Out of sight and out of mind. That was the mantra Jakarra repeated when he found himself thinking of the Kha he had left behind. He regretted his abandonment sometimes, but he knew it was for the better. The Kha living in Canahedo and Sutica were too docile, too tame. His presence there would only harm them, but he could not change his own ways.
But now, he realized that intervention was needed. He sat in some old crumbling ruins, flanked on either sides by his guards, as the newcomer recanted his tale. His name was Kussack, and he had most interesting news; of betrayals and scandals, and Tepah, an old Kha that the Tla used to know.
"Huntmaster, will you help me?” Jakarra snapped out of his trance, refocusing on the golden-furred Kha in front of him.
"Tepah Goldhand has greatly overstepped. By labelling himself the High Priest of Metztli and attempting a banishment, he has painted himself as a figure of authority, which cannot be allowed to happen.” He gestures to the two Kha sitting beside him; one, an old Pantera, his black fur spotted with grey, the other a young Tigrasi, hot-blooded and ready for battle.
"He calls himself a servant of Metztli, yet he bears the name Goldhand, as if he were a Dwed,” said the elder in a slow, monotonous voice “Not only this, but he has committed himself to the guilds and organizations of Humans and Elves, such as the Republic of Sutica and the Kingdom of Courland.”
Jakarra turned to the Tigrasi, who snarled as he spoke “This so-called priest is an amoral coward with a reputation for crossbreeding with other races. Such a disgusting and perverse creature brings shame to great Metztli, and to pose as a priest who does Her will is a great insult.”
The ex-Tlahtoani nodded slowly “Then we are in agreement. Send a missive to the false Priest and his followers. Such is the will of the Goddess.”
TO TEPAH GOLDHAND AND HIS PACK
I am Jakarra, Master of the Hunt, and I revile you. You are a lying, perverse, craven Apekha unbefitting of the name Kharajyr. I have no desire to interfere in the activities of other Kha, nor do I wish to force my ways upon another, but I have been given no choice.
Your despicable actions have truly proven your despicable nature as an arrogant, lying Apekha. The Council of Three have met under Metztli’s light and she has judged you guilty of the following:
Falsely claiming to be a Priest of Metztli.
Falsely claiming to be the High Priest of Metztli.
Attempting to cause division and disorder among Kharajyr by forming your own pack and settlement multiple times without approval or permission from the Tlahtoani of the time.
Participating in the affairs of apes.
Repeatedly consummating with apes.
The murder of two Dra’Metza soldiers for attempting to bring you to justice.
Multiple cases of obvious abandonment of the Kharajyr race.
Complete disregard of the Tlahtoani’s rule and past Tlahtoani.
Attempted abduction of an Aelkos’ child under Kaharal’s rule.
Bringing a Dwarven raiding party to abduct a Kharajyr child.
The consumption of alcohol.
Joining external foreign orders such as the Dwarven Legion, Courland guards and becoming a Sutican official.
For these vile, heathenous, and unjust crimes, you must pay the ultimate price. Throw yourself upon your blade and join Metztli in the Stars above and you will be forgiven and blessed, forever to hunt in the Skies with the Goddess. Fail to do so and we will march on your lands, burn your homes and massacre you and all who stand by you, and you will rot with Abyssyl in the depths of the void. Think wisely, Tepah Goldhand, and do not forsake my kindness
By the Will of the Goddess,
Jakarra Greyfur, King of the Jungles, Master of the Hunt, Foremost of the Council of Three, Blessed of Metztli
Cuauhtemoc, Voice of the Goddess, Elder of the Council of Three, graced of Metztli
Nezahualcoyotl, Revered of the Hunters, Elder of the Council of Three, Graced of Metztli
