so with the new update from flam i had a few comments and concerns, like i’m sure most of us do, unfortunately the thread is closed for debate. these are just my points i wanted to make and ask – see if anyone else agrees with me, or if i am just an idiot. comment anything else that might directly pertain to you as i stuck to the magic section which primarily pertained to me. i’m writing this on my phone so bare with me. points of concern: the buff of combat magic and combat potential with magic. the example given was to remove magics that can one shot or take out entire crowds. this seems silly to me as i don’t know a single magic that can one shot anyone without significant emotes pilling on top of each other that can do this. blood magic is the only magic that really comes to mind when i think of this and the only spells that can one shot take at least 5 to sometimes 8 emotes to preform. druidic magic at its later tiers can be DEADLY, but you rarely see that due to the nature of the magic and its community, but magics that are dark would make sense to do that due to the various drawbacks them come from having them (not including what is explicitly written in the lore pieces of these respected magics). also, side note, what magic can take out entire crowds of people? i’ve never seen this happen. remove combat capability is silly because many players chose magic because they can’t pvp or don’t understand how sword combat works and with the disadvantages mages are put against physically in combat and also time was due to needing multiple emotes this screws a PHAT community of players. to group magics together into schools doesn’t sound too bad at first, but a better idea would be integrating a more enforced tier system. there are plenty of players who have magical aesthetics and all their magics fit a certain archetype, but there are players who enjoy being versatile. perhaps integrate a system where people can be the jack of all traits, but master of none while “rewarding” players who stick to specific schools instead of forcing them to do such.

there’s currently only 3 playable “undead creatures” being ghost, graven, and wight. i guess you could consider striga, zar’cal, and frost witches all in the same category but we all know the last is being removed. personally don’t see too many issues with this lore considering it is an ET only creature. however, i have a few questions: are these creatures susceptible to the same limits as others with blood magic? if so, what is the genus volume of these creatures? where do they come from and what is their purpose on the realm? what happens when these creatures fulfill said purpose?

Tides of the Ebrietaes Mystics, weavers of Ectoplasm, use their extensive knowledge on the Ebrietaes and what lurks within it to perform their duties to Myul’than. Through further examination into the Book of Phantoms, the living synod was able to begin harnessing new abilities within their craft. Streaming Streaming is the ability of pulling forth ectoplasm into the mortal realm to be shaped and manipulated. Appearing in an either green, blue, or grey form this ectoplasm takes on a rounded shape to the desire of the mystic and can be produced upon a solid surface of their choosing. Although unable to master exact shapes, mystics can forge these pieces of ectoplasm into tentacles-esque blunt masses that can be controlled at will. Red lines: Takes three emotes to cast. One to gleam, one to produce the ectoplasm upon a surface, and another to control it. Cannot be shaped into sharp objects or points. No fine details. May only deal concussive force or blunt trauma. The masses of ectoplasm must appear always moving and flowing, as if it were made of ghostly water. Requires to be tier three cast. At tier three they can produce one mass of ectoplasm and go up by one with each tier until tier five (three at most at tier five). The reach of the ectoplasm streams is six blocks from the block they are placed upon. The tentacles can only reach five blocks in any direction of which they are placed and are stationary in those spots. The extent of the damage is similar to a mace. Dents armor and other protective layers in the same way a mace would. Gold would cut through the masses like butter, but normal weapons would take a few extra swings – changes upon the weapon being used. Wailing The tortured souls damned to the Ebrietaes often go unheard. With the ability to Wail a mystic can tap into those voices and unleash upon the mortal realm. By calling upon these voices, and in certain cases specific cries, a mystic can throw off a target by calling upon the shrills of the damned. The voices can vary from either whispers to violent screams. Red lines: A Mystic can only call upon a certain voice if the user has specific knowledge of that voice. For example they would need to know of a person’s deceased mother to channel her. If they do not have knowledge of any deceased then they may use a random geist. Three emotes to cast. One to gleam, one to channel, and another to release. The radius is as follows: touch/one block, three blocks, and six blocks. Touch/one block would cause a deafening scream to be heard by the victim which would disorient them for a single emote. The three block radius would cause a confusion inflicting result. Six blocks would simply allow them to hear the sounds of the tortured souls and would cause a roll to see if they are thrown off. Bewitchment Geists, powerful spirits used in the art of Hexing by Mystics, are given another purpose through the art of Bewitchment. Calling forth geists and projecting the hex upon a person for a short period of time is known as Bewitchment. Must know the Hexing liturgy in order to cast Bewitchment. Bewitchment must be specifically taught, Hexing is only a prerequisite. The extent of the geists power increases with sacrifices captured immediately before hand. For example, killing two people then casting a drowngeist will intensify the effects of the hex accordingly. You cannot save sacrifices for later encounters with Bewitchment and sacrifices used during Bewitchment cannot be used for Hexing. These hexes last six emotes from the moment they make contact with their victim and can be purged through any other means that would normally purge spirits and dark magic. Three emotes to cast. One to gleam, one to charge, and another to hurl the geist. Sacrifices being added to Bewitchment geists must be killed using Saturation. Broken Clocks Within the deep south in territory most chose never to explore for fear of the Veil, a witch rested within a small log cabin. A few floors beneath the world's’ crust was a poorly lit room full of tables, each one held a nude body each pale and lifeless, and all in different phases of decomposition. One was of a young appearing witch girl, her skin still grey and her right hand trapped before her heart from rigor mortis. An arrow wound marked her forehead and the once slushy blood now dried to her skin, but upon contact Eileen found that the skin never got colder. Sighing, she’d speak; “Poor thing”. She’d move forward to another table where a nearly fully decomposed corpse laid on its back. The glacial glow from her eyes lit up his form as she’d rest a hand upon his rotten torso, above what was left of his heart. Closing her eyes a dark smog would erupt from her spectral sleeve and begin to consume the corpse within the tether, a pulsing flow into the body. The corpse began to twitch what was left of its form before its eyes shot open - Eileen, however, seemed unphased by this. Withdrawing her hand she’d reach for a dagger at her hip and lurch the blade into the left eye socket of the ghoul, reversing what she had done. “Five months after death -“ she’d speak aloud as if someone else was listening. “And he can still rise”. Moving upstairs into a corridor where a large red crystal floated in the middle of the room surrounded by glowing red runes on the floor in circular patterns around it. Her gaze locked upon the gem with a soft smirk. Her spectral hand ran across the surface of the magnificent artifact as the memory of its’ introduction into her life played through her mind. She’d move away from it and back into the main room of her cabin where a flock of ghostly crows flew about the room with no particular destination; almost as if they were trapped in that space. She’d reach for the snowflake necklace around her neck with a sigh. “I’ve got all the time in the world. Now just to figure out what to do with it”.

