The issue isn't my pex, it's when I open the lists with the edit button, they either crash, or after I submit the changes, the changes revert. : /

Telekinesis. It's super simple stuff and non-combative. Usually.

      All magic. I'm serious.

But since that won't happen: all void magic, holy magic, necromancy, soul contract, soul puppetry, fi, shamanism and runesmithing.

But since that still won't happen because we hate fun: void magic, necromancy and fi.

  3. This has so much wrong in it... You're pretty much saying if its unusable in combat let them have it. Due to it only being an aesthetic value to RP. With what you're saying I could in theory create arcane beasts without the need of conjuration since they do not use it in combat, can you then do it with other magics? Lets create a fire pet without conjuration for aesthetic value. Please. Follow the lore given, to make any animal even if it's simple or for small fun aesthetic RP you need conjuration. The end. No, what I'm saying is "Arcanism has been able to make puppet animals unusable in combat since as long as I can remember. I don't see why it's an issue to let them keep it. They don't even look real, they're just glowing aura colored animals.". Arcanism has been doing this for a while. The reason evocationists cannot make fire animals is because it would require too much detail from the shaping of the element. Arcanism does not suffer this taxation, as the magic was written in its original lore to be better at creating artistic magic. This is from the guide : "-Arcane life ; Caster can physically mold their evocation to resemble life, butterflies being my most common. While the arcane butterfly doesn't live or have a mind it still acts as a puppet to the caster." ~ BrandNewKitten. What BNK has written here is nothing new, this is how the magic has worked. If you want to change it, you are going to be changing existing lore, which is fine; however, to pretend that the magic has been unable to do this in the past is foolish. There's the guide.

  5. Magic News! The magic user threads are very out of date. I will be taking today and tomorrow to bring them up to date. Please post on the magical list errors thread, as it's really, really out of date. Thanks!

  6. If you want to re-write magic lore, you're in for a hell of a ride.
  7. I don't think there would be a way to balance a magic plugin. Something would wind up being wildly more powerful then anything else in magical-mechanics, and everyone would flock to add that under their belt. Magic never needed an MC rep outside of simple stuff: let druids grow flowers where they walk, let shades darken the air around them, let paladins brighten it. You've already given two of those three things with /trail for donators.
  8. What then, do you propose? A lore re-write? No, a new player may never grasp the intricacies of soul puppetry, and trying to explain to _xSmallhand111x_ that because a creepy man managed to get a hold of his blood he is now melting because a doll of candy made in his image is rotting will likely never make sense, but what is the solution?
  9. Yeah. Magic lore is a big mumbo of taco meat. I think it's beautiful though, so meh. I never wanted a magic plugin.
  10. Tek stirred and shifted before her eyelids snapped open to allow her hardened brown gaze to stare up at the open desert sky. She drove herself to sit up, eyeing the vast expanse of mottled sand around her. Her hand slipped down and cast a fistful of the sand into the air before her, and she eyed it as it pitter pattered against the ground. Her jaw tightened, no words were spoken, and the once-witch, now wayward, let a sigh break her lips as dawn broke the horizon -- and with this rising sun, what eldritch lurkers would be illuminated by the cruel hues of purple and orange, Tek knew not.
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10QBo_fis6M The cracked sand beneath Tek’s feet was an annoyance to her. She had shed her shoes, opting to travel barefoot across the sand, even though it elicited scowls from her. The whipping winds stung her open midriff, carrying sand against her pale flesh: she had shed her shirt and overcoat as well, opting here to cover her thin bust with a wrap of leather and a shawl of light green. Her legs were clad in bagged pants of cloth; they clung to her only just, and as she walked, they rippled through the air like the swarming heat of the desert she moved across. From her mouth, words sliced through the air with tonalities of brutality and cruelty. “My family has left me.” She stopped and shook her head and splayed brown locks around her brow before offering a correction to herself. Her stride picked up in pace as she started, again, to move across the open desert. She pushed sand backwards with every step. “No. I have left them.” Tek nodded to herself as she placed methodical step after methodical step; her soles pushed into the mixture of dry, unmoving earth and slick, shifting sand. Beads of sweat danced along her brow, and where heat would have once brought her to knee and then grave, it served to drive her thin form forward with greater ambition. The woman, ebon of iris, had set her hardening gaze before her. She watched the land underneath her feet pass as she crossed the lengths of the desert. “My causes are not abandoned,” She murmured to herself with what air she had left: her march was taking a toll upon her. Her whispy form struggled to keep up with the demands she made of it. Her gaze turned upwards to the fading light of the Orcish sky; orange rays distorted into purple hues as the sun lay itself down to rest, shining beacons of fading light onto a distant and laughing moon. She stopped. She had arrived to the oasis that she had met Eath before. Tek reached downwards and pooled the azure water, dimmed low by the cackling moon, into her palm. She splashed it upon her face. “I have just chosen a newer path. One with a newer family.”

  15. Will this permit a practitioner of tempered Fi' magic to practice other magical types? The main weakness of a Fi' mage is that they are bound to that magic, unable to cast anything else, and therefore may not overpower all other mages simply by existing.
