  2. Ajax Frostbeard, once again posts a song upon the door of the tavern, though not as enthusiastic to make copies for the rememberancers given its dower tones. Bones in the Tomb Oh I bid farewell to the holme that i've known and down to the planes of Oren I've flown. To search for my long ago forgotten friends To search for the land I hear all soldiers end As the spirits of dead fill the space of my mind I march without stopping 'til peace I can find I fear not the weather, for I'm dwedmari. I remember the fallen, do they think of me? When their bones in the tomb forever shall be. I drive forth through the night once again to a place where my hope died along with my friend So I swallow my grief and face life's final test To find promise of peace, and honor in rest. As the songs of my brothers fill the space of my ears Their laughter like beardlings, their beckoning cheers My heart longs for solace, but where can it be? I remember the elders, do they think of me? When their bones in the tomb forever shall be. When at last before oren wolves I do stand. I shed a small tear, only sword bore in hand. Ghosts of my brothers, who've faced struggle and strife. Their smiles beyond say I don't owe them my life. As the soul of the dead in my memory do drive The pack of wolve charge forth, set to eat me alive I'm this far from dinner, this close to see, My dear departed brothers, do they think of me? When my bones in the Tomb, forever shall be. Now that I'm staring down death's dark abyss.. I'm not sure what I want, but I know it's not this. As my comrades call out to hold Fast and strike on With a roar I drive my blade forth, 'til the darkness has gone. As the souls of the dead live for'er in my mind As I live the centuries that they left me behind I'll stay in the holme but still gaze out to see The souls of my brothers, and care for me. For our souls to the forge forever shall be. I see my brothers, and they care for me... For our souls to the forge, forever shall be.
  3. AJax softly sighs, seeing an elder of the dwed depart.. though hoping she gets some rest and recuperation. Quietly he begins work on a song dedicated to her, in hopes that such a fine melody could raise her spirits.
  4. Ajax Frostbeard, whilst on diplomatic mission to the Talon Port city, presented the Minister of Defense, Miss Athri, with gifts, as well as this song, where he also left copies for the residents to sing to their heart's content Talon's Great Port Bay In Seventeen hundred Thirty Four Arthur Sterling set onward bound To form a nation of his own Founded Talon's Grotto Town In the years gone by through sovereigns eye This hamlet grew to sta-a-aaay~ And the elves and men Came time again To Talon's great merchant bay! They Endured their way through Oren And laid dear Goldblight down to rest Through Durlak's Gentle Vigil Talon grew to a fine trade nest! With Valaker and many treaty, He chased the badits awa-a-aaay And the elves and men Came time again To Talon's great merchant bay! As time went on Valaker withdrawn He had served for many years The council had made a choice upon Severing the best of the city's peers With no dismay they did relay their pick for Aver-aaay! And the elves and men Came time again To Talon's great merchant bay! As Avery went on, he passed his crown upon to Gail Cordius who, With worldship set upon the sea with Avandi's Gallant Crew. With their anchors set We won't forget the Grotto Cita-a-aay But the elves and men Will rush again To Talon's Great Port Bay!
  5. Ajax Frostbeard, busy at work with his various writings both private and for public, sets aside time to make a song, to bolster the morale of Urguan as well as to continue on with his regular spreading of song and culture. He hopes this song at the very least will be of some joy to the legion or those who might form a militia to defend holme and clan in times of peril. Dubbing this domestic militia the 'Home Army'. The Dwedmar Volunteers Some speak of mighty Grandaxe , and some of Emberhorn Of Frostbeard and of Ireheart, clans of noble born. But with all these brave dwed families, pledge their service here! To defend their sacred mountain, is the dwedmar volunteer! When pompous men of Oren, besiege our mighty walls. This patriotic heroes, begins blasting cannon-balls. To send the human regiments, running in their fears To defend their sacred mountainholme, are the dwedmar volunteers When out our legion marches, to prepare for their crusade. Our brave remnant militia, erects a palisade. Be he centuries old veteran, or babe of thirty years! To defend their sacred mountainholme, become dwedmar volunteers Now let us fill a tankard, and drink to health of those who defended their clan and Grand hall, whilst wearing ragged clothes Make known their noble sacrifice, and noticed by their peers! They defend our sacred mountainholme! They are dwedmar Volunteers!
