  3. If you think this is the most toxic lotc war has gotten, you were definitely not in the thick of the duke's war. Regardless, it shouldn't be toxic but realistically it's always going to be toxic when a playerbase is torn in two.

  8. Somewhere in the Ruskan Highlands, a big man yak farmer took up his old sword and armor in preparations of heading south. His son and cousin had evidently fallen victim to Raevir brain rot. Rorislav's only cure would be to cut the infected parts out...
  9. Somewhere far away in a distant corner of the Ruska Highlands, a big man yak farmer makes a lorraine cross to add to his currently sizeable graveyard of dead friends and relatives. This time he couldn't help but shed a single tear for the little princess he once guarded in so many endeavours.
  10. Somewhere in the Highlands a big man yak farmer adds yet another cross to his ever growing graveyard filled with dead friends and relatives. "Should have made become of Yak farmer, da. Much safer career option." Spoke the Knight of Oren, soon returning to milking his bull.

    On Safety

I'm so happy that after all these years, I can always come back to the forums to find drfate rambling like some lord of the underworld.
  16. Sir Rorislav ‘The Raevir’ ~Rorislav’s cattle grazing the highlands of Ruska~ Many years, perhaps decades, had passed since Rorislav Othaman had been summoned south by his Cousin Erik. He had spent the better part of his lifetime living in a small community of strelts, deep in Ruskan back-country. This was his home where he mostly tended to the highland cattle grazing in the hills, spending weeks with no company other than his herding dogs and the cattle. During the harvesting season he would often leave his cattle to work the fields, his big and strong physique made him quite suitable for that. When Rorislav reached his thirties, an Imperial Orenian messenger arrived in the village and brought word for the large blackheaded outdoorsman. A distant cousin who he had not seen since he was but a boy, had called on him to report to the Orenian Capital to serve in the State Army under his direct command. A sense of duty and loyalty to his kin delivered him south. The city was larger than anything he had ever seen, a bright jewel on the shore or perhaps to Rorislav nothing more than a large eye-sore. During his years serving in the elite brigade that was enlisted to safeguard the palace and the Imperial family, Rorislav had many run-ins with fellow armymen and superiors. The citylife, or perhaps the Imperial life, was no fit for this Raevir cowherder. No matter how many years he stayed, he always felt like an outsider. After serving nigh on two decades as Imperial Bodyguard, he was knighted by Emperor Philip II, after an order issued by Emperor John VIII on his deathbed. Rorislav was now dubbed Sir Rorislav ‘The Zealot’. Honored as he was by the new title and recognition of his loyalty, it too emphasized how much of an outsider he truly was. Fate would have it that Rorislav was dumb as a post, illiterate and had not been inside a church for as long as he could remember. The fact that he was named ‘The Zealot’ displayed how little the Orenians knew of him and how little he fit in with this culture and collective of people. Not two years after being knighted, Rorislav silently departed from the Bastion in the dead of night. His shining armor and weapons left behind at his bunk. He would have no need for it as his destination was home, his real home. At last it had become clear: You can take the Raevir out of Ruska, but you can’t take the Ruska out of the Raevir. Any man of the State Army coming across Rorislav’s equipment may find a note, obviously not penned by Rorislav’s own hand, for them to read: “There is no place for an hombre like I am, in this new world of asphalt and steel.”
  17. 'The Animal' turned over in his grave as the posers disrespected the legacy of Adria by allying with Savoyards. Whoever these kids were, they must not have been paying attention in history class.
  18. A specific tune could be heard in the distance as Corporal Rorislav Othaman joined his brothers in fighting someone else's civil war.
  19. Rorislav sets giant mousetraps under all of the posters he finds. Unfortunately the Kha weren't doing their jobs..

  22. The Summons of Eastwood ~The search for former Rangers of Southbridge~ Many years had passed since Southbridge had last seen it’s walls inhabited by rangerfolk… With the disappearance of the Captain, many rangers abandoned their posts leaving those few loyal men led by their deputies Lady Tatyana and Johan Vuiller behind in search of a better life. For some years, those that stayed behind did what they could to keep the imperial roads and wildlands safe. Eventually Lady Tatyana came to perish during the war and age started catching up with Johan which had the last of the rangers dismissed and Southbridge deserted. A long time passed during which Southbridge was merely a landmark that travellers passed through. A monument of a brotherhood long forgotten. ~The last of the rangers leaving Southbridge in the dead of night.~ Soon after the exodus of Southbridge, the eldest son of Captain Nikolas and the late Lady Tatyana started a search for his father who had disappeared without a trace. The young Rupert Sigmar had heard rumour of a man fitting his fathers’ bulbous description being spotted in the northern Orenian borderlands near Haense. The thought was worrisome as his father had many enemies in Haense as he was exiled and disowned royalty. The thought that their kin had captured or killed his dear father had crossed his mind many times and so Rupert set out with the intention of finding his lost father. For years, the young princeling searched near every mile of the land, not once finding a trace but also unable to give up on his beloved father. ~The exile prince searching the borderlands near providence.~ As the chances of success grew smaller and smaller, Rupert finally decided to return home. To Southbridge, which was his only home, even in the state it was in. It was in the empty settlement that Rupert decided to follow in his fathers’ footsteps and step up to the position of Captain of Southbridge and thus the Rangers of Eastwood. He decided now was the time to reform the brotherhood and pick up where his father left off. He chose to take up residence in the local abbey, as Southbridge was no place to live anymore. From there he sent crows to every corner of the world in search of their former ranger masters, to deliver his summons: “To all those who once called themselves Ranger of Eastwood. You are hereby summoned to the Abbey of Saint Robert.” The letters would be sealed with the official seal of Captain Nikolas of Southbridge. ~The Abbey of Saint Robert.~ OOC INFO: Reach out to ForsakenTwin#1220 on discord if interested! The letters can be found by anyone. Using any of the other information mentioned in this post is considered metagaming.
  23. Rorislav was informed of this challenge by one of his nephews, as he himself was illiterate. He soon changed out of his Imperial uniform and started travelling North to face the angry Baruch. "Da, I will make break of little pednik whale hunter in two! Show them how real Raev fight." Was his only reply before departing for the place he had called home for many years prior to his exiled Cousin called him South to serve. He did not consult anyone aside from his nephew who was there on the spot, so it was unlikely that anyone would stop him from attending.
