considered fair or nerfed into oblivion only to be shot down and/or shelved entirely. ST Care more about voidal magic and druidism more than any other magic on LotC and they focus heavily on those 2 because they're the most prevalent, and that is fact. I dont know why you think the ST hate voidal magic... But for anyone to say voidal magic is tough to get... well... you clearly havent attempted looking for it or getting it. Voidal magic is handed out like candy to basically any and everyone with little to no care, which has inevitably diluted the magic to be extremely boring and mundane to the average user who encounters it because nobody actually provides story telling or story building RP with it. Early on, when voidal mages actually were somewhat rare, the server loved to see them because it meant they had a 1 up in fights or that they were extremely good roleplayers who made cool trinkets with powers that could be used. Now, I can buy 20 of the same trinket from 10 different shops in 1 city alone. Voidal magic has taken a steep downswing in quality if you ask me. Otherwise, I think voidal magic is fine. Making magic accessible is fine and I am a firm believer in giving everybody a fair chance. But getting the magic to "just have a magic" or to craft items and sell items with your enchants on them, is as lame as it gets. Build some story, create RP posts, create guilds, do something other than "magic missile" rp.
  17. Says an orc after he had finished reading his own copy of the missive.
  18. Considering there are an infinite amount of spirits and no rules or regulations on what a spirit can be for, removing or changing this 1 spirit wont do much in the grand scheme. You'll have players, new or old, wondering why this spirit doesnt exist to represent lust, pleasure or beauty and inevitably create a new spirit with the same traits. You're fighting a never ending cycle. I dont like the spirit of lust, pleasure, and beauty as it does make it sound heavily sexual in nature. I think a rewording of the spirit in question is in order. I have already done this with the Ilzpaak. But lust, pleasure, and beauty are all things that are equally not sexual as well. The definition of the spirit's appearance is what should change. Not specifically what the spirit itself stands for.
  19. Isnt it sort of metagaming to dictate in-roleplay interactions based on OOC knowledge? I dont know why a few people on this thread would oust themselves as gate-keepers like that. Makes you look like a horrible curator for what ever magic you might be gate-keeping. Why would someone have to build some random OOC trust with you before their character would be able to get a chance at magic? That is the whole point of the teacher program in the first place. Be a teacher. The teacher is to guide the player on what is right and wrong and punish based on this. You're supposed to hold their hand. If you're only going to hand the magic out to people "you trust" who are "your friends", you're the problem. People are being far too picky and unwilling to give an average player a chance just because they're average.
  20. “My brothers, sisters, and friends. It was never my goal nor want to lead you into glory or seek a new age for all of our people. I had never asked for the position of Rex. Yet, I took the position during hardship and strife for our people under one condition - If any orc challenges for the position of Rex, I will gladly step aside and allow them to lead you. This time has come. I have done my best, whilst pursuing my personal goals in life, to lead you all down the path of righteousness and glory. I have seen our people go from corrupt beings of the dark, to beacons of light ready to fight the creatures of the shadow once more. We have been threatened time and time again by other nations, yet, our knee has no longer bent to the words of worthless descendants. We only listen to the Ilzgul and will continue to enact the will of Krug in this world. I gladly step down from my position and pass the Rexdom to Ar-Borok’Akaal to once again lead the urukim into further greatness." REX, Willy of San’Velku and The Iron Horde
  21. *Missives are posted upon the entrance and exit of San'Velku* 18th of Snow's Maiden, Year 111 of the Second Age “After a lengthy discussion with the one named Uther Pendraic of the barrowlands, and the people who have similar goals and interests of that of the urukim; I, REX Willy of San'Velku and the Iron Horde, grant the honorable and brave canonists of the barrowlands freedom to travel to and from our city as they please. For as long as they reside within the barrowlands and seek similar interests, they are to be treated as friends of the Iron Horde and allowed to enter the main city of San’Velku without question.” REX, Willy of San’Velku and The Iron Horde
  22. 14th of the Amber cold, Year 110 of the Second age *Missives are posted within the city of San’Velku and upon the notice boards of the Iron Horde* “By order of the REX, the citizens of Celia’nor and all who claim allegiance to them are hereby banned from entering or stepping foot within the lands of the Iron Horde. This is a precautionary measure to protect all citizens of the Iron Horde from the destructive tendencies and dark magicks the people of Celia’nor wield and use at their disposal with little to no regard for the rest of the realm. Furthermore, it is known that they harbor many dark, magical creatures, including allowing these creatures upon their own council tables. These creatures seek to incite violence and spread hate amongst the realm and the descendants. Citizens and those who claim allegiance to Celia’nor are asked to leave the lands of the Iron Horde at once. Failure to comply can result in jail time and/or death depending on the severity of the situation. The Iron Horde holds no responsibility for the ignorance of citizens refusing to leave. This banishment is to remain in effect for 10 years. At the end of this period, if they do not appear to have improved, this banishment will go into effect once more, restarting the clock on the 10 year period. This banishment may otherwise ONLY be lifted following an arranged meeting between leaders of both nations to discuss ways to protect both citizens or by order of the REX.” REX, Willy of San’Velku and The Iron Horde