  6. Ajax Frostbeard in his usual stint of writing has composed a new song! Posting it quickly in the tavern hall in Urguan's mountain holme he returns to his home to make additional copies, wishing to send them out to the other nations of the world. His hopes are this song can become popular enough and be enjoyed outside the kingdom as well. The Indomitable Cavalryman I'm Haenseti, I'm Norlan Im a Holy Oren son Charging Khazadmar across the plain I'm the lancer on a dun I'm an Uruk on the run I'm a Horseman here to bring you pain. Was with Verthaik and the 7th 16-06 or was it 7? Countless Urguan footmen i did hew And the tears and tribulation Of that proud dwardmari nation Them I know because I was riding with them too And I ate rations on the run, Riding with the Uruk hun In the distant redrock steppe while in their prime Whether coalition, or sedition, in these wars' painful attrition I had burned down your village in the night And I knew the Fierce Sultan, and rode their swift arabians Harassing heavy northmen upon their heavy drafts. And yet I rode the Pereshan against the Federal Suitican And once again blood in sand was cast. (well) I'm Haenseti, I'm Norlan Im a Holy Oren son Charging Khazadmar across the plain I'm the lancer on a dun I'm an Uruk on the run I'm a Horseman here to bring you pain. Well I've worn the Talon's Crimson If you're quiet and you'll listen You'll know that It was with him that I stood When along the ports kids cried as their mounted constable died Cut down by highwaymen's cold blood. Well I's the prancing heavy lancer when I fought beside Ruskan dancers Suffrage of Haenseti's Oren Raids. And mine was not to question why Mine was but to do or die In Elvenesse, with their Charging Light Brigade On mountain high in Rocky eden Be me Urguan be me Heathen The Traitor to the hammer I will put With A Crack Flanking Maneuver I'm a Norlan mounted trooper Striking Terror into Landsknecht men on foot. (well) I'm Haenseti, I'm Norlan Im a Holy Oren son Charging Khazadmar across the plain I'm the lancer on a dun I'm an Uruk on the run I'm a Horseman here to bring you pain. Well I knew my days are numbered As all the fortresses lumber More modern innovations then again No match for arcane fire, or Dorimnur's Cannon-shot With a swift rear guard action i retreat. No Match for Pikeman's Ire, or Hefty Golems fought Reluctant, I retire and take my leave. These days I ride as special forces On those wild Druidic horses To those southerners we give our thanks And no matter which side deployed on If you want this battle won, You'll always need me to strike at their flanks. (well) I'm Haenseti, I'm Norlan I'm a Holy Oren son Charging Khazadmar across the plain I'm the lancer on a dun I'm an Uruk on the run I'm a Horseman here to bring you pain. I'm a horseman here to bring you pain. Was with the Greenskins as they pleaded To find the wells so badly needed And The Kahazad War rams charging Oren ranks Saw high elves mount struck down in a haenseti town The Night We charged the empire down As we piled them both up like cordwood planks
  7. Ajax Frostbeard, in keeping up with his usual regular songwriting and postings, had created a song for the miners. He was amused with this song to the point of humming it to himself as he walked along the halls, posting it to the Workers Guild's, Remembrancer's, and Tavern's doors. He continued to hum as he returned home. Hopeful that the dwedmar would also enjoy his little tune. The Ration Man There once was a crew that drove their picks through the hardest of stone, for ore to kick from mines below deep down a-ground Dive down me bully boys Go! Soon may the Ration Man come! To bring us torches and bread and rum One day when the minin' is done, We'll take our pay and go! Now they'd not been two days a-ground when before their eyes, a gold vein found! The Foreman called the dwed and swore We'd take that ore in tow! Soon may the Ration Man come! To bring us torches and bread and rum One day when the minin' is done, We'll take our pay and go! Before a pick had touched the ore micah gave way and a hole did bore! but the foreman's life-line had not tore he did not fall below! Soon may the Ration Man come! To bring us torches and bread and rum One day when the minin' is done, We'll take our pay and go! With no dwed lost, and ore was freed The Ol' foreman's mind was not on greed But he belonged to the miner's creed He'd take that vein in tow! Soon may the Ration Man come! To bring us torches and bread and rum One day when the minin' is done, We'll take our pay and go! For forty days or even more Minecarts came up,and back once more They hauled carts of gravel by the score As the vein crept down below Soon may the Ration Man come! To bring us torches and bread and rum One day when the minein' is done, We'll take our pay and go! As far as i've heard the crew's still on No dwed's come up, and the veins not gone! The Ration man makes his usual call to replenish the foreman crew and all! Soon may the Ration Man come! To bring us torches and bread and rum One day when the minein' is done, We'll take our pay and go-oh! Soon may the Ration Man come! To bring us torches and bread and rum One day when the minein' is done, We'll take our pay and go!
