Yukon Republic

The soldiers infected by the allied POC volunteered to hold the narrowest point of the mountain pass. Two hundred men, they lasted two minutes against the full onslaught of the allied attack, but they were not there to win. Bottling the troops up, the Yukon mountaineers in the mountains blow charges, bringing an avalanche down on the forward allied elements. Killing the two hundred Yukon men, and nearly six hundred allied troops, they also blocked the mountain pass with a wall of rubble and boulders. The mountaineers retreated deep within the mountains, back to their camps, and had bought time for 4,000 more YPA to be rushed to the fort with more ammo and weapons.

The canadian captured and wounded were chained together, and then chained to the forts gates and breaches, creating a shield and making allied troops waste ammo if they fired upon their own men. Teams devoted to stamping out fires succeeded for the most part, and Yukon long spear and pike inits held the breaches with the Alaskan's. The mountaineers in the fort sniped from towers and buildings, shooting for officers and heavy weapon crews, while assault rifle armed YPA held the walls and cut down the waves of allied troops. The Yukon light artillery bombarded areas where it would seem the allied forces were about to carry a breach, killing many, until they ran dry. Now it was up to the Alaskan and YPA to hold the fort with their lives. The mountaineers in the mountains mainly stayed behind in the pass, harrying any supply and reinforcement columns moving up, while a force of three hundred waited in the crags near the battle for the fort.

REINO DE NUEVA HABANA

The siege of Nueva Habana continues to rage on as cannon and rife fire descends on the barbarian army.

Meanwhile, on the continent, soldiers discover an old Federation military base. Most if not all of the weapons seem to have been taken long ago, but detailed plans for Federation LCS ships are found, copied, and stored for the future.

gg1kjnP.jpg

The actual forces of the military, while finding few barbarian soldiers, stumble upon the bastion of La Victoria, old capital of the Federation. As they approach, smoke can be seen rising from within. A large flag is raised, and a bugle sounded to signal to any survivors inside.

The Union's ship is stopped in San Fernando and told of the siege of Havana. The agree to trade sugar, tobacco, and rum for the goods they have with them. They also offer continued trade of cotton and gunpowder for coal and iron or steel with the Union. Once again, they offer a defensive pact with the Union and joint control of the Mississippi river. Furthermore, they wish to formulate an official map of the region between the two, and tell of the lands to the South-West which the Cubans have taken to calling Veracruz. They wish to know what lands the Union has discovered in recent years.

Sikh Confederacy

Makul looked upon the borders of the Sikh Confederacy. It had begun. The Triple Alliance of Kashmir, Greater Nepal, and Maharashtra declared war upon the Sikh Confederacy. Prior to the war, the Sikh's mobilized to form an army of 215,000 men with 35,000 in reserve. However some of these lacked proper guns. Because of this, Makul ordered a sweep of the nation to find old weapon stores, both from the Kalat Empire and the old nation of India that was alive before the Last War. They found some Kalat weaponry, and some old un-usable broken Indian weaponry. However, Sikh engineers said that, given time, they could replicate it to provide new guns for Sikh troops. ((5 pages))

eJ0ftgL.png

 Maharashtra Front

Maharashtra was the largest of the Sikh enemies, with it's capitol in far-away Mumbai, and it shared the most extensive border with the Sikh Confederacy. Because of this, 4 Sikh Armies were assigned to this sector. Mahar troops, who had been taught that the Sikh's were power-hungry barbarians, assumed that they could easily attack, since the Sikh's were on multiple fronts.

The Mahar 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Armies attacked the Sikh 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th armies in an all-out assault. The Sikh 6th and 7th armies had little to no modern weaponry, much to their dislike, which made it hard to defend. To solve this, the Sikh's dug in on the Sabarmati river, which made it very difficult to attack. The Sikh 5th and 4th armies defended with ease, driving off Mahar attackers, and after, even getting the green-light on a counter attack to take the pressure off of the Sikh's further south. The assault succeeded, and although with heavy casualties, the Sikh's took up new positions on the Banas river in Maharashtra, planning to dig in and hold the front for as long as possible.

Nepalese Front

The nation of Greater Nepal was dangerously close to New Delhi, and because of this, prior to the war the Sikh's had worked on turning the whole salient into a fortress, with mines, trenches, and anything else. This salient was manned by 2 Sikh Garrisons, altogether consisting of 40,000 troops. The Nepal 2nd and 3rd Armies, supported by Maharashtra's 4th Army, assaulted these garrisons. Sikh troops defended furiously, and when Mahar troops ran into the minefields, they were quickly turned around. Nepalese troops were less willing to retreat, but after careful inspection, Nepalese Generals found that it would be impossible to assault without disastrous casualties.

