We affirm Otto Carrion-Horen II as rightful ruler of the Kingdom of Oren by blood and by sword. The Kingdom of Herendul was a founding building block of this Carrion dynasty. We will not so quickly abandon it in favor of a girl that I have never met, who has not the ability to prove a legitimate claim to the empire of her fathers, by agnatic claim or by sword. The Kingdom of Herendul will back our sister Kingdom, we are not so easily turned. The Carrion dynasty will maintain its hegemony, and all rebels are suggested to throw down their swords and offer themselves to the Emperor to reap the rewards of repentance. The armies of Herendul shall be rallied in defense of the empire, and our enemies will fall by our swords, in unity and brotherhood with our southern neighbours. He sends word to Herendul to discuss land and noble reform in order to ease tensions between the common folk and insure that this relationship stands to last beyond this petty rebellion. He takes a deep breath breathing in the cold air. His hand cannot help but move to his temples where he begins to massage the headache from his mind. He was still recovering from the talks on the issue of Oren and its rebellion, talks that carried on for days and well into the nights. He opens the letter with aging fingers and begins to read with tired eyes.
