  1. As someone who prioritizes crp over PvP, I can just say easily that this is blatantly false. Most of the people I meet who argue that crp never works are the same people who can’t handle losing or are just bad at combat rp
  2. “Special raids locked to text-combat for two willing nations” “special raids” “special” special =/= all no offense. Read next time. If both sides agree, who cares
  3. I’m literally 100% certain he means warclaims that are based on authentic roleplay, not warclaims done 100% through roleplay... You have to be pretty ******* dumb or just looking for a reason to ***** if you actually think staff would push for a massive roleplay battle. And if a massive roleplay battle is what he meant, then he’s a ******* retard. I’m almost certain the war aspect is one of the better lotc features people enjoy. Why else would the server be most active when a war is going on

  7. Lol what I’m almost certain I made it clear that I was referring to LT shitting on stuff and making fun of it. That’s not a criticism. That’s not constructive. As an example, this is exactly what the necro lore writers have been doing. They’ve been trying to figure out what’s wrong to change the initial disapproval. However, that is all null and void if the major disapproval stems from someone’s biased opinion that the magic just shouldn’t be on the server. You can change literally everything about the lore, and it wouldn’t matter because they have an opinion. In Dingo’s case, regarding the quote you have in your signature, Dingo saw a lore. He read the title. He immediately posted a meme in the comments to make fun of it. He didn’t read the lore. He didn’t even have an opinion on the mechanics of the magic because he only looked at the title. (I say this because he nearly immediately responded to it after it was posted. No way he had time to read that monster of a post. Also, not shitting on dingo at the moment, literally just explaining what I mean.) He had nothing constructive to add at that point in time. He just poked fun and laughed, and that’s just unprofessional and degrading to the lore writer. That is the kind of stuff I’m referring to. I never said anything about genuine, constructive criticism, like you so wish to forcefully think and accuse me of. Like, seriously. Refer to this. I explained in detail exactly what I meant. “immediately **** on it without giving it a second glance” obviously infers that they didn’t actually read the lore. If they didn’t read the lore, they can’t have any constructive criticism to give, outside of obviously extreme cases. At this point I’m beginning to think you really didn’t read anything I said from my original argument, or that you’re just trolling.
  8. If you read my critique at all, you would know that I specifically said that if the lore doesn’t work, then it should get gacked. I literally said that. My entire argument revolves around a biased first glance opinion. If you look at a lore’s title, see it’s affiliated with a lorepiece that you just don’t personally agree with, and then you **** on it, you’re an ******* and you aren’t helping anyone. I am all for genuine criticism. People should be constructively criticized. Never said that that was a bad thing. If I read your lore and I immediately find something that isn’t going to work, I’m going to tell you. I have no idea where you’re getting anything you’ve just spouted. Using big words to sound smart is retarded if you’re going to make it obvious that you don’t know how to read.