But Nepalese Generals worked out a way to solve the problem, by advancing further north with the Nepal 1st Army, to come up on the northern flank of the Sikh 1st Garrison, and dislodge them from their positions. It was slow, but eventually Nepalese troops, along with the help of the Kashmir 4th Army, took up positions on the Sikh's northern flank. However, Nepalese troops were too tired from the initial offensive to carry out a new one right away. This would give the Sikh's time to build up defenses on the new northern threat.

Kashmir Front

The battle against the troops of Kashmir would prove to be the most disastrous for Sikh troops. This shocked Sikh Generals, who assumed with Kashmir being the smallest nation in the war, they would be less of a threat, therefore the Sikh's stationed more men on the Maharashtra Frontier. It would prove a big mistake. Kashmir troops fought with determination, driving Sikh troops from their positions quickly.

Eventually the Kashmir advance grew out of control, the Kashmir 2nd and 3rd Armies spear-heading the offensive. But a Sikh counter-attack soon forced them to stop their advance, in the process preventing Kashmir troops taking Islamabad, which would prove disastrous to Sikh morale. However the counter-attack did little but stop Kashmir, Sikh troops hardly regaining any territory. Sikh Generals looked upon the fronts in awe. This was to be a much harder war then the one against the Kalat Empire, that was for sure.

The Scavengers Of New England

Red_corsairs_emblem_by_steel_serpent-d3a

The Siege had been droning on for awhile before the shots rang out from the forest. The warrior king of the Scavengers wasn't an idiot... he knew reinforcements would be coming soon. All 5 cavalry cars were sent north to harry reinforcements. 50 Gwaii Tribesman from the Canadian Force were brought along, and 150 Scavengers marched to war. The small force begins to scourge the area, spotting pockets of Yukon and Alaskan reinforcements to the north in the mountains. The 3 off road terrain vehicles that the force had in their possession was sent to battle while the remaining forces rained fire into the reinforcements, before the vehicles and force dispersed as quickly as they came. The reinforcements of Yukon and Alaska were pestered with small, but lethal attacks in the North, holding them to the northern from to keep them from advancing and attacking. After numerous small skirmishes the Allied Force would hope to dwindle down the bigger but still small force of Yukon and other men who are trying to reinforce the Northern Front and flank the Allied-Forces. They scorch the forests with flames, the Gwaii tribesman lay traps that could kill a man instantly, spiked pits, swinging nail hammers, falling boulders, and simple noose snares now littered the burning country-side, all the while the small force of car cavalry and soldiers still harrying the reinforcements, hoping to dwindle them down to nothing with repeated, quick, small attacks.

The Mining colony had been finished and it was in full swing. Copper, zinc, and granite now were being transported about the Landholdings and deep inside the forges of the the mining colony, now known as New Callahan, tin cans were being melted down by the thousands... as canned food had for a long time been the basis of all Scavenger's diets. The tin was then fused in with molten copper and a few other minerals... finally forming bronze. Bronze weapons were now being produced in the mining colony, on assembly forges. 60 Bronze Spear Heads, 100 Bronze Arrows, and 20 Bronze swords were being produced (every 2 pages).

Mouth Of The Hudson River: Just off the coast of the Atlantic

A new settlement is in the works, becoming a small port town off the coast of the Atlantic. Work on the settlement continues and it is dubbed "Blue-Town". The Scavengers who dwell here dress in blue and are the sailors of the Faction. They are working on cutting down trees and gathering other resources to start New England's Standing Navy (1 large ship will be built in 4 pages). The Union will pass through this port town every time they travel out of the Hudson, leading to more trading opportunities and a chance for a small city to start up. life-spanish-discovery.jpg

The Tri-Alliance of the West

As the battle rages on in the Red Plains, a group of 250 men from each faction are sent north into the forests. Most of which are stealth oriented Haida Gwaii. There, they spread chaos and destruction, doing everything they can to impede the advance of the Alaskan troops.

Burning-forest-picture-2-1-.jpg

They scout the enemies direction and torch the forests, scorching the land and it's natural supplies, as well as attempting to burn and damage their soldiers and equipment.

Additionally, all thick ice floes are shattered, making it hard or impossible for the Alaskan army to cross the rivers to their destination.

Food and weapons caches are also targetted. The goal being not to steal, but to destroy. Through use of fire arrows, torches and molotovs, the sneak force would endeavor to destroy all the sustenence that keeps the enemy alive.

Kamloops, BC

It has been a month since they army originally left the capital. Reinforcements are sent. Of the total 40,000 Armed Neo Mounties, 5000 are dead, and 7000 fight alongside their allies in Red Plains.

10000 more Mounties are sent northwards, leaving 20,000 guarding the homeland. They march for the Red Plains, avoiding narrow passes and taking the high ground whenever possible. It was only a matter of time before they got there.

((1 page to get to Red Plains, feel free to extend if unreasonable.))

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The Frontlines

In the Red Plains, the war rages on.

