What is your opinion of the dwarves?

Short bearded fellows that are at war with Oren. They've gotten REALLY trolly. When I first joined, Dwarves were bearded fellows who loved ale and smithing. I have yet to see a good dwarf smith or good dwarf ale. I think their RP has deteriorated immensely

What is your opinion of the dwarven leaders?

Indigo. That is all.

What is your opinion of the current roleplay the dwarves offer?

In all fantasy novels, dwarves are mechanical badasses more interested in themselves then others, only being interested in war when its to satisfy their own pride after some big offense. What happened to the golemancy, runesmithing, and awesome dwarf masonry. WHAT HAPPENED TO IT!?!?!

What would you like to see from the dwarves?

Make peace with Oren, they weren't even originally involved, it was over a Club Penguin game and thats just stupid. Another thing is for them to repair relations OOC and RP, and fix their RP.

What would you do to improve/change it for the better?

Look above

Keep it simple and nice please.

Yes master.

What about where a clan is incharge of a certian aspect of roleplay, like one clan does the mining the other does the lumberjacking and farming?

I'm pretty sure something like that's happened before, and I think it could work again. Id just like to see more clan-based RP so that all the clans can develop on their own and not seem exactly the same as the others.

You see, because of alot of the older dwarves being the ones who knew Golemancy and Runesmithing, Tethras is the last active Runesmith and Golemancer and he dosn't want to teach anyone as he does not trust any of us with it :/

Ask the High Elves to teach some of the Dwarves if he's inactive. That was part of the treaty, after all. Nobody wants to see Dwarven Golemancy vanish, let alone us. We have Runesmithing stuff too.

What is your opinion of the dwarves?

As an older dwarf, my opinions are quite mixed. On the one hand, they've gotten a lot more trolly in Anthos but then so has Oren and most of the server for that matter. Then on the other hand, they have genuinely been trying to improve role play, though understandably having made some mistakes along the way. At its best, dwarven role play is my favourite part of the server. It's just about doing it right and taking it seriously, while at the same time showing a willingness to have fun.

What is your opinion of the dwarven leaders?

To begin, I think most people can admit they made a mistake in declaring war on Oren when the server as a whole should have been focusing on internal role play. Getting over that fact however, I think they've received far too much OOC hatred than they deserved. A lot of it has been frankly quite immature, which has really led me to sympathise with this generation of dwarves. With next to no GM involvement, they've managed to keep a nation that's existed from Aegis moving forward for a good time now. In terms of the dwarven antagonist, they've done an excellent job in picking up where the older dwarves left off. They are starting to learn, yet it will take time to get to the point the dwarves used to be at. Also the wall around their lands was a very bad idea as this prevents people from entering dwarven lands and bringing role play there. I do think a lot of people forget that this generation of dwarves, almost in its entirety, only joined in Anthos. Very few Aegis/Asulon dwarves are left unfortunately.

What is your opinion of the current roleplay the dwarves offer?

It needs to focus less on conflict role play and more upon dwarven lore and culture. Unfortunately with the war going on this seems rather unlikely for the forseeable future. Judging by a lot of the comments, I don't think many people have actually experienced proper dwarven role play which is unfortunate. It seems a lot of the RP goes on within the capital but when they leave to other lands, it usually ends in shouting which is why so many people just think that's all their role play provides.

What would you like to see from the dwarves?

Again, more effort put into improving internal role play and activity within the dwarven capital. Most people don't seem to realise but this war partly derives its purpose from Asulon, when Oren tried to assist the orcs in their invasion of dwarven territory. Dwarves never forget a grudge. I didn't particularly agree with going to war but admittedly that was more for OOC reasons than IC. ICly, I can understand why their characters would have taken this decision.

Under fair terms, they could try to end the war with Oren but if not, I think it's simply best they continue fighting and doing what they're doing in trying to make peace with the rest of Anthos. I think people should also be looking at the IC reasons of the orcs and elves before they start pointing fingers at the dwarves. The dwarves have done nothing but help the elves and orcs in Anthos. Why are they involved in this war exactly?

What would you do to improve/change it for the better?