  8. Ajax Frostbeard, having heard of, and to a lesser degree seen the works of his kin in the making and use of great bombarding cannons in war's past, has written up a song regarding those who operate them. Posting it both in the tavern and in the remembrancer's hall doors. The Artillerist Dwarf song Some dwarves are born, banner raised in hand Oooh That orange and gray too, oh! And When the minstrels strike up a beat! Oooh They hand the cart reigns to you, oh! It ain't me! It ain't me-e-e! I ain't the infantry, son! no! It ain't me! It ain't me-e-e! I'm the dwarf hauling canon. Some Dwed are born, dreams of War-Rams! Lo, raised on saddles oh! And When the legion calls to make a stand Lo they charging out the hall like a tornado oh! It ain't me! It ain't me-e-e! I ain't the Cavalry, Son, no! It ain't me! It ain't me-e-e! I'm stuck loading the gun! The Glory born in Starbreaker eyes Ooh they on march out to war, Lo! And when they meet uruks out on the field ooh they only slaughter more! more! more! yeah! It ain't me! It ain't me-e-e! I ain't no war hero son, son. It ain't me! It ain't! me! I'm the dwed stuck ranging the gun, gun. It ain't me! It ain't me-e-e! I ain't the infantry, son! It ain't me! It ain't me-e-e! I'm in the support corps son...
  9. [Accidentally double posted... Going to see about getting someon to delete this..
  10. Ajax Frostbeard, not even a few hours after nailing a song upon the tavern door, nails another one right below it. Content in his dedication to honoring the clans as much as he can. Kill Fight Charge That's what a Khazad should do Top of the game, fearing their name They are the Ire-hearts In a war, one to see They are the Ur-gu-an Army Century 17 Khazadmar Intervene in '91 there were done debating There in the hillocks on a small part of land It's a battle that defines history 4 times attacked and 4 times repelled the 5th time they finally break uruk's line! Brave as they come, Ireheart on the drum And the orcs run in fear of their name! Kill Fight Charge That's what a Khazad should do Top of the game, fearing their name They are the Ire-hearts In a war, one to see They are the Ur-gu-an Army Irehearts charge ahead, their attack bringing dread Put to test in the marshy barrows Clearing the swamp lands and advance to the trees It's the end of the war that's in sight Through uruks they chew, it's a final breakthrough They're the key to controlling the battlefield Brave as they come, Ireheart on the drum And the orcs run in fear of their name Kill Fight Charge That's what a Khazad should do Top of the game, fearing their name They are the Ire-hearts In a war, one to see They are the Ur-gu-an Army In times they are needed, take heed they'll be near When a brother has fallen, this dwedmar arise To inspire the lost into glorious feats that would give them their fame that lives onto this day. When.. In times they are needed, take heed they'll be near When a brother has fallen, this Dwedmar arise To inspire the lost into glorious feats that would give them their fame that lives onto this day. Come on yeh bloody bastards! Canne Keep Yemekar waiten forever! Kill Fight Charge That's what a Khazad should do Top of the game, fearing their name They are the Ire-hearts In a war, one to see They are the Ur-gu-an And for always Brave Irehearts do roar And are always Are the Ur-gu-an Army!
  11. While i enjoy the staggering amount of work put into this project [and it's amazing don't get me wrong, absolutely love it] I do wish we could time stamp/date each event. It would make my song writing about historical occasions a bit better and help better timeline the course of events about how long certain wars take ,or timeskips between big events. Still a wonderful addition to the lore as far as i see
  12. Ajax Frostbeard quietly posts a new song, after getting a request from Micah Grandaxe to a melody she's known. The pages sit nailed to the door of the tavern, a copy submitted to the remembrancers, and a copy directly being handed to Micah. She as far as AJax sees, is the owner of the song. Mother's Grandaaxe Daughter I am my mother's Grandaxe Daughter One who runs barefoot through Mountain Holme I am my Mother's Grandaxe Daughter I bear wild hair, You will hear my unhampered voice! My Father's child is a warrior She strikes down drakes and bears upon stone For the sake of her hearth, her kingdom and clan She hunts boars and strips meat to the bone! I am my mother's Grandaxe Daughter One who runs barefoot through Mountain Holme I am my Mother's Grandaxe Daughter I bear wild hair, You will hear my unhampered voice! My Grandaxe child dances with iron She sings battle songs in the light of the moon And under the stars stakes her claim in white granite and dreams of the glory she will bring home soon. I am my mother's Grandaxe Daughter One who runs barefoot through Mountain Holme I am my Mother's Grandaxe Daughter I bear wild hair, You will hear my unhampered voice! Urguan brought us all forth out of darkness Into this world of Metal and of stone And deep in our hearts is a fire is waking So sing a thunderous song from our mountain throne We are our Mother's Grandaxe Daughters The ones whom run barefoot through mountain holme We are our mother's Grandaxe daughters We bear wild hair, You will hear our unhampered voice! We are our Mother's Grandaxe Daughters The ones whom run barefoot through mountain holme We are our mother's Grandaxe daughters We bear wild hair, You will hear our unhampered voice! We are our Mother's Grandaxe Daughters The ones whom run barefoot through mountain holme We are our mother's Grandaxe daughters We bear wild hair, You will hear our unhampered voice!