The Tri-Alliance continues it's plan of making the Alaskan forces isolated in their fort fight three battles at once.

From the west, volley after volley of fire arrows are shot over the walls, aiming to keep the enemy busy putting out the hazardous flames.

The southern front retreats into the trees and trenches and exchange shots with their enemies in the fort, as well as bombarding them with the makeshift artillery similar to the kind the Alaskans have, hoping that their greater quantity of ammo, and the distraction of the fires to the west will them them the war of attrition in this front.

The East seems to be doing much the same as the west, but they fire more conservatively and show their faces less often. They were guarding something...

trebuchet.jpg

The construction of the trebuchet had begun. This siege weapon had been used before in the Mounties battles of the past, but it was not mobile, and had to be made on the spot of the battle. The east front guards it's construction.

The final POC barrel is buried underground, to be uncovered when the Trebuchet is complete.

((half a page for full construction. again, mods can change this if they think it's unreasonable.))

Yukon Republic

((The reinforcements already made it to the fort, I'm not to sure how you attacked mythical reinforcements who already arrived. And keep note this fort is in your lands, guarding the entrance into ours, preventing forces from swinging around unless going around the whole mountain track.))

The Yukon forces held steady on the walls and in the breeches, firing only when it counted to conserve ammo. The fire teams were doubled to help combat the fire, and the Yukon expected them to run out of shafts eventually.

The Yukon mountaineers left in the pass laid out long lines of explosive mines and detonated the tops of mountains, causing avalanches to block many tracks. Along with small sniper teams, the mountaineers were expected to considerably slow down any reinforcements. The three hundred in the mountains moved to another position, and waited.

The eastern gates open, and a mass of nearly one thousand men pour out, herded forward by their Yukon captators. Blind folded and utterly confused, the Canadian prisoners are shepherded into the jaws of the eastern front, taking all the bullets for the 9,000 Yukon men coming in behind them. Once the Yukon reaches the east with little casualties, they would open fire with fully automatic weapons, killing many, before guarding the flanks as the pike and sword regiments charged in.

The Zulu

Shaka looked upon his newly conquered territories of the tribes that agreed to bend their knee to his power. The possibilities became endless as his Impi regiments advanced into the surrendered ruins of cities of Central South Africa. However his eyes turned to the piece of the puzzle which was missing, South Africa's western coast. He had given them their warning to lay down arms and submit but no more would that be allowed after their defensive union. They would be smashed beneath the Zulu's might.

The head military Izdunas of the Zulu military believed that the Western Cape holdouts were gathering most of their resources from the Northern Cape so the army would begin their march into the lands. An additional order given to them would be to dismantle any wooden structures and forcefully disarm any foreign tribal warrior with a wooden weapon and return the materials back to the mainland.

As the military operations underwent on the battlefield back in the mainland things flourished. Food was plentiful with the local wildlife unaffected by the winter weathers in South Africa. Clean water also flowed through close by streams. The Zulu would use this for clothes washing, drinking, and fishing.

Many years ago the people of Zulu had discovered something within the old docks of South Africa. Observations and studies begin upon the object, including the weapon on it in hopes it could be salvaged to use and create additional designs like it.

Meanwhile in the mines, a new kind of ore is discovered. After being tested for durability it is determined to have the power to finally breach into the locked military fortress, The workforce prepares as they experiment by attaching to to a large drill controlled by manpower.

The Second Siege of The Red Plains

The Yukon forces make it to the fort, however roughly 500 of them get caught in the RPG-7 fire, combined with assault rifle fire. The reinforcements are also exhausted, meaning they would be poor in a fight and inaccurate for some time (5 posts from this one). In the meantime, Alaskan forces continue to hold back the Northern Allied forces, their own machine guns ripping some of them apart. However, ammo soon runs dry.

The Alaskan and Yukon forces are soon to fall, the fortifications slowly running out of ammo. The Northern Alliance may be able to seize the opportunity and assault the fort. However, the officers must be willing to lose at least 2/3rds of their forces and possible damage the oil wells to the point of ill repair.

The Tri-Alliance

The Final Decision.

In the gritty trenches, a grim war council is held.  Warrior King of the Scavengers, Deputy Commander of the Mounties, and The Leader of the Travois are present.

"Gentlemen, we stand to win this battle. And furthermore, win this war."

"At what cost?"

"A great one."

"They have no more ammo, they stand on their last leg. With one last push, and our trump card, we can end this."

"The POC will kill our men, too."

"We understand this, Travois. Sacrafices must be made."

"Do we tell the men?"

"Yes, not one isn't afraid to die for the greater good."

"So be it. This ends tonight."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And so the war would come to an end. The trebuchet is completed, the POC barrel hurled into the walls of the fort.

