"Emperor?" Such was the Monarchs first query upon reading of the delivered missive. Each word read only served to arch her brows further, unsure what to think. A world without the Church? Without the True Faith? It was unthinkable, and as she filed the missive away, she pondered as to the churches response.

THE SOVEREIGN FAMILY OF HYSPIA THE ADRIANA SAPPHIRE Issued on the 3rd of Maria’s Peace of the year of 140 D.R. TO MY BELOVED NIECE, Recently, did you publish a missive dedicated towards scholarly efforts of the history and meaning of Hyspian sapphires. Your gift to a homeland not your own has inspired me to present a gift in response, the El Zafiro Adriana. [!] A depiction of the El Zafiro Adriana tiara, displayed on a bust. Made of gold and polished sapphires from our mines, it is a gift dedicated to the Lady Adriana Temesch. While it could not hope to match you as a person, I pray you may enjoy the tiara in the years to come. "Beautifully written, 'brina," Her gaze panned over the scholarly missive, before beginning preparations of a gift in response to the one given by her niece. Surely, a sapphire tiara would do, no?

THE KNIGHTLY COMPENDIUM Vol. III Posthumous and the Fallen Issued on the 1st of Horen’s Calling of the year of 140 D.R. I write this as the third volume of a Knights compendium, as I research into the Knights of the Order of the Stallion and those who were knighted before the order was formed. This is a special edition, looking at those fallen, and posthumous Knights. Each volume will include three Knights, their known deeds and monikers. Ser Vicente “the Loyal” Ser Vicente Murietta ‘the Loyal’ - 1935 to 1965 @Javert Ser Vicente Murietta was the only child of Alberto and Carmella Murietta. He grew up in a farming village within Hyspia, alongside his childhood best friend and later wife, Mariposa Aganza. Despite his common upbringing, he was well-learned in Hyspias history and so when he had moved to the capital, he would write and teach the next generation. Alongside this, he became a soldier in the military and worked his way steadily up overtime until he came to lead it. During his years as a soldier, he served in the Veletz-Coalition War and had even been captured at one point, where he was made to duel for his life. He lost the duel, but was allowed to keep his life if he swore on his honor he would not take part in the fighting again. He swore such and upheld that oath. It was during the Hyspian independence meeting that he drew his blade, believing his Viceroy Cesar II to be under threat. He was executed for his actions, by one of his fellow soldiers. Some years later, upon the ascension of Xiomara I to the Hyspian throne, he was posthumously Knighted and dubbed Ser Vicente ‘the Loyal’. Ser Nicolas “the Blunt” Ser Nicolas Murietta ‘the Blunt’ - 1960 to 2009 @Javert Ser Nicolas Murietta was one of five children born to Ser Vicente and Mariposa Murietta. His upbringing was not one of wealth, having been raised in tight quarters amongst his family. Nonetheless, his family was said to be close and to cook and sing often. In his earlier years, he was raised during a war between the Orcs and Hyspia but eventually found peace as the reign of Ramona I began. With the execution of his father, he often assisted his mother in her day-to-day duties and took on odd jobs to assure the family stayed afloat. It was when he grew older, that he met Revekka Luceran during a season of Hyspias El Puente and the two soon married afterwards. Throughout this all, he was known as a blunt, no-nonsense man, who had