  2. Written by TheAlphaMoist for the Pantheon Project ™ Origin/Backstory After Iblees’ death, his successor and its patron, Arun’Asna, took a man, his name long forgotten to time, and elevated him in power to that of a Patron. Arun’Asna elevated his already present magical capabilities, and Iblees’ successor gave him a proper place within their realm. The man became Jinun, the Dark Fiend of Madness and Corruption. Personality Jinun exists as a coin with two sides, so to speak. The first side is seen in his deity’s realm, and it is a careless being of madness who acts on the spot and is entirely unpredictable. The second side is seen when he manifests his avatar on the mortal plane. He becomes a monstrous entity with a ravenous appetite for cruelty. His favorite pastime in this form consists of torturing descendants with his horrific creations, which stalk his prey until they go mad with fear and paranoia. Should they choose not to play his games, he could either be quick to dispatch of them in any way he sees fit, or he could continue pressing on until they break. In this form, the only mercy he gives are to those who give in to the madness he inflicts, which he then warps into becoming his own worshipers, thus inherently growing his deity’s own following. Goals Jinun exists to broaden his deity’s wrathful nature against those who oppose her. He does this in two ways: the first by breaking down individual descendants at a psychological level, taking joy in particularly targeting those with stronger wills and mental fortitudes who otherwise would remain unswayed by the normal trials of life. Secondly, he corrupts environments and twists the mortal realm to his liking, with disastrous effects for those who once occupied these ecosystems. Abilities Similar to Arun’Asna, Jinun is capable of manifesting himself on the mortal plane via apparition, voice, or both. He can only do this, however, to descendants who have been gifted with his Mark, which is represented by two stars conjoined together, with the same symbol placed upside down within the larger stars. Similarly, he can see through the eyes of individuals he has marked, and can also cause his followers to see through the eyes of other followers, however only briefly. At the current moment, those who choose to worship him are only affected in those ways. This may be changed with advances within the Pantheon Project ™ When manifesting via voice, he sounds akin to a manic, overly excited individual with a high pitched voice. His sentences often run together, and he commonly interrupts himself with laughter, even if nothing comical has been said or done. Jinun is capable of using a substance known as Jinun’s Tar to create lifeforms and items. Along with this, this Tar is capable of corrupting environments. Within these environments, lesser creatures are driven mad and violent, and they can grow abnormal protrusions similar to tumors that alter their appearance. These creatures also possess a form of plague which spreads their affliction to healthy creatures. In either of the two forms, Jinun possesses a unique ability to sense one’s mental state. Favoring those whose minds have already been plagued by mental illness, they are more often than not the subtle few he chooses to ignore all together, or outright offers the choice to join his following. That does not mean they are immune to his wrath, however, as he is just as likely to label a sane individual as prey as he is an insane individual who has, even slightly, disappointed him. Current Location To be discovered. Purpose (OOC) You’ll find out. Citations Classified.
  3. Fallout 76 had a better launch than the Athera eventline

Athera is off to a better, more stable start than “Lore-Games”. I’d say it’s pretty damn good,  actually! Keep going, ET!

  4. Pretty sure we were just going to shelve them if no one was going to rewrite them Literally weren’t going to retcon anything either. Nothing would have been voided or anything of the sort. Pretty poor arguments as well. From what I’ve read, Boroto’s lore contains a far different vibe than Striga. Just because someone wrote a “werewolf” themed lorepiece doesn’t mean they can’t have an opinion based on supernatural magic vampires. Striga are definitely past their time. They’ve even had their ending event, so I was told. Even then, something new can always pop up. You can have vampires without Striga. You can still roleplay the niche. Just make something new and better and not OP

  9. “I will never give in to the Darkness like you have.” “I won’t let fear control me. I won’t!” “WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!” The words of the ‘Aheral woman echoed through the Exalted’s mind as he sat on the cold, stone floor within the pitch black cavern that was his room. Eyes shut loosely, his breathing calm, his skin exposed to the cold, stagnant air within the cave, he couldn’t keep her words from leaving his mind. They weren’t new. They were rather familiar. The voice was different, as was the person wielding it, but the words were the same, and they held the same meaning. “I’ll not let these vile magics plague my mind any longer.” “I don’t want to go down this path. This isn’t mine, Vas, it’s yours!” “WHAT THE HELL AM I TO YOU, JUST SOME KIND OF PAWN?!” The being hummed to himself, as if having an epiphany. “Cyrene…” He spoke lowly, deep in thought as he whispered. Cyrene. His greatest failure. For a time, his biggest weakness. “No... This one will be different. She will be what you failed to be. She will be everything I wanted, and she will please The Mother more than you ever could, Cyrene.” He spat her name out, as if it held a revolting taste against his tongue. He scowled, and the four tendrils present against his back curled inwards, shaking with emotion. He released a slow breath of air, and his ebon appendages slowly relaxed. “No.. No. It was my fault. I see, Mother, I see. I tried to control her. I caused her to stray from her path. It was I who failed.” He relaxed further, focusing in on the churning chaotic energy spiraling within himself. He focused on the malefic presence, and the Dark Prophet grew calm against the turbulence. “This one will rise to greatness. She will be my prodigy, and I will not fail you again, Arun’Asna.” He opened his eyes, his glowing irises shining within the darkness. “Her destiny will not escape her. Not like it escaped you, Cyrene.”