  9. Forums deleted my progress, rip. Starting over. See, I can understand that, but the bottom line is that you’re staff. No one is going to see your comment as a player made comment. They’re going to see your staff tag, and they’re going to view it as a staff comment. The first thing they’re going to think is “oh ****, a story manager doesn’t like my lore. I’m fucked, my lore is fucked.” Or, alternatively, “oh **** it’s that one *******, **** him.” It’s just unprofessional and demoralizing after working so long on something you think is good. Yeah it was pretty funny looking back at it now, but at the time it just really pissed me off. I don’t really have anything personal against you, I just think you act in ways I personally disagree with from a professional standpoint. I doubt you even care, but just thought I may as well throw that out into the air. P.S. eat **** and die, @Abyssus
  10. Hello, I’ve only had a couple hours of sleep in the past two days so I’m not going to bother reading through the comments, so I really do apologize if my points have been made by someone else. I also apologize if I’m not 100% clear regarding my issues. If something doesn’t make sense I’ll try my best to explain further and or edit my post after I go to bed when I get off work. My biggest thing against LT at the moment is how they seemingly act towards lore writers. I have a fair amount of respect for Lotc staff, even though I write really dumb shitposts about them that have probably made me seem like a retarded ass screecher by now. But I understand that none of y’all get paid and you’re all doing this in your free time, and as a former Forum Manager on a different server, I understand how tough that can be. I don’t care if it takes months to review a lore, as inconvenient as it is for everyone involved. I don’t care if a lore I’m partial towards gets denied because it just doesn’t work, and I don’t care if **** gets shelved because people abused its mechanics too badly. You all are trying to make sure fun, enticing lore is active on the server, and you have to weed out the **** that doesn’t work. That’s understandable, I get it. What I absolutely hate is when someone spends months on a rewrite, with little to no help from anyone else, just for someone high up on the lore team to immediately **** on it without giving it a second glance. Whether it’s because they either don’t personally agree with the lore, they assume it’s not going to fit the server, or if it’s just plain cringy, I don’t know. I just know that it’s just absolutely disrespectful and degrading to the lore writer. Make fun of it in private chats if you have to, but to just metaphorically spit on their face immediately after submission because it doesn’t align with your personal opinions? That’s just fucked up. Lore writers are just as much volunteers as anyone on the lore team is. They aren’t paid to write lore. They aren’t professionals, and I’m certain most lore writers are just your average teenagers who have an idea on how to improve the server and make it a little more fun for the playerbase. Worst case scenario, they’re power grabby and want an op magic tucked in their belt. However, I truly believe that these are few and far between, and that most lore writers are genuinely just trying to improve the server. I am 100% certain that everyone knows which LT Staff Member I’m specifically talking about with the above points, and I would totally name drop if I didn’t think it would get my post removed. Just know that when you read this, this is why I called you a screaming ****** who needs to chill the **** out, as seen in that quote from the necromancy chat that that one dude leaked. (It wasn’t bias, I don’t even want necromancy for any of my characters. It was just the tipping point after seeing so many other comments made by you, and I probably went a little overboard. If you want to hit me up on discord to yell at me or talk or whatever you want, my tag is on my profile. If not, it’s whatever. I don’t really mind either way.) Another issue I have with the Lore Team is the fact that they’re seemingly scared to bring issues up to lore holders when they find a possible issue with a magic. I’ve been told by an LT Member that this is because they have to deal with people bitching about their magic getting picked on, and I can understand how one could dread having to interact with that. I’m a security guard at my tribe’s casino, so I have to deal with that kind of horse **** every time I have to tell someone to stop breaking one of our house rules, god save my ears if I have to kick them out or ban them... However, if someone wants to scream and moan about their lore “getting picked on”, just accept it and shelve it if you absolutely have to. You can at least say you tried to talk to the lore holder about it, but they didn’t want to cooperate. When you decide to just assume that “magic loophole 1” was left in there on purpose, so you don’t even bother bringing it up, that really fucks the people up who didn’t even mean to put the loophole in there. Maybe it was just a simple typo, or it was something they forgot to remove. Even if those are just shitty excuses, who gives a **** as long as they remove it without hassle? Communication is beyond important, and I think it’s something a lot of the lore team lacks. My final thing. @FlamboyantTyrant Holy **** my dude for the love of god if you say you’re going to edit a comment with why a lore was denied, at a later date, ******* DO IT. I doubt it’s the hardest **** in the world. You set a date for it, you say you’ll do it, and it’s just unprofessional as **** to just leave people hanging like that. If I was a lore writer, I would 100% rather you comment “haha **** you, your lore got denied because you’re an idiot” than “Posted April 20 This Lore has been denied. The reasoning will be edited into this comment within the next handful of hours. Topic moved to Denied Lore forum.” with absolutely no other feedback. Like come on. Come on man. I’ve yelled at you in our friend discord about it, and I’ll put you on blast about it here. Pls stop doing this, or just get someone else to do it for you. It just looks bad and hurts your rep even more. I love you lots, xoxo, I think you do a pretty great job everywhere else. Except for setting dates, but I’d be a hypocrite if I yelled at you for that. Hmu up on discord sometime bb. I apologize for the rant, but it’s been something that I’ve been wanting to say for a while, and I didn’t think a meme post would be appropriate for it. I think Delmo did a really good thing here by making this post, and I hope hope hope that at least some of these comments are read and listened to. I want to see the best for my mineman server, and it’s just shitty to admins, staff, and players alike with all this fighting and bickering. I hope I made my points clear as possible. I also apologize for the shitty paragraph structure, but I was just trying to make this post as easy to read as possible.