followed his fathers footsteps in joining the military. His eldest brother, Luis Murietta had gone on to marry the Crown-Princess Santana Leya - which in turn led him down the path he took part in later in life. A time in history, dubbed as ‘the Blue Night Massacre’ led to much of the changes he, and his wife would come to see - when the Crown-Princess Santana had been poisoned by the servantry of the palace. He would go on to lock down the city, and assure the three Princesses; his nieces were safe. Upon the orders of Ramona I, the servants of the palace were all executed for their role in what took place and at an emergency court shortly afterwards, he and his wife alike were given a choice. For their family to rise to nobility, or for them to be knighted. With their children in mind, they agreed to the Barony. It was shortly after that Ramona I would pass away, and the ascension of the eight year old Xiomara I, and his niece would take place. He would take on the role of Grand Councillor, advising her greatly in matters of the nation. It was upon her ascension that the young Xiomara had decided to grant Nicolas Knighthood, thus dubbing him Ser Nicolas ‘the Blunt’. It was some years later in his life that the very same title he was granted, would be stripped away for his role in an attempted revolution against the Crown. His treason led not to death, out of respect for his familial ties and his many years of diligent work, but instead he was stripped of his knightly title, his role as grand councillor and made to abdicate his title of Baron of Ramonadora to his daughter, Rosaria Murietta. Dame Revekka “the Expedient” Dame Revekka ‘the Expedient’ - 1960 to 2009 @zevenity Dame Revekka Murietta, originally Revekka Luceran was born to Esmeray Luceran. While her initial origins are unknown, save for her mothers name, she was known to have been raised in Rah’tuma, a foreign vassal. She had come to move to Hyspia after visiting during the season of El Puente, where she met and went on to marry the Nicolas Murietta. Giving up her former way of life, she would move to Hyspia and begin to acclimate to the culture while raising her family. While not a soldier, she would assist in conflicts but primarily held a role as a doctor. She tended to the wounded, and ran the clinic, teaching students and soldiers alike - so they may not only harm but also heal. Despite her teachings, she was not a woman known for her patience and so when the Blue Night Massacre took place, she did not stand idle and instead went in to assist. It was with this that the life of Ramona I was saved, when a woman, believed to be the assassin of the Crown-Princess Santana had attempted to put a hatchet through the Monarchs' back. Not only had she saved Ramona I from such a fate, but she went onward to tend the wounded from such a crisis. The only wedded Knights in Hyspian history, it was her and Nicolas Murietta who stood at the forefront of an emergency meeting, where they were both offered a choice; ascension to nobility or to knighthood. Much like written about Ser Nicolas, they had chosen to rise to a Barony, only to be later knighted alongside her husband in the court that took place in the coming days by the young Xiomara I. She was thus dubbed Ser Revekka ‘the Expedient’, but upon request was allowed usage of the term Dame. She served as a knight for some years, orderless, and upon the attempted revolution alongside her husband was stripped of her knightley and consort titles alike. SIGNED, LA SEÑORITA, Pricilla Fontesar, Page to Ser Leomonte ‘the Sunblade’

