After this, you should adress the OOC driven playstyle 99% of players have and the consequences it has for fair and fun CRP. I've yet to see a CRP fight that is held between two players who are not friends or aligned with the same nation that comes without an hour of LOOC bickering and heavy moderation. Our CRP System needs to be changed and emote outcomes need to be more black and white. I've found people unwilling to concede defeat in CRP just because of their OOC investment in their character and their unwillingness to lose. Either people need to change the way they play, and RP for the sake of telling a story rather than RP for the sake of making their character better, or rules need to be implemented to make CRP more black and white with less need for moderation intervention. (Also this is unrelated to OOC involvement in RP, but while I'm nagging: nerf overpowered races and playable creatures or make the requirement to play them more strict. The amount of times I've encountered CRP with undefeatable ungodly strong creatures in the last month is actually mad. It's like everyone and their dog can play a giant monster with no weakness and a gazillion buffs these days.)

For this recollection we shall only put our focus on the last two landed lords of the House after whom it was declared extinct. COUNT ERIK OTHAMAN OF VALLES Count of Valles, Major of the Imperial State Army under the Holy Orenian Empire. Erik Othaman, being a Count, was the last greater lord of the House Othaman and one of the primary military leaders within the Holy Orenian Empire in its later stages. Erik originally came into the Holy Orenian Empire while serving Duke Nikolas of Alban, an exiled and disowned Barbanov prince. Erik soon entered into military service and rose swiftly through the ranks. At the end of his life he would stand to lead the Foreigners’ Legion in the name of the Imperialists, Erik perished when the Empire itself fell during the Brothers’ War. With the destruction of the Empire, so too was the County of Valles destroyed. BARON VLADIMIR OTHAMAN OF BRUCCA Baron of Brucca under the Kingdom of Balian Vladimir Othaman, last known descendant of Count Erik Othaman’s line, was with the Imperialists during the Brothers’ War. When the war ended and the Empire fell, those who fought against the Royalists fled into exile and would found the Duchy of Balian which later grew to be a Kingdom. During the first stages of the founding, House Othaman was granted the baronial title of Brucca, held by the young Vladimir Othaman. The House only briefly enjoyed this status, as Vladimir was slain atop a volcano in combat with an Azdrazi. Baron Vladimir had sired no legitimate children and thus the baronial title was revoked and the House was declared extinct in Balian. ——————————————————————————————————— ON THE SURVIVAL In order to legitimise the claim of the return of House Othaman, we must delve deeper into the lineage and histories of the family. For beside the famed Tarcell Othaman, Duke of Valles and Lord-Marshal of the Brotherhood of the Golden Crow, there were two brothers. One of which only so many generations later becoming vital to the survival of the House. In this section we shall describe the brother and his last known descendant. WILLEM OTHAMAN Deserter of the Brotherhood of the Golden Crow Willem Othaman was the youngest son of Duke Jon Othaman. He held no titles, won no renown and lived not in the annals of history. Once a soldier in the employment of the Duchy of Hanseti-Ruska, serving under his elder brother Lord-Marshal Tarcell Othaman, later a deserter and suspected highwayman. His career in service of House Barbanov was brief and after his desertion he was not heard of again nor was he pursued any further. In contrast to speculations, Willem did not turn highway robber but rather settled down with a Ruskan woman and started a life as a Yak farmer in the remote highlands of Athera. Through his line continued the House Othaman and although they were not recognized nobility, they still kept their surname. SER RORISLAV ‘THE ZEALOT’ OTHAMAN Knight and Imperial Bodyguard under the Holy Orenian Empire Rorislav Othaman, descendant of Willem Othaman, spent the majority of his life as a Yak herder in the Highlands of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. This did not change until his distant cousin Count Erik summoned him to the Imperial Capital of Oren to be enlisted into the Emperor’s own bodyguard. He was a man of large stature and mightily strong with that. He would serve a decade under Emperor John VIII before being Knighted and dubbed ‘The Zealot’. After his ascension to knighthood, he briefly served as a devoted sworn shield to the daughter of Emperor Philip II. His service to the Empire ended with desertion similar to that of his ancestor. The urban Imperial life had rejected him and he returned to his roots as a Yak Herder in the Ruskan Highlands, never to be heard of again. It is through his line that the House Othaman evaded extinction. ——————————————————————————————————— ON THE REVIVAL Having attempted to legitimise the return of the House Othaman, our documentation shall turn to the new self-declared patriarch of the family and state his cause. So that it may be known that this ancient Haenser House shall attempt to make a return to their lost glory. In days past, the names Barbanov and Othaman were inseparable. Beside every Barbanov ruler stood an Othaman hound to shield his back and do his bidding. May that bond be forever restored and the Othamanic Oath be renewed. KARL OTHAMAN Current Patriarch of House Othaman Karl Othaman, direct descendant of Ser Rorislav ‘The Zealot’, is a fierce youngster who has recently sworn his sword to the House Barbanov. Intent on repatriating his House and rebuilding the bond once shared between Othaman and Barbanov. The world stands to tremble as the dog returns to his masters' side.

Honestly used to hate you guys, but having played with some of your boys both on server and outside of it, I've been healed from that. I still think some of the guys are just plain cyber bullies though. Not all of them by a mile, but some of the guys just go out to annoy people and try to get some sweet pvp. I gotta admit I've been part of that in the past aswell, but I like to think I never structurally targeted groups which made it less bully-ish.

I would suggest something along the lines of allowing new people to join in after a certain amount of emotes are passed. IE. After every 20 (or more) emotes you get a reinforcement chance. Or maybe just 1 single reinforcement opportunity after a certain amount of emotes so the battles don't drag on eternally. OR decide to extend the lockdown by another so many minutes IF the bell of the settlement is rang. So keeping it outside of settlements and extending it on a bell ring.