Honestly, I like you kid. I’m nothing but a mouth breathing crossdresser so, take my words with a grain of salt if you wish! The idea and lore behind your magic aren’t BAD. Allow me to preface my statements with that. I like the idea of a more antagonistic and EVIL dark magic and community as we currently have the Shades who prefer teatime roleplay, the witches and necromancers who prefer not logging on, and the mystics who just genuinely avoid conflict. Are ALL of these bad? No, but when it comes to the idea of DARK MAGIC you usually think of an antagonistic evil force, right? My first suggestion would be to message this guy, I’ll swallow my pride and take back my further statements. He can really help you out here. Secondly, I agree with a lot of the questions Farryn rose and I’m genuinely curious myself. Where did his realm come from and how does it appear? What exactly is Shadow and Oblivion magic along with their specific abilities? If you need help with making these two magics unique please feel free to message me. As a community deemed magic collector, I know just about all the ins and outs of most magics and their specific abilities. What is this deity’s purpose or goal? What does he stand for in terms of his actual belief system? Is he a Daemon / Anguel or some sort of beefy Shamanistic Spirit? Finally, the people who are stating you’re doing this for personal gain... I don’t know you too well, and I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt in believing that is not your intention. I’ll agree with Farryn once more. Further outline how this may be used as more of a dark deifiic magic, as I believe that was the intention, with benefits for its followers and make sure to avoid pyramid scheme ideas. Good luck!

EDITS WERE MADE! A mother or witch can now surrender during a duel for motherhood to avoid a forced perma-kill. Any death inflicted for the rest of the fight between the said witches will not enforce a PK. If a mother surrenders she will still lose the duel and no longer be able to curse and ascend into the mother slot. With help by Trinn! Thanks sis!

Joking matter aside, it's hard to get in contact with someone regarding a rewrite when they haven't been online in almost a month and don't respond to discord messages. If I'm in the wrong for writing this piece because of the large backlash the other received from its own community then, by all means, I will gladly remove mine. However, I figured something new should be submitted as the other one has only been updated to the new requests as of today and it's been a whopping 5 months. Not sure what suddenly got the changes to be put into action, but I don't care. I simply wished for the lore to remain on the server and move in a positive direction that would help us and our relationship with the community. That is my official statement on the matter, as this is a LORE SUBMISSION, not a Yotube drama channel. Her actions and words speak for her intent with the lore, that's all I'll say.