Pricilla Fontesar peers over the missive in contemplation. The sleepover did sound fun, but sleeping in a strange place did not. But maybe she could go for a bit, and then see how she feels? She continued to ponder, before nodding some to herself - turning in the direction of her best friend. "L-Letta! Are you going?" The missive is held up for her to see. @resurectionist

The Hyspian-Balian Artisan Faire.
tadabug2000 replied to Cheeseycereal's topic in The Kingdom of Hyspia
Xiomara peered over the missive, and made plans for the coming faire. Even as she did, her heart ached - knowing she would never hear her brother Tomas calls of moustache care products being sold again. Who would see to impeccable moustaches now? -
THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF HYSPIA EMBAJADOR DE HYSPIA Issued on the 13th of Maria's Peace of the year of 139 D.R. To pen this comes with great difficulty, for the one who held such a role has passed onto the Seven Skies. Tomas Salazar was an exceptional man, and an exceptional ambassador, building Hyspia’s international relations for many years and always with a most impeccable moustache. He was a great friend to many, and shall be mourned greatly. This appointment today is of a man he spoke of immensely, one he believed would make a fine Diplomat and Embajador to boot. It is with the late Tomas Salazar recommendation in mind that the Crown appoints Manny Fontesar as the Embajador of Hyspia. We look forward to what he does in this position, and the heights of which he will take Hyspia to next. Viva Hyspia! DIOS Bless! DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER SERENE HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Viscountess of Banderas, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro, Campagnon, and Sevilla, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, Matriarch of House de Pelear, Knight of the Order of the Prophetic Hill of Lorina, etcetera. THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF HYSPIA GRAN CANCILLER DE HYSPIA Issued on the 13th of Maria's Peace of the year of 139 D.R. It has been some years since the retirement of the Baron Andres del Maravilla from his role upon the Sovereign Council, and it should come as no surprise to many the announcement of which the Crown pens today. The role has been vacant for some time, and a man well-respected and well-known by the community has stepped forth - he has been a presence of justice and balance within our Sovereign State; furthermore has he grown his family immensely in these past years all the while working diligently alongside the Crown. It is with this in mind it is the Crown's utmost pleasure to appoint the Baron Dante Fontesar as the Gran Canciller of Hyspia, acting for all intents and purposes as the second-in-command to the Sovereigns themselves. The Last Breath of Grace [PK]
tadabug2000 replied to comatoseprincess's topic in Character Graveyard
Xiomara stared, silent, at the body within the morgue. It was all too familiar. The injuries, what happened. That wicked woman was dead, so why now was this coming back to haunt her? To haunt Hyspia? A prayer, uttered so lowly, not even the attendant at her side could hear came and she turned on her heel, dark fabrics of her mourning gown turning with her. A candle would be lit, and a vase of roses set out upon the ofrenda. The Baroness, her cousins name displayed beside Tomas own. If the undead woman who killed her father - and now Rosaria - was back, it was only fair her life was taken once more. "May she die with prayers unto DIOS upon her wretched lips, for that shall be the closest to seeing His light she shall ever come." A vow made and one not to be broken. -
THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF HYSPIA A NEW GENERATION Issued on the 24th of Maria’s Peace of the year of 139 D.R. INTRODUCTION Many changes have taken place since the ascension of Xiomara I over twenty-five years ago now, both within the Sovereign State of Hyspia itself and her Sovereign Council. Roles have been added and removed alike, councilors have retired or been inducted, this missive today is to publish what the Council consists of, their expected responsibilities and who fulfilled those roles. Grand Councilor Gran Canciller de Hyspia, Baron Dante Fontesar @Tomagas The role of Grand Councilor is to oversee the council as a whole, and step in to fill positions as seen fit. This extends furthermore to regencies, in which they would act as a regent in the event one is needed. They work as a second-in-command to the Sovereign and one of their responsibilities is to take care of the tri-monthly census, which coincides with the Alcalde elections of our city. Foot traffic and the assistance of new citizenry are a paramount responsibility in their day-to-day work - working in the internal politics of the city. Ambassador Embajador de Hyspia, Vacant As opposed to the Grand Councilor, the role of the Ambassador is to oversee the diplomatic affairs of the nation. Treaties and meetings are paramount, their face becoming known in global politics. They often become the face of our Sovereign nation in meetings, in which they encourage friendships or handle enemies alike. Captain Capitan de Hyspia, Ser Leomonte @Leomonte The Captain of the Order of Francisco oversees the militarial affairs of our nation. Their role is in the recruitment of soldiers to protect our populace, and training them alike. They advise heavily on military matters, and in the event of war are to do as needed to protect the Sovereign crown and the safety of the citizenry. Mayor The Mayor or Vice-Mayor of Hyspia, known more commonly as ‘Alcalde’, is an ever-changing position that comes every twelve years. Their work is in seeing to the petitions of the citizenry and care for the city, granting them a role in the Low Council. Z DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER SERENE HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Viscountess of Banderas, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro, Campagnon and Sevilla, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, etcetera. Xiomara marks the date! She adored Lominzil greatly, and wondered what a suiting gift might be for the couple.

Pricilla Fontesar lay, fitfully asleep within the clinic. Her burns were bandaged, and nightmares haunted her of what happened that day. A half-scorched cat lay atop her stomach, very much awake and yowling awfully with each twist and turn of the Fontesar. --- Xiomara would not hear of the news until the next day. Her brother, he was that in all but blood, was dead. Her husband was missing. Her citizenries home was burnt, their belongings rendered to naught but a pile of ash - their children traumatized, Ser Cirilla and Dante not without their own injuries. Something bubbled up past that grief of which clogged her throat, as she donned a darkened veil, and the dark fabrics of mourning overcame her. Rage. These creatures would pay in blood, even if she had to claw it from their undead flesh, or pry their bones apart. A prayer is uttered to DIOS above, for she had no mercy to show.
-
Pricilla Fontesar left the night with burns marring the young childs form, and a hard-gotten half-scorched cat by the name of Beastie. Traumatized, that was for certain - she twisted and turned with cries and screams in the clinic, plagued by nightmares of what happened. Her childhood home in flames, her father dragged away and peoples screams as they burned.. It would haunt her.