  13. Ajax from his place in Urguan applauds his fellow frostbeard in the continued expanse of our culture "keep eht up lahd! YEr doing wonderful werk!"
  14. Ajax takes to heard deeply the poetry of his clan. Glad to see he's not the only talented writer "Aye.. Wonderfa' werk lad.. Gunnae maken a golden age ah cultur in nay taime..!"
  15. Ajax Frostbeard. Still hard at work with his quill, churns out a quick lullaby like song at the request of Brog Frostbeard after hearing a melody some time a while back. Adding lyrics, and intended to be sung by a group of men, he found these fitting. [Art by Drangmir on Pinterest] A Song of The Cavalry: 'Clanfather told me' [Lyrics by :Ajax Frostbeard] [Vocals by: Brog Frostbeard] Clanfather told me Some day I would buy War-rams with good horns Bring umros to mourn Mounted upon his back, noble beast I steer Steady drive towards Oren lancing the humen Afterwards with a fair amount of Free time, AJax's sights turned to his hardworking peers in the mine, remembering having been mining without surfacing for years at a time back in the last few centuries of the first age. He took a modest amount of time churning out a shanty for the miners to sing as they return home from their work. [Art By Michal Stawowy on Pinterest] The Song of Miners End: Leave Her Kronul! Lyrics: Ajax Frostbeard Oh the work was long ,and the pit was low Leave her Kronul Leave her! But now it's time for us to go and it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh I thought I heard the foreman say Leave Her Kronul, leave her! That tomorrow you, will get yer pay And It's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh the pit was deep, and it reeked of lye Leave her Kronul, Leave her! We stripped it clean, and left her dry and it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh The foreman swears and the driver too. Leave her Kronul Leave her! The whole guilds swears, and so would you and it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh the timbers laid are like the crew Leave her Kronul Leave her! They're all worn out, and will not do and it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her I Hate to work in this facken tomb Leave her Kronul Leave her! One fell blow, will spell our doom. And it's time for us to leave her! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her Oh I pray that we shall ne'er more see Leave her Kronul Leave her! An awful hole, the likes of she! and it's time for us to leaver ! Leave Her Kronul Leave her! Leave her Kronul Leave her! Oh the vein is gone, and the wicks burn low and it's time for us to leave her
  16. This really helps my songwriting. Transitioning between common and dwarven helps btoh give me options for meter and for rhyme.
  17. Once again, like days before, Ajax Frostbeard remains busy at work. After being inspired with his return to dwedmar society, he has continued his songwriting. Eventually after another few days have passed, he posted in the tavern, as well as submitting a copy to the remembrancers his newest song; Urguan the Brave Let Elvenese boast of their shimmering waters their trees and their plains and her gentle blue skies Their sons white as doves, and soft spoken daughters, where gentleness dwells, amidst soft gentle sighs. Urguan's White mountains wild where staggerin' cliffs are piled Towering majesty calls forth tae me, Land of heads unbowed, land of the misty shroud, land of the brave and proud, Karaz akaneh. Enthroned in the depth of our great hulking fountain the Grand King of Urguan reigns fearless and free. His gray banner waving, o'er hillocks and mountain and proudly he sings, looking over the sea. Here among our Grand halls tiled, I have serenely smiled, As armies and empires against us were hurled, Strong as our native rock, we have endured the shock, of Orc lands, of Oren, of Elves, and the world! But see how proudly his War-rams are prancing, Weak human steel, trodden down by their wrath. The eyes of my sons, like their great axes glancing Triumphantly marching through ruin and death. Brave hearts and Kharadun many krazdran we have won With defiant roar, does the Gray Banner wave Khazadmar in ranks of steel Dire is the war-ram's wheel, Victorious in battlefield Urguan ok Grum Brave hearts and Kharadun many krazdran we have won With defiant roar, does the Gray Banner wave Khazadmar in ranks of steel Dire is the war-ram's wheel, Victorious in battlefield Urguan ok Grum Victorious in battlefield Urguan ok Grum
  18. I don't really have need for the skins for obvious reasons.. Though I will say the aesthetic is lovely and i appreciate your work!
  19. Ajax Frostbeard, adopted son of Verthaik II, reunited in the Grand Kingdom of Urguan sat in a small cubby, inspired with his return to live with his kin and hearing of a recent drive to bolster the Kingdom's legion, composed a song for the brave legionnaires. Taking a fair amount of time and rewriting to get the meter right, as he is not traditionally a minstrel or writer, finally completes his work in the 15th of Sun's Smile. Year 8 of the Second age, having spent approximately 3 days on it. Excitedly the Dwarf both submits a copy to the remembrancers and one he nails to the doors of the tavern. [Tavern art by mhazaru on Deviantart. I do not own this image] The Khazad Legionnaires Me name is Dwalin Irongut, I'm a native of the holme Was born in the walls of urguan, as a babe the halls I'd roam. My family fer generations, fought for nation fair. They fought for all the hills and plains like Khazad Legionnaires. Then Raise Hammer of Yemekar, his flame it doth do flare We'll fight and fall all for the holme, like Khazad Legionnaires. Then Raise Hammer of Yemekar, his flame it doth do flare We'll fight and fall all for the holme, like Khazad Legionnaires. When enemy came at our gates, them men with swords in hand, I dawned me plate and clutched me blade, set to save our land. Twas bound by oath and honor to defend what I love dear I'll stick their heads upon my pike, like a Khazad Legionnaire Then Raise Hammer of Yemekar, his flame it doth do flares We'll fight and fall all for the holme, like Khazad Legionnaires. Then Raise Hammer of Yemekar, his flame it doth do flares We'll fight and fall all for the holme, like Khazad Legionnaires. Now when muddy boots of oren had commenced to warring sail, I quickly laid down my pick, to the devil went me pale To the recruiting officer I went, I combed and cut my hair, and joined the good dwedmar boys in the Khazad Legionnaire Then fill the ranks, and march away, No humans do compare! We'll drive them all to slaughter, says the Khazad Legionnaire Then fill the ranks, and march away, No humans do compare! We'll drive them all to slaughter, says the Khazad Legionnaire When the Knife-eared prince came o'er, and made hullabaloo Oh, everybody was turned-out in silk and jewels too; But the good old Urguans boys did not give a single care Their heart is held by elected kings, like Khazad Legionnaire We Love our land of steel and stone, King Norli we do swear, You're the only king within our hearts, says the Khazad Legionnaire We Love our land of steel and stone, King Norli we do swear, You're the only king within our hearts, says the Khazad Legionnaire Now if ol' Oren in the north should ever come ashore We'll stack their bodies like timber, like many years before. Well hang em all with nooses slung below their shite chin hairs made strong as steel with mushroom silk, by Khazad Legionnaires Then Here's to Marshall Durorn, whom the legion he prepares He'll lead us onto victory, the Khazad Legionnaires Then Here's to Marshall Durorn, whom the legion he prepares He'll lead us onto victory, the Khazad Legionnaires Now fill your tankards up, me boys, a toast and drink with me May the Banner of ol Urguan, wave high and forever be May Oren QUake, and Knife ears shake, and nary ever dares; To ever foolishly bare a blade, against Khazad Legionnaires Godss Bless blood of all Dwedmar,Mountain holme you bare Narvak Oz Yol'Kazamar, Shout the Khazad Legionnaire Godss Bless blood of all Dwedmar,Mountain holme you bare Narvak Oz Yol'Kazamar, Shout the Khazad Legionnaire
  20. Ajax Frostbeard. The white Dwarf of Jornheim, had wandered in after over 2 centuries of self exile. Hearing of kin rebuilding and a new high king being claimed has come all this way to seek The king and give his blessing. Being he considered himself a rather awkward and disconnected old sod, he kept clear of the king himself. More or less offering prayers to Anbella on the side.. Bojax Frostbeard, Son of Ajax, having only heard of the coronation through letters from his father or hearsay while still away, not being apart of the kingdoms life only gives a grumble and a murmur "Lettem do wha' they do... Dunne care much fer politics.. So long as they dunne be starten shite.." Returning to his quiet life in his own mine
