She was born in Armaluna, in Asulon, along with her twin, Pelilasdir. After her brother left home, she felt abandoned, as she had always looked up to him. Once she arrived to Anthos, she found comfort in a High Elf named Cildor. She simply worked for him at first, but after multiple years in servitude, he fell for her, and she later gave birth to Tùrin. As it is strictly forbidden for a High Elf to love anyone other than a High Elf, Laina was forced to flee. She knew she wouldn’t be able to look at her son without thinking of Cildor, so, she took her baby to her brother, Pelilasdir. She had to search from the bottom of Anthos, to the top, and finally found her brother outside of Lenniel. She begged him to take the child. Pelilasdir was resistant at first, but eventually gave in.