"Hm," A hum is had as she peered over the missive. "Another Zafrios. Which side of the coin shall he fall upon?" Would the third sibling provide a new perspective as to the family? The missive is filed away, and a palm raises in a signal to her cupbearer, Anacleta. "Prepare one of the wines. A suiting welcome gift, I would say," @resurectionist

THE KNIGHTLY COMPENDIUM Vol. II The Knights of Hyspia Issued on the 8th of Horen’s Calling of the year of 138 D.R. I write this as the second volume of the Knights compendium, as I research into the Knights of the Order of the Stallion alongside those who were knighted before the order was formed. Each volume will include three Knights, their known deeds and monikers. Ser Cirilla “the Fangbreaker” Ser Cirilla Fontesar ‘the Fangbreaker’ - 1980 to current @_mady07 Ser Cirilla Fontesar was born as Señorita Cirilla Zafrios in an outlying farming village of Hyspia. One of three children, she had set out at an early age for the capital to make a name for herself, holding many ambitions. It was during a time of turmoil that the then child-Sovereign Xiomara I had assigned Cirilla as a squire to the child Knight, Ser Julian - thus beginning what is now known as the Cirillan Squire Trials within the Order of the Stallion. For all intents and purposes, she had been the first Squire and undergone many trials and tribulations as the path to the Order being founded took place. Cirilla is scrappy, her street smarts and cunning making a name for herself early on. She partook in endless fights, internal and external, setting precedent for all Squires to come after her. It was in her final trial that she slain a giant snake within the Badlands, presenting its fang at the next court, of which had to be carried by many people. It was there that she was knighted under Xiomara I and dubbed Ser Cirilla “the Fangbreaker”. Ser Leomonte “the Sunblade” Ser Leomonte ‘the Sunblade’ - 1971 to current @Leomonte Ser Leomonte is a man who had not hailed from Hyspia originally but instead a far-away continent. He had moved to the Sovereign State, serving for many years within the military before ever being given a chance at Squireship. Despite his origins, he is well-known to be a Hyspian nationalist. Known for his fiery hair and loud mouth, Ser Leomontes relationships with the people ranged wildly. He held no room for those who would not take up the blade, and put his own life and at times his families on the line to assure the safety of the royal family. These notions were showcased many times, when facing off with banditry, declaring duels on behalf of the Sovereign and seeing to the safety of the people. It was at the most recent court that he was knighted, the same day he had been named Capitan of the Orden de Francisco. Orcs had raided the city beforehand and he launched a rescue raid to see to it that the citizens kidnapped were returned safely home. He was then dubbed, Ser Leomonte “the Sun blade”. Ser Emil “the Iron-Wing” Ser Emil del Maravilla ‘the Iron-Wing’ - 1982 to current @johnnydeath6 Ser Emil, originally Emil Tejada was born a common man with no background. His steps were silent, appearing throughout the city on his daily patrols as he steadily worked his way up through the military. Rarely known for grand gestures, he made quite the splash at El Puente, upon dedicating a constructed bridge to his now wife, the Baroness Vania del Maravilla. A family man, his time had often been spent caring for his work for and children or within the smithy, his second-love. While the Squire often kept silent, the ringing sounds of a hammer would come from the bastion, seeing to the proper arming of the military. Coming to be known by many names and terms, his fight for the safety of the citizenry was endless. He had been knighted under Sovereign Xiomara I at the most recent court, and with his demeanor kept in mind, was given the moniker of Ser Emil “the Iron-Wing”.. Xiomara signed with the preoffered featherpen, and handed it off then to Tomas. The meeting went exceedingly well, and she looked to those gathered afterwards with a nod, signaling they may begin their trek home. A prayer is offered, and the Lorraine signed as they stood upon the hill of Mont Lemon in turn.

The Royal Nameday of Princess Cataleya
tadabug2000 replied to Cheeseycereal's topic in The Kingdom of Hyspia
Xiomara smiled dotingly upon her daughter, even as statues of pigs soon filled her palace. The cooks worked tirelessly in preparing anything even remotely pig-themed, and the servantry strung up vibrantly pink banners for all to see, the preparations were well underway! "If pigs is what she wants, pigs is what she gets." -