  11. Hot take: Morghuuls were great when people knew how to rp them right, but then they got flooded with PvP degenerates and splice of lifers who ruined them
  12. Imagine giving out someone’s social media information without their permission and getting surprised that you’re getting in trouble for it. ESPECIALLY when you gave that information to someone who’s literally banned from the server for doing malicious ****

  13. A Mali’ame donned in a red suit of armor walks up the steps of a large estate with a beaten and crying child in his arms. The wails of a woman trapped in the middle of begging for death and pleading for her life emanates from behind him. The woman is a large brute. She has a missing eye, heavy scars along her face from old battles long forgotten, and long, white hair dangling down her face, matted with freshly spilled blood. Her blood. Repeatedly, she slams her head down onto the base of the estate’s stairs, forcing more of her blood to spill forth out of her skull. She cries out to the remaining trio standing before her, “Please, kill me!” and yet she immediately snaps back, almost replying to herself, “NO. I don’t want to die!” She continues to fight with herself, screaming inconsistent ramblings into the air as if more than one mind occupied her head. She watches as the Mali’ame turns his back on her, and she screams at him. “I-I l-love y-“ and still, she fights with herself, “I HATE YOU!” The ‘ame pays no heed to her cries, worried about nothing else other than his beaten son. No older than five years of age, he suffers from a black eye, heavy, numerous bruises along his body, and a cracked humerus. Vas holds onto the child gently, yet protectively. He stares blankly ahead as he walks in to the Manor, then looks back to see the the three figures surrounding Solaria Soulheart advance on her. A blindfolded woman holds onto Sol, hugging her. A horned man conjures a thin, smokey, ebon black tendril from his spine, boasting a sharp, pointed tip. ”Keeping her like this isn’t right. Move.” The blindfolded woman protests, shaking her head. ”So what, you plan to just ******* kill her? How much have you really tried?” And with that, Vas closes the door behind him, unable to walk any further. He continues to hold onto the child gently as he presses his back against the door, then slides down it. “Hush, hush, Omeii. It will be alright. Everything will be okay. Haelun didn’t mean to hurt you. She’s just very, very sick.” Vas did try. He tried hard to help Solaria as best he could. He consoled her during her episodes, loved her when no one else would. He made sure that she was loved and appreciated, and she did the exact same for him. They weren’t lovers, no, but they were very close friends, and he was her only friend. There he sits, cradling their child. He leans his head back against the door, continuing to stare blankly ahead as the voice comes to him. “You should be the one to do it. Put her out of her misery. None of them care for her. All they do is shout insults at her, make fun of her. You’re the one she trusts. You’re the one she came to. Yet you turned your back on her, just like the filthy coward you are.” The voice is not given a response. Vas’ eyes simply begin to water as the sounds of a struggle become apparent from the other side of the door. Iarion, the child, winces from the noise, but Vas can’t even force himself to get up. He just listens. He listens to the ravings of a mad woman pleading for death. He listens to the begging of a blindfolded woman pleading for her mercy. He listens as orders are croaked out sadly, and he listens to the sound of a sword being drawn from its hilt. A horrific screaming fills the air, no longer filled with rage, no. Nothing but pure misery emanated from Solaria’s wailing. The child in Vas’ arms shakes his head against his father’s chest, whimpering and flinching at every new sound made. “I know. I know, little one. I know. Maln is right here. Your father is right here.” Vas releases a brief sniffle, trying desperately to force himself to maintain his composure as best he can. “Haelun is going to a far better place. I promise. She won’t hurt anymore, she won’t cry anymore. She’ll never be