New Arab Republic

 

As the cold up lifted from Egypt, Governor Ahmed Salame expands the farming region towards the greenlands near the river Nile.(3 pages) The casualities from this deadly winter took many from the New Arab Republic, the morale was low but Ahmed walked out into the streets for a rally cry that their spirits is not broken and the Egyptian Gods renewed the NAR. The population began to repopulate what they lost, and the streets was filled with life.

 

A exhibition towards the river nile to uncover ruins and secrets from the past. They were supplied with plenty of food, water and camels. These people were chosen with best swimming skill and survival skill.

 

 

Scouts: The Ethiopian Kingdom

 

A small pack of robed men with wrapped covered the entire face, only a large gap for the eyes to see. They rode on camels, armed with their scimitars and rusty Ak-47. The scouts did not expect to find any survivors with strange colour skin tones and clothing. The scouts replied they are not traders but scouts, and they would like to visit the Ethiopian king.

The Republic of Arminius

Once news of the train spilled over into the mainland, the people of the Republic were furious. However, only so much could be done. A group of roughly 15,000 men were loaded onto trains and sent to the colonial city of Hansehof, deep in the controlled areas of the Republic. However, as these troops begin to march off, many worried if they would ever see the beautiful forests and rivers of the Republic again. Soon, the army would reach the Alps, then the first of five strongholds of the Swiss Republic. 

 

 

The other train, attacked by the Swiss Republican Army, was quickly derailed. It killed colonists and soldiers alike. However, on board some 600 men were still alive and ready to fight. They quickly took defense positions opposite the ambushing Swiss forces, holding out in the smoldering ruins of the train. Dozens of men died, the mountain snow and winds clawing at the Legion. One tank was disabled using an RPG-7, however the advance was closing in on the Legion. Their fate was yet to be seen.

 

 

In the meantime, another expeditionary force of almost 5,000 men moves out into Bavaria, raiding the lush fields of crops and such. Soon, the army would reach Munich, a ruin which was once one of the finest cities in the Old Empire. As winter became spring, the siege would begin. Five howitzer artillery pieces are stationed around the city, bombarding the entire enemy position. The outcome of the battle was unknown.

 

 

The construction of almost a dozen new factories, each with a watermill for electricity, along the Neckar, Moselle, and Rhine Rivers, begins. They are expected to take awhile (3 every 2 pages)

It was over, the screams of the savages breaking through the wall and overrunning the camp seemed as though they could be heard all the way in Kamloops. Only a handful of survivors would remember the siege. The Siege of the Red Plains. The POC did not arrive in time, the Scavenger's aid, too little too late. As their vehicles began to run out of oil, nearly 4,000 Scavengers were killed in the onslaught. It seemed as though the enemy just kept coming,. Nothing could be done. The Savages filled the field with pikes, pikes with the heads and limbs of men resting in the cold Northern winds. The Red Plains had fallen.

Highlands tribe

The diplomat nods being a bit disappointed that the outsiders did not know more, he nods still offering them the supplies they requested.

He storms down to the beach with a smile on his face, and the book he found about radioactivity with him he points at the men with their hazard suits "That is the exact kind of suit there is in this book, that suit should be so called "anti-radioactive."
The king smiles he offers the men the supplies in exchange of their anti-radioactive suits, he would just need a few, due to he himself already having the material to make more, he would just need the schematics of the suit.

Yukon Republic

 

Word reached the republic's ears of hordes of barbarians pouring in from Alaska, and the Yukon discreetly retreated to within it's borders. For now the barbarians hordes were ignoring the republic, but that could not last. The YPA is armed with new c17 assault rifles, and they garrison the armed Town-Forts of the Yukon. The Yukon mountaineers patrol the wild on ATV's and small but sturdy horses.

 

Not willing to risk it, gold and mine workers are with held from heading south to the Neo-Mounties, to many barbarians blocked the way. A small detachment of the Yukon mountaineers head south, to get a feel for what was really happening in the south. Mine are being established, and roads come with it, to ensure fast transportation. Mainly gold, coal, and iron mines, they are jealously guarded by the YPA and Mountaineers.

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk

 

After speaking with the Icelandic Queen, most of the Gothi head back, with one remaining behind, along with ten or so of the sailors, to spread the Gothic Faith, and learn more about the language and society of the Icelandic peoples. The rest of the party arrive back in Nuuk, and inform the High Gothi and the head Gothi of the other temples of their findings, of the Horned Men of Iceland, showing them the distance on the created map of the south of Greenland and the newly discovered Iceland. The High Gothi, after convening with his contemporaries, decide upon creating an expedition to Iceland with the sole purpose of converting it's populace, before any agreements were made with the tribe. They couldn't be seen by the gods to be conspiring with heretics and heathens, after all. Each of the temples' second-in-commands are chosen to be sent, along with building supplies for a decent sized shrine to Kesuroth, and accompanied by an honour guard of 25 of the best warriors that Nuuk had to offer. The "crusade" is prepared and sets off, and will arrive in Iceland in approximately 4 months. ((2 pages)) 

