  1. "So when are we raiding Haelun'or?" said Fenneyr to himself from one of his multiple homes.

Yeah I can’t see **** so appreciate the tag

  5. "Why is it stagnant but also described as liberally progressive, am I the only one whose seeing this little bit of contradiction?" a mali said sat by a fireplace in a human city as he'd read the piece
  6. "This is probably the weirdest announcement I've read from the Silver State." the mali'ata would say to himself looking at the purist propaganda in the comfort of his beautiful home in Elvenesse
  7. It's either that or people paying money after getting magic I gotta say I didn't actually remember posting this till I checked the forums just now, this hangover is also killing me Right now Results sorta show that if you have a magic typically you're a VIP but there's not any correlation between more money spent = more magics obtained, Coal VIPs with 4, Aether VIPs with 1 etc.
  8. I'm drunk and wondering if there's a correlation between money spent on the server and magic an individual has to help see if magic can equate to investment of money into LotC please do the survey to help see if there's a correlation It's mostly inspired cuz I see a lot of mages with high tier vip so it's a possibility https://forms.gle/vAvG6d7rBKp6FsJ8A
  9. We both have points to agree n' disagree with pal ❤️ love the debate from you though as you do raise some good points
  10. Promoting the hunting of teachers is the worst idea ever made I'd be for this really, there are currently ~20+ alchemists on lotc (sounds like a lot but then you have to remember there's like 300-500 players and the number of whom may desire alchemy may be massive. Also furtheremore note that not all of these individuals have TAs.
  11. I'm not going to argue with you, sure you can take it as a philosophy but it's not what many players are interested in, alchemy roleplay gave incentive, fun, experimentation, adventure and so on. Going out to hunt creatures for their alchemical reagents from the creature index, looking for herbs and so forth in the wild with a basic honour system made it fun and enjoyable. Taking the freedom away from the playerbase and putting up the wall simply locks so much away from the playerbase. ---- Summary and Conclusion.
  12. 'expansive and philosophical way' but with no outcome or progression, it's like teaching people 1 thing with no way of furthering it "So basically the world is made of symbols and equivalent exchange" "Can I do that??" "No you don't have the feat, so that's all the philosophy you have, knowledge about the world that you can never apply" Plenty of things can be taught in a philosophical way, however it's the fact that you'd be inspiring a player with teaching them about symbolism but then having to explain oocly that sadly they can't really pursue it unless they find an alchemist or god forbid managed to get their hands on a most likely hidden away book, because adventuring, experimenting, etc. is gatekept from them. - All recipes in Alchemy – as well as the ability to draw symbols from reagents and botany – require an accepted Feat to create, as well as a tier level equating the complexity of said recipe.
  13. If only it wasn't gatekept people could actually enjoy the massive lore of alchemy and not just 'ah yes crush plant and slap it on' because that's all people r limited to
  14. Excellent writing skill, knowing Suit's skill at writing lore I'd expect no better and no less ❤️
  15. In the Evening, multiple individuals would find a small pigeon with a small piece of blue string wrapped around one leg and a message on the other. These pigeons would have various replies. To @SilkieSilky: To @DesiredBreakfast: To @MiniMuffinNinja: To @neoroseo:
  16. Thankfully it wasn't on Elvenesse Tree Vulln'maelu learnt from last time of course
  17. A quickly written note is then pinned to that letter "Sarrion please help I'm desperate to get my hands to do something" -Morgan
  18. A poster in cloud temple goes up A Proposition to the Naïve This is a proposition to those of magical inclinations yet without the availability of a teacher or method of teaching. I Vulln'maelu will be happy to teach up to three individuals in the art of either water evocation, or more preferably, sensory illusion. I am seeking individuals who are new to the world of arcana and sorcery, and do hold ill-will toward voidal users. Individuals who have perked interests should attach a reply to this poster, send a letter to my accommodation within Elvenesse privately, however I do ask they do not approach my person as it can be a legal offence within the land of Elvenesse. If I am of equally perked interests in teaching, I shall send an adequate reply back to the sender. Druids need not apply. Faithfully, Vulln'maelu. Sorcerer and Scholar P.s. I won't be teaching inside of the lands of Elvenesse until law dictates I can, sadly the Father Circle is incredibly aggressive to my ilk, as well as voidal magic in general and it is therefore permitted that I teach individuals in groves where nature is not abundant.
  19. So, recently I did a survey with the intention to observe what sort of magics are and are not in fashion/trend as of right now. The first note that of course not all members from each magic would of responded to the survey, that being said however I still had quite a nice portion of the playerbase (61 responses on the survey which is quite a sizable portion of the playerbase to be able to work out an estimate) Clear Observations: Druidism the most popular magic overall Fire Evocation is the most popular Voidal magic, followed by Water Evocation and Transfiguration Pale Blood magic is one of the more popular dark magics, however there is a potential resurgence in the Necromancy playerbase There are many Kani users even though nobody knows what that magic even is Life Evocation, Yeu Rthulu, Shade, Chi and Golemancy are the smallest magic portions. Life Evocation potentially being as such due to it's only recent accepting. Sensory Illusion is quite low right now, perhaps from the lack of fresh teachers? I hope you all found this interesting. It's quite nice to see what magics are being potentially sheltered away or have just not had the chance to become popular like the rest. It also helps show what magics may need to be jumpstarted (Life and Earth evocation nudge nudge) I'll also implore you players who are interested in magic to go out and look for opportunities, just...please don't pm us about it (we hate that and we tell our mage buddies also not to teach you so don't do it, it's bad) I will also remind again that of course this survey isn't going to be 100% accurate as not all magic users would of responded, some may of included inactive characters etc. Though this does help show what is in circulation right now.