able to hurt you ever again. I promise.” The sounds of the mad woman screaming cease, now replaced with a morbid, guttural gurgling akin to one choking on their own blood. It carries on for several seconds, then, with the sound of a blade cutting through the air, everything is silent. “She’s in a better place, malii’mal. This is what she wanted. And now, she can be happy.” “Filthy. Filthy. Coward.” The sounds of stabbing continues, and Vas snaps out of his paralysis. He finally climbs to his feet, then moves onward, unable to take anymore of the awful noise. He descends the manor’s stairs, returning to his room as the sounds fade out of existence. Iarion clinging to him desperately, tears staining both of their eyes, Vas releases a shaky, worn out breath. ”I love you too, Solaria. You were the most loyal friend I’ve ever had. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you more. I’m sorry I couldn’t fix you. I really, really am.” OOC Note

  16. https://youtu.be/8TfeCAJEZeA An exhausted Mali’ame stares down at a freshly dug grave that has been adorned with flowers, trinkets, and other odds and ends over the past few elven hours. A kettle in his right hand, a glass in the other, he drinks his tea and just stares. His mask lays on the ground beside him. This wasn’t the first time he had visited the gravesite. No, the first time he visited, he had been with the dead man’s lover and father. They mourned for him. They cried and they wept. He had as well, but the mask kept his emotions hidden from all but the ancestors above. And now it sits on the ground, leaving his red, irritated, and dry eyes exposed for all to see. Thankfully, he had come alone. That was when he knew Daichia Jusmia the best: when they were alone together, sipping tea and talking about the goings on in their lives. The two used to do that quite a lot in the past. When the curse was first laid upon himself, Daichia was the first person the ‘ame came to about it. They had always been neighbors. He would wander over towards the Mali’ker’s house, knock on the door three times, and every night, consistently and without hesitation, Daichia would be there for him. He’d give the ‘ame tea, two ears to rant towards, and the security of knowing that he wasn’t alone that night. This changed. “You grew too busy to care about him.” “He was your friend, but you treated him like a stranger.” “You drove him away, ignored his cries for help, and you led to his murder.” “You fucked it up. Like you **** everything up.” The whispering started quietly within the ‘ame’s mind, but they grew louder and fiercer the longer he stared at the grave. “He came to you. Cried to you. Just like you did for him. And how did you repay him? With a cup of tea?” “No.” “With two ears for him to rant towards?” “No.” “Did you offer him the security and comfort he always provided you?” “No.” “No. You did not. You pat him on the shoulder; you told him everything was going to be alright. And then you left him to his wailing. And now he is dead. And you are partly to blame.” The mali’ame continues to stare at the grave, listening to the voice’s ramblings as he is always forced to do. Of course he wouldn’t be free from them during his time of mourning. The parasite never liked Daichia to begin with. “It’s been a while since we shared a cup of tea, old friend. This one’s on me.” Vas stretches his arm out, holding the kettle above the grave. He dips the handle, and a slow, steady stream of tea flows out of the spout. There was no steam escaping the brew as it hit the ground, and it causes him to wonder how long he had been standing there. It was piping hot when he had left his Clan Hall, and it’s not even fifty paces away from the gravesite. With that final thought, the ‘ame sighs, finishes his tea, and kneels down to the grave. “I’m sorry, old friend. I failed you.” He gets up, picks up his mask, and affixes it to his face, pulling his hood up around it afterwards. No one would see him cry this day. No one other than Daichia. Just like always.

I’m not entirely sure why you’re trying to prove this to me either. I’ve got no real investment in this whole ordeal and it’d probably be better solved via PMs on the forums or something.