 

   On a more domestic matter, a portion of the expanded port is reserved for a project conducted by the Blacksmiths of Bregthor. The creation of a steel-clad longboat, fitted with 8 cannons (3 per broadside, 1 rear, 1 front), and much larger than even a Skeid at around 50 metres long, begins. It is estimated that this new type of ship, called the Soknbatr, will take at least a year to complete. ((6 pages))

The Ethiopian Kingdom

 

The Ethiopians work hard on their craft. Advanced boats & weaponry come to the market and more people are hired in the royal factory. The Mehal Sefari had muskets already, but with the aid of salvage & research the muskets became more accurate. The bullets seemed easy to make, and with the Iron mine becoming almost stable in its first tunnel more bullets can be forged. Expected is that soon the musket will be accurate and more lethal, but the slow reloading remains to haunt the people with those weapons ((3 pages))

 

Meanwhile, training for the Mehal Sefari continue. They survive in harsh climates as they learn to shoot better, faster and more tactical. The elite 400 do not have rest, and are feared by the Ethiopian people. However, they do feel safe with those high trained soldiers protecting them.

 

The inspiration of the windmill passed over to the local farmers, the coastal villages start making watermills with salvaged generators. With cables they connect it to the windmill grid, and inform Haile Selassie of their attempts. Expected is that the first mill will work functional soon ((1 page p/Mill, in total of 5).

The people continue to work as the island gains more land to build on, more structures are build with ships. The fishing ship in Iran retreats to the island, but is immidiatly send south.

I am unfortunate to say that I do not suggest that you move further south, savage wilds haunt those lands. And I do not wish your blood to be spilled on African sands.

 

We can offer you many items. Preferably coal, lumber & iron. However, we also would like to side with you in creating energy for both our blessed nations. Perhaps reviving some factories together would be sufficient? Also, feel free to let your traders use our market stands.. Or people would be highly interested in foreign products, and perhaps you could benefit from our trade as well."

Kingdom of Ayutthaya

 

[Vietnam]The Second Royal Thai Expedition forces would suffer heavy causalities, losing around three hundred men while barely killing any of the aggressors.. Retreating to Thai held-laos, they recuperate from their losses. King Hiroshashi issues a direct commendation to the men for their bravery, and sents his condolences to the families of the men lost with handwritten letters. A remembrance by candlelight is held in Ayutthaya, as three hundred lotuses are released to the Mekong River. King Hiroshashi decides it was wiser to leave this barbarians alone for now. 

 

[Yunnan] The Third Royal Thai Expedition Forces and the Colonists would move north, heading to Yunnan to colonize the territory instead as they are bested by the Hoshuu Republic at Vietnam.  The First Royal Thai expedition Forces are sent to assist then[ Mod action required]

 

[ Hoshuu Republic] The emissary .team report the news to King Hiroshashi, who is quick to dispatch the Royal Emissary to meet with the Hoshuu republic while bringing gifts. [ Can take to Pms if you want]

 

[Laos] The area is successfully colonized, as flags of the Ayutthaya kingdom are hoisted throughout the lands.  

 

[Kingdom Actions] The shipyard, Corvette ship and recruitment of the Fourth and Fifth Expedition armies are completed. The two divisions are stationed at Ayutthaya. 

 

King Hiroshashi frowns as he receives word of the shortage of natural resources. After a moment of deliberation, the King orders for the search of Coal. Gold,Iron and precious stones mines through Thailand. [Mod Required]

 

King Hirosashi would also sent engineers to investigate the Trans-Malaysian-Thailand Railway, monitoring the damage and searching for any remaining locomotives that could be used in the future. [Mod Required]

 

 

 

The Kingdom continues to prosper overall, trade between cities and towns increasing in frequency as the Thai culture spreads ever further throughout the Kingdom. Small Temples and altars dedicated to Buddhism begin to spread out from the Capital. The coasts of the kingdom of Ayutthaya would have thriving fishing and trading villages, wooden ships carrying local goods swiftly travel  throughout the coastline. 

 

[Edited in] A trading/Emissary Fleet of wooden galleys is levied at Bangkok, as the sailors would prepare for the long journey ahead, stocking up food that can last for months and fresh water. The sailors would boast that they will be sailing to the Suez canel, to investigate and open new trading routes going there.

