You haven't read the lore behind alchemist's fire have you? It's unstable like that. People shouldn't have been using it defensively anyways since you never know if it'll backfire on you.

The plugins all have a very tenuous grasp on the lore, Tiliena. The "arcane affinity" buff for high elves being an example, it often trades roleplay sense for interesting gameplay.