It seems this is similar to the last question but as I said, a greater emphasis upon internal role play and a more peaceful / old style dwarven approach towards diplomacy. The lore and culture is there for them to use, they just have to implement it and stick by it. Attacking or threatening another nation without trying to talk to them first is not the way to go.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that their lack of players is by no means entirely their own fault. The dwarves have never been the most popular race in terms of server applicants but this isn't helped much by the fact that they're divided from most of the active population of the server by the north/south divide.

Also Blundermore, the system you proposed isn't all too far from what they currently use now. What I encourage people to do if you choose to make a dwarf is join one of the lesser clans rather than the bigger ones. That way we have a rise in clan role play, rather than simply one clan dominating dwarven politics as it sort of is now.

What is your opinion of the dwarves?

They are very experienced in rp, somewhat funny and very interesting.

What is your opinion of the dwarven leaders?

The leaders are everything i would expect from a dwarven leader and even more, although they could improve the population and organize more events for dwarves.

What is your opinion of the current roleplay the dwarves offer?

Like i said, they seem to have mastered the scottish accent and dwarf-like roleplay.

What would you like to see from the dwarves?

I would like to see more dwarves, because they seem to be few in numbers. There should be also wood-dwarves.

What would you do to improve/change it for the better?

Their city to be more active and less licking random people and each other :D.

Keep it simple and nice please.

There should be also wood-dwarves.

Forest Dwarves are one of the subraces, they're just "extinct" in that nobody plays them any more.

From a Leader's Point of View

What is your opinion of the dwarves?

Honestly? We are far too trolly and war based.

What is your opinion of the dwarven leaders?

We don't have the best ways of communicating with each other, which often ends with us running into some kind of trouble along the way. Along with that, there are far too many of us focused on combat and war in general.

What is your opinion of the current roleplay the dwarves offer?

The roleplay is suffering heavily, the most roleplay we do now is shouting at each other during a skirmish or yelling insults at the other side.

What would you like to see from the dwarves?

I personally would like to see a general change in the maturity level. Currently, w all act like children who don't know how to control themselves, and stop and think on a situation before acting. I would love to see actual smithing return to the city, as well story telling. Some of the newer Dwarves need to hear the old stories that we used to tell(Some of them are quiet humorous).

What would you do to improve/change it for the better?

I would steer away from war and focus more on the guilds other than the legion, which is the only active guild at the moment. We need more merchants as well! The last time I saw a boom in merchants was back when Dun was Grand Merchant(around 6 months ago)!

Keep it simple and nice please.

What is your opinion of the dwarves?
I've been a dwarf for around a year now. Not quite as long as some, but longer than many. When I first became a dwarf, they were by far my favorite race. They brought me in, taught me to RP, accepted me into a clan, and I had the most fun of my LotC experience in those days. Back then, they were not completely war-based. There was engineering, smithing, mining, and simple normal dwarven roleplay. Nowadays, it's all war, war, war, war, WAR. It's degrading our RP down immensely. I haven't seen some good ol' Dwarven engineering, or smithing, or even just tavern RP in months. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of trolling in the Dwarven community these days.

What is your opinion of the dwarven leaders?
They are very trolly. They started a war with Oren for something that happened on Club Penguin (confirmed by a Dwarf in the council). It's just ridiculous, we need some serious Dwarven leaders who are willing to try and reform us back to our former glory. We need leaders who know what they're doing, know how to run a kingdom, and don't bring OOC into IC so much.

What is your opinion of the current roleplay the dwarves offer?
Too much war and trolling. Lots of shouting and swearing, not a lot of actual RP amongst many of them these days. :/

What would you like to see from the dwarves?
Some new, more serious leaders, and some more serious roleplay. Less wars, more dwarven culture and some real, serious dwarven roleplay.

What would you do to improve/change it for the better?
See above. Also, #Hiebe4King.

Try making a peace treaty and end the war. I think Oren needs to be reasonable here for the sake of survival of Dwarven RP.

At the same time you'll probably have to give up some stuff and swallow some pride cause let's face it, you're on the losing side.