The Scavengers : Maine

The leader of the hunting party turns to the wolves, eager to fight them, gun in hand... "Wait till I give the signal... then sh-"

A wolf lunges at him and his weapon explodes with a bullet, soon every hunter opens fire and the wolves drop dead, whimpering in pain. More howls erupt in the forest around the group and they begin to pick up one dead wolf each... they'd have some meat, bones, and pelts to bring home. The group hurries through the forest as quickly as they can... the fort finally coming into view. Wolves erupt from the forest behind them but the watchmen already spotted them, dropping the beasts as soon as they reach the edge of the forest. The hunting party makes it home safely, with pelts for clothing, bones for tools, and meat for food.

The Scavengers: Boston.

The Scavengers begin to fill their rucksacks with the books they have found... even the civil war books. This important find on hydroelectricity will be delivered to home-base with the next trip back up North. This being their last run before the delivery it was an extremely lucky find. Slowly the Scavengers came out of the ruins of the Boston Public Library and make their way home... the delivery would be sent along with some weapons and ammo found on their last 6 months of scavenging runs.

HORNED MEN OF ICELAND

 

The book found was a major breakthrough, and immediately the library was scanned again for books on the materials needed. Once found, the book showed that the main materials were clay like substances, which needed to be smelted at extremely hot temperatures, volcanic temperatures. Once the materials are created and the generators repaired, it will take more than a year to repair the old electrical grid and give power to the tribe. ((7 pages))

 

The tribesmen were now ready to depart for Denmark and claim land to prove their strength. Of the 48 tribe leaders that met with Queen Amelia to discuss unity, 47 agreed to join if they could take on Europe. The last one - no doubt the largest and strongest of them all - only agreed to join if there was to be a marriage, and if their leader would be the father of the heir to the tribe. This deal is accepted and a wedding ceremony occurs, to which the combined population of the tribes attends. Once the vows are said, the couple leave to continue a tradition of The Horned Men. They go out into the wilderness for two nights, and consummate their marriage on the great Geyser field. The two tribes are now one, and the manpower of the largest tribe on the islands is now combined with the Horned Men.

The Ethiopian Kingdom

 

When the encrazed villagers of the outskirt farming village made the first mill functional, Haile experienced some scary sounds. Afterwards though, lights went on! Several rooms with functional electricity became lighted, with sometimes softer or harder light. But it was... light. The first thing he did was to visit the royal library he was scared to enter due its previous dark state. When he entered, he found many books he would like to read. However, a particular area seemed interesting. "Music". It was a luxury these days, and singing with random instrumental music was not pleasant to hear every day. On the dusty carpet there lay many papers, he picked up one.

 

 

It seemed to be simillair like the papers he found on Bahrain. However, these seemed less primitive. With the Nakhar tribe in mind, he sends a caravan to collect the musicians and bring them back to the palace. Meanwhile, he orders his men to collect as much music as possible, and to learn to practice it. Haile thinks that the practice will be fast, seeing how the tribes remain to play songs of the old. Imagine what he could do, with music. ((2 pages))

 

Meanwhile, the construction of these mill's continue. Selassie wants all of the waterfall to be used to generate electricity. Training continues for the soldiers. People meanwhile find an old lady living in a unique kind of Shack. Seeing how this would be perfect for watery areas, sketches are made and send to Bahrain.

 

The lessons of the children go well, they know how to formally speak like Selassie and how to trade. With more books being printed the talented get them to study at home. However, there is desire for a second machine to lend them to all the children. Especially Geography is importnant to be learned.

 

Life continues in Ethiopia. Question is, how good is the direction they are going?

With the battle going extremely smooth and most the city taken, all troops converge on the city all, it is taken within the next 3 hours as the gang is just over run by shear force. The loot received from the city was a good. A book was discovered on how to make 5.56 ammo, and 2 barrels of oil were found and transported back to Dallas.

  New Haven  

Growth and Development

       Wasting no time, as the storms died off, the encampment of New Haven has progressed to almost a full sized city, claiming most if not all of Pripyat. As the population has grown to nearly 1,200 denizens of the state, over 300 of which are combat trained. With a new assortment of vehicles, mostly broken, they've been sent to be repaired, of which will take approximately a year per vehicle. With the city growing and more lives at stake, the black dry-erase board over the main wall has progressed to "1*", meaning that entrants must state their business before they're permitted within the city.
 

Expansion(Mod Required Actions)

      As the city's plazas become over crowded with denizens, the time has come to expand further into Ukraine's borders. The newest mission is a party of fourteen armed personnel. Their goal is to reach the Kiev Perchesk Lavra, and the Kiev Grand Bell Tower. Upon arrival at the Kiev Perchesk Lavra, half of the fourteen men will disband towards the Kiev Grand Bell Tower in hopes of claiming it. The initial goal is to claim both points-of-interest, station themselves within the buildings, and then attempt expansion upon given the order. The trip to the Kiev Perchesk Lavra should take no longer than three hours, and so the crews have been provided with three ration packs per person.

