THE THIRD REGIMENT The Curonian Skirmishers “All die who oppose the bear” HISTORY With the treason of Marshal Svedovit in the beginning of the war the Kingdom of Curon has been left completely undefended and crumbling. With the marshals that followed in the begin stages of the war the Kingdom did not recover and the marshals were either kicked out of office or died, all remaining soldiers of the now almost leaderless Royal Army were left on their own and the Kingdoms defenders quickly became no more than a peasant militia. When Marshal Godric was appointed to office the kingdom showed it’s first signs of recovery and the army was again reformed, but these reforms did not last and Godric was kicked out of office and again the Army crumbled. When the war entered it’s 7th year Wilhelm II was appointed as new Governor-General of Curon and with him came a new rebirth for Curon. Wilhelms first order was to reorganize all remaining armed forces in Curon and form them together to make a new imperial army regiment. The man he appointed was Lord Rickard Enthelor, a Curonic noblemen who quickly began the difficult process of reforging Curons defences. Within a few saints days the order was given and the 3rd Imperial State Regiment was born under the nickname “Curons Skirmishers” With Colonel Rickard Enthelor at it’s head. Disciplines Curonian Soldiers will never cause harm to the Kingdom Curonian Soldiers will always obey their officers and the Crown Curonian Soldiers will never cause harm to their Brothers in Arms Curonian Soldiers will do all they can and in need give their lives to protect Curon and it’s Citizens Curonian Soldiers will never inflict harm on those who are under age or not able to defend themselves (Curonian Regimental soldiers preparing for battle, unknown artist, c. 1745) RANKS Officer Corps Colonel Head of the Military within the Kingdom of Curon, in charge of the entirety of the Regiment Captain Second in command of the Regiment, has to be a role model for other troops and able to lead them into battle without doubt and fear. Lieutenant Third in commands of the Regiment, the Lieutenants are responsible for the organization of training sessions and patrols and lead the men of the Regiment into battle. Ensign The newest members of the Senior leadership of the Regiment, these men have proven themselves to be able to fight and lead their men into battle in times of crisis Regulars Sergeant Sergeants tend to be the oldest and most experienced soldiers who have not pursued a commission. Well versed in unit tactics, drill and dress, sergeants are never seen without their drill cane with which unruly privates can be kept in line. Sergeants rely on orders from commissioned officers and distribute them throughout the troops, keeping form and order on the battlefield. Corporal Corporals are thoroughly experienced soldiers who have completed a term of no less than two years in service. Chosen from those most experienced privates and having a good deal of battle experience, corporals are expected to organize privates and recruits to follow the orders of their sergeants and officers. Private Privates of the regiment consists of men elevated from the rank of recruit, having passed their training process. The privates of the regiment are expected to carry out all duties assigned to them in an orderly fashion and make up the rank and file of the regiment. Authorized fully to carry out the Crown’s Justice these loyal skirmishers are commonly seen in groups no less than four with either an non-commissioned officer or commissioned officer close at hand. Recruit Fresh recruits undergo a two-year training process before being oathed and raised to the rank of private. During this time, they are exposed to the rigor and discipline of state military tradition, along with a nascent education in Imperial society and culture. They have not yet formally enlisted into the military, and as a result do not have the right to wear any military regalia.
