why do we even have forced /d20ing upon killing someone as a concept tbf. I've only ever seen arguments for it from folks saying 'it inflicts consequence' which is silly because it's bad-faith consequence that the other side won't enjoy and inecentivises boring *kills instantly* rp. also lootgoblins are bad. always happy to have my mind changed but I just don't see the logic

what incentivizes poor faith, instant killing or whatever villainy rp is when players don't report it and mods not handing out villainy blacklists while actively witnessing it during modreqs. The /d20 thing isn't much of anything, relic of the past and with soulbinds being what they are nothing is gained or lost aside from respect between two parties.

it has never grooved w me that if you did all the proper rp to burn down a building or summon an elder god or whatever you wouldn't be allowed until you asked some dude who might not even be involved in the rp and might not even log on for permission
Removing the safeguard would require the team being able to determine whether something was done in good faith or not, but why have that responsibility in the first place when you can place it all entirely on players that are trusted in that specific community instead.

You guys are insane. You complain about too many realms, then vote against activity checks for nations saying it "Hurts roleplay." Make up your mind ffs

As long as new nations are teaching and guiding players to become self-sufficient roleplayers able to craft stories and not become reliant on other people to feed them rp I see it as a good thing. If not then it can only be a detriment for the playerbase at large to have so many defunct nurseries only able to coddle a niche.

Initially, I was very hesitant to read the appeal after seeing how long it was. A part of me thought that it surely had to be some sort of drawn-out joke that had the joke placed on whoever read it. However, I took the time to read the appeal and I have to say that this is the most heartfelt appeal that I've ever seen for any community in any game. I don't think there's any doubting frill's sincerity. It's been more than long enough. Unban frill.

Just had a great conversation with Telanir on how I can move forward in regard to the recent Your View. I would like to reaffirm my alignment with the mission statement, and I apologize for my poor attitude & recent sh*tposts on the forums.
Since my proposal of CRP becoming our default combat system in February 2022, it has been my goal to consistently make substantial improvements to our Roleplay Standards, and that will always be my goal.
If you have ideas or words of advice for how we can improve our quality of Roleplay, I'd love to VC with you.
