I transferred from drinking coffee to drinking tea solely. Now I typically have at least 2-3 cups a day. This is how I go.

1) Invest in a good metal kettle to make your tea in. I have one that my family used for over 7 years - has never done me wrong when I took it when I moved out, and never will. Ideally use it in combination with a burner setup and not an induction hob (though this just depends generally on your flat, but in general you should get a good metal kettle)

Oftentimes I'll just use your typical earl grey teabags that you can buy in the Tesco supermarket for pennies at most and with how I do my tea, since I tend to steep my tea for about 15 minutes (I start with hot water, high heat till the kettle starts to spit, then lower it to medium low heat with the lid of the kettle tipped ajar, and I usually just go by instinct for when my tea's done - but when I pour it it's generally just the caramel that I base it off of.)

2) Invest in a good tea infuser, and double kettle setup, for when you want to try giving Arabic tea a go. I don't usually make loose leaf chai but I do it as a treat sometimes. The chai that my family makes is quite similar to Turkish chai. I have a double kettle setup [a larger kettle on the bottom where you boil the water, and a smaller kettle on top where the tea infuser with the loose leaf tea is]. I usually drink 2-3 cups and when I make chai I'm usually making it to share, but for one person drinking 2-3 cups (these cups are small, the chai we make is usually drank without milk). 3/4 of a full tablespoon per cup of chai you want to make. I add 2-3 bruised cardamom pods as well, but I don't add them into the infuser, just let them chill in the water. 

My favourite loose leaf tea brand I use is Ahmad Tea, and when I make chai I make it with Ceylon loose leaf tea, or with the Earl Grey, but I prefer Ceylon.

@L0rdLawyer wolfkite i don't know anything about what you're on about but you can genuinely see there's a bit of lack of sense in just letting as many people as you like come and get involved in a combat situation from absolutely anywhere across the map without any roleplay reasoning whatsoever. even sending a bird in the middle of combat is absurd - thinking thematically, combat encounters don't last hours, they last minutes, sometimes even less, realistically, and you just wouldn't have the time usually to send a bird in the middle of crp and get your friend in the north to come down to the south [across an entire continent] to take part in it 

can't be bothered to make a post about it but someone genuinely should add a combat lock

i think the smartest way to do it would be so that, at the time of initiation of crp, combat can only include extra people later on if they're within shout distance at the time of combat beginning - it makes sense thematically, after all. 

say you're being bandited on the roads, and you try to shout for help in shout chat, as you would typically if you were at risk of being hurt or killed, the consequences of this are reflected in how the bandits will try to now kill you to eliminate any further threat of you shouting for help to get people to come and stop them, but it means that you can't get anyone else involved in the rp if they weren't in shouting radius when combat initiation actually started. 

that's just my opinion and something i think could be viable, but i think that could also be messy if mods don't have easy to use tools to check if someone was actually in that radius when crp started, as it could lead to mods getting called to check every single time a rando walks up to a crp fight from the middle of seemingly nowhere to help their friend just to make sure they were genuinely within that radius at the time of crp initiation. 

the most simple solution would be to have it so that nobody can involve themselves with the combat in any way at all once combat has begun, or to have it so that a timer begins from the time of combat beginning, within which time [e.g one minute] people can come and involve themselves rply if called irp. after that time is over then there's no possible way for anyone to get involved.

nah ct is better like this, mainly just being used as a place for people to spawn from - there IS CT rp, however minimal it is, in the hubs area i quite often see a lot of people just congregated talking, oftentimes military forces or other groups will typically gather there to pre-emptively rp before they go out elsewhere through one of the hubs. the existence of wilven monks as roleplayable characters and the whole 'lotsofmuffins' ct phase where the community team all just played wilven monks and rpd at ct was really, really just bad