 

Technology

      With an expansion mission already underway, able engineers have been assigned the task of constructing a fully-functional radio tower, and military pack radios. The primary radio tower should take approximately three years, using the previously found radio system equipment, and it will be situated on the top floor of the Palissya Hotel. Military pack radios will take about a year each, seven currently being set to be built.
 

Search&Rescue(Mod Required Actions)

      After the disappearance of three armed scout-troop members over three years ago, investigation was bound to proceed and has begun. A mission has begun, sending six armed personnel into the tunnels, each armed with modified nail guns. Their goal is to find those who were sent into the metro and retrieve them and their supplies, alive or not. They are weapons free and will fire upon any non-New Haven personnel. Each member of the Search and Rescue crew has been tagged with red bands across their foreheads and right arms as to identify each other. They've been provided with patched Kevlar vests, steel-toe boots, three have been provided with close-quarter shanks, and one has been provided with a battery-operated Walkie-Talkie. They're to remain together at all times unless in combat.

Empire of the Dragon

With word of the Honshu Republic setting up colonies to the south, Su'Zu dispatched a much stronger diplomat retinue. In a show of military prowess, 900 Dragon nights marched with a diplomat. There they make camp at the colonies boundary, while the diplomat and ten Dragon Knights ride towards the colony.

 

With the ending of the winter, a spring muster is called. Now half trained militia bands from all across the Empire headed towards Xi'An. The Imperial Militia would take time to form, but the Dragon Knights and Imperial Auxiliaries were already formed over the winter. It would take some time to muster the militia and gather supplies, but with the Empire's roads would help speed things up.

 

Not trusting the Honshu republic, the eastern coast and southern borders are commissioned to build forts. They would be garrisoned with Dragon Knights and Imperial Militia.

 

Iron and steel mines are established to the north, and the once industrial Inner Mongolia is scavenged for mining and industrial equipment. More advanced siege engines are started in the Imperial gunnery school, and steel balls with incense that generates thick smoke are produced.

 

Any excess steel is made into thick tower shields or the semi auto rifles and it's ammo. Bamboo forest in the empire are expanded, and large amounts of bamboo spears and arrow shafts are made. The small amount of vehicles the Empire has starts to patrol the Empire with Dragon Knights, to help the depleted militia guard the lands.

The Scavengers Of New England: Outpost 3 Hours East of the Ruins Of Red Plains

Gasps of shock filled the air of the Outpost as 5 figures stumbled towards the encampment from the horizon. Three Scavengers, One Neo, and One Canadian. No weapons on them except bloodied crowbars the group finally reached the gate before passing onto the ground. Medics rushed from their tents and hopped over the short wooden walls. The five survivors each got their own medical tent... and in the middle of the night a man gathered the two foreigners... to ask them some questions. The Neo and Canadian sit down in two wooden chairs... in front of them is a short man who seems to be more of a diplomat than a warrior. He asks the survivors some questions and awaits there answers:

"Who are your groups?"
"Are there any survivors besides the three of our own that you arrived with?"
"Where are your groups?"
"Can we contact them?"

News of the results of the battle had not yet reached the tip, but they were busy with their own events. 

 

The Party Reaches The Harbor:

They begin to comb the harbor for any working boat and search a beached cargo ship for food, weapons, and any thing else of value. ((Mods Do They Find Anything))

 

The Census has been completed:

A total of 400,000 people in total dwell in the Tip. Almost all of them will be trained in basic combat within the following years ((will take 4 pages to amass a standing army and 2 pages to train all civilians in basic combat)). After gathering a workforce they have 399,000 capable labour (farming, lumber, hunting, engineering, construction etc). The final governmental reforms are being put in place to make the tent city and its outposts less of a chaotic survivor group and more of a nation.

The New Norwegian Kingdom

 

In Bodø‎, the coal power plant is finished, and after a few months of testing, it is declared operational. Cables start to be placed throughout the city, and soon most buildings will have power. The Royal Palace is lit up in an augurational ceremony where King Olav VI celebrates the bringing back of electricity to the nation, or well, so far, just the capital.

Considering the 2nd failure at deep-sea repairs, a new way of going about this was needed. A massive scavenging and exploring group is mustered, 1,000 men and women who had been promised lower taxes and good pay depending on what they found. They are sent East, West and North, a big part of them sent to the city of Trondheim, which was said to be abandoned though relatively intact because of it's distance from the coast. Hopefully good technology or knowledge will be acquired from the city, considering it used to home several large and good universities. The scavenging groups are told to focus on anything considering oil rigs and deep-sea diving or submarines, anything that could be of use to fix the rig.

 

King Olav VI also commissioned the construction of a new district in Bodø‎, an industrial district. So far it would only consist of one factory, which will produce ammunition for the cannon aboard the navy's single corvette, and for the army's HK416s, rusty but still functional. Hopefully the nation won't have to worry about how many clips it has left for a while, or at least in a few months ((5 pages)) when the factory's finished.