There’s really no reason to abolish it. Just makes it easier for us to keep track of things

    3. monkeypoacher

      monkeypoacher

I mean abolish MAs in general, where the reason to abolish it would be encouraging creativity and democratizing magic, rather than locking an entire area of roleplay in powerful ooc cliques. Read: Making the server more fun. The downside would be it becomes somewhat harder to track magic users, but you still write the guidelines and hold the power to punish bad actors as they’re reported to you

  14. In the dark underbelly of Gehenna, a horrifyingly anxious feeling begins to fill its halls as a figure slowly climbs down the Manor’s staircase. Lifts are heard creaking and groaning as he descends lower and lower, and as he steps off of the platform, a cascade of whispers begin to emanate out of his helmet. Eldritch in nature, each one contrasting in tone and pitch, they all speak in unison as the being shambles onwards through the estate. “Oh Mother, oh Mother, what am I to do?” the voices say. He climbs a set of stairs, paying no attention to the multiple rooms at his side, each one occupying a sleeping resident. “You’ve granted me your boons, alleviated my curse. You have risen me above the rest, and still, it is not enough.” He reaches the end of a hall, and he caresses the handle of the steel door with one of his many shadowy black talons. “Mother of the Night, Queen of Nightmares, I need more.” He grinds the sharpened tip of his index finger against the door, leaving behind a single laceration against its metal surface. “Your Children need more.” The voices began to sound scornful as any inky tendril slithered against the creature’s back, the viscous extremity wrapping around the door, opening it after a moment’s pause. As he wandered into the room, the dull glow of redstone was all he had to greet him. “With each passing year, we are under fret from someone new. With each passing decade, we are under fret of losing more of your Children. You have tasked me with shepherding your Cabal, you have given me the power to fabricate more beings like me, but how can I do such when I need more power?” He stepped through a series of doors, entering a bedroom. He stopped by a desk, and he knelt down to look into a mirror. A tenebrous being stared back at him, its haunting gaze hidden behind a helmet made of foul wisps and smog. “With all your power, this is all you’ve given me? I cannot lead with this.” He began tapping a curved claw against the desk’s surface, stabbing into the wood easily with every movement. “Tell me what I must do. Fill my mind with your chaotic voice again. The Children need more, the Fathers need more, The Foretaker needs more. We all need more. Give me instructions, and I will do what needs to be done for us to be granted what we need.” He stood upwards, moving across a line of bookshelves to rest his sights against a bed. A Mali’fenn woman slept within its blankets, beginning to stir as the chaotic aura surrounding the Exalted began to leave its mark on her. “Oh Dread Mother, I will kill for you. I will torture for you. I will create orphans and I will burn the orphanage for you. I will sing maddening hymns in your name while I do it all. Give me a simple murmur, a single sign, and it will be done.” The creature eyed the woman resting within the bed for several moments, his tendrils licking hungrily in the air. Thoughts of ripping her apart and painting the room with her entrails filled his mind. He would prove to his Deity that his promises were not empty. He could do it easily. Without breaking a sweat, her life would end before she had time to release a shrill cry for help. And so he stared at her silently. He turned and left the room. The Mother is not impressed with acts of violence and murder. Such deeds do not fill her with the joy the creature wished to deliver to her. If he were to impress his God, Salvare would do it the right way. He rode the lift upwards, silent through the journey. He climbed each step with a clear and thoughtful mind, and he opened and closed every door with ease so as to not disturb the residents of the manor he sought to protect. He ventured outside, the brisk night air soothing him further. The moonlight shone off of his bulky body, which glistened like metallic obsidian as he entered and vacated the gatehouse. As The Infernal Prophet disappeared into the ‘Forest of Parasites’, as he had heard it called, he treaded onwards with only one thought on his mind. ”You will see that we are deserving of more. I will prove it to you, lest I be cast into the Abyss for disgracing your will-” the being continued to whisper to himself in various cascading voices as his frame began to shrink. The atrocious aura followed suit, barely becoming noticeable. His tan skin became visible, only for it to be hidden underneath the cowl he wrapped around himself. The yellow glow emitting from his eyes faded as well once his metallic mask was affixed to his face, and the wisps leaking from behind his eyes dissipated entirely after he finished his uttering, now speaking in his singular mortal tone. “-Arun’Asna.” Art by Chris Cold

  16. I thought i joined on the 26th but I guess I was wrong so I’m late AMA If I said yes, you would be disappointed because he hates everyone who isn’t me. But No 6.5, whenever I piss off the last community there is to piss off probably You’re already an Admin, you just have to believe in yourself At least three Pink You strike me as a 3, I’m an 8, and @Elennanore is a ******* 10/10 would come again The dynamic between host and parasite and how the host either finds ways to cope with the torturous being within his head or succumbs to its madness, all in exchange for power, was the biggest selling point to me, and the lore is pretty sick. I’ve also enjoyed how powerful of a tool it is for character growth, as you can start out with a perfectly innocent person who adopts the parasite out of ignorance, and end up with a completely different individual by the time you hit T5, warped and completely unrecognizable due to the torment they face within their mind. Also, the community is pretty rad. Nowadays, at least. It do how it be because it just really do be like that sometimes I don’t talk to minors, sorry. Alabama probably 17

  21. Lye is banned because sodium hydroxide is an extremely complicated chemistry thing. We didn’t care at first, but then someone began teaching people how to use lye to decompose bodies at an accelerated rate. People abused it, so it was axed. You want to use the lye found in wood ash? Great. Don’t call it lye. Call it wood ash.