Of the remaining 14000 men, 8000 launch a final charge. A crushing blow to the weary and worn down members. They knew they were charging to their deaths. The POC would affect them too.

They would prevent the enemy from escaping by fighting them to the end in a field of poisonous fog. The remainder of the Tri-Alliance army retreats to a safe distance.

The majority stays to make sure every single northern savage dies. They fight until they die in combat, or the POC gas takes them. It was the ultimate sacrafice.

They knew the oil rigs would be damaged, perhaps beyond repairs. But no problem is without a solution.

United Kingdom of Veracruz, Havana, San Fernando, and Panama

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAMkb6QgyMs

The Siege of Havana will go down in the history books as both the death of a nation, and the birth of another. The barbarians were strong, and broke through the outer walls of the city, their cannon and fire destroying many homes and taking ten thousand civilian lives, along with four thousand more loyal soldiers, and Rey Alfonso himself. The sack of the city was a shock to all who were there, and seemed to be the death of a long burning candle.

Soon enough, however, a new light shone through the city, as the Infante quickly took up his new role. Soldiers stormed from the battered walls of the Fortess La Cabana into the city, pushing the bodies of the barbarians into the sea. The entire Aztec host was destroyed, including the third of the fleet which they had stolen along with the great frigate. Only half as many ships were lost on the Spanish-speaking side, yet another of the great frigates included; only one remains in their hands.

The entire Aztec army completely destroyed, the thirty-thousand man army on the continent moves to solidify control of everything east and south of what used to be Mexico City to the strait through Panama. A small group is currently scowering the old Federation Capital of La Victoria for tech and weapons. The remaining Aztec civilians are being given the choice to live and work under the kingdom's culture and God, or be put to the sword. Those who choose to live are sent to farm corn in Yucatan, or work in the mines to extract gold, silver, and copper.

Ij44rFh.png

To ensure their cooperation, a military police force called the Tercios has been established. It has started being made up of the soldiers who charged from La Cabana with the Infante to lift the siege of Havana. They act at el rey's eyes and ears, as well as his iron fist. People will learn to fear and respect the Cruz de Borgona.

The Infante decided to move his capital to the old ruin of the city of Veracruz, where he promptly found what was left of the cathedral and had himself crowned king of Veracruz, Havana, San Fernando, and Panama by the priest of Havana, who he promptly crowned Pope in Veracruz, proclaimed head of Christendom. While a surprise, the structure of organized religion is a bright prospect to many within the empire.

In San Fernando, an munitions factory is being built to better utilize the sulfur being extracted from the earth. Hopefully in the future the United Kingdom will have better weapons to fend off invaders.

King George is also eager to unite the land, so bringing up a map given from the outsiders, he declares Scotland united. He do know thats the south is not very inhabitable, but the colonization has begun. he also ones again renamed his nation, this time to the "Kingdom Of Scotland"

Mod Actions

The City State ((Or whatever you're called, it's 2 in the frickin morning.))

As two scouts are walking together outside of camp, in uninhabited territory in the west, something interesting happens. One of the scouts trips, and falls face first into elephant dung. When the other one is done laughing, they realize what this means...

Scotland

The scout mission returns with tales of a ghost town. Through searching libraries in the area, the literate mission head had been able to gain information on the physical composition cloud, however. It was not encouraging. To reverse such damage would require technological and industrial abilities far beyond that of Scotland alone. At the same time, one cloud formation breaks off from the rest, as they often do, and thicker radiation pours down over Scotland as it passes overhead on its way north.

Ethiopia

Contact with Serbia is suddenly lost. The reasons remain unknown. It remains difficult to survive in Scotland, especially with the increased radiation.

Two men exploring the distant African country side find a large settlement in the west, they are waving a brown flag with two crossed swords on it. 20 men march out from the settlement, guns in hand. They point the guns at the men and demand why they are here. The man from the settlement, after hearing the men out says,

"We are the United tribes of west Africa, you run back to Ethiopia and you say to this Ethiopia that we are coming, and we are prepared to burn you to the ground."

Beneath one building, a civilian breaks into a tunnel, seemingly untouched. It goes down, and could hold many things, good or bad...

Russia

From the east, refugees begin to arrive, first in a trickle, then more and more. They can tell their rescuers little, but one thing is clear: something big is out there, and it's getting closer.

The Honshu Republic

bdOPhEP.png

Opposition in Taiwan continues, both sides showing no signs of giving up. But the Honshu still knew that they had a major advantage. Control of the sea meant that they had access to the Republic's vast supplies, meaning that while the Taiwanese whittled away at their own resources, the Honshu could continue to restock. Several raids are conducted as well, each time taking down a significant food or supply storage depot.

Mean while in the newly acquired territories within Australia, drilling and mining operations across the outback begin.

The Sphere of Influence Treaty has finally been completed. Several Honshu officers laugh as one of the terms for Brunei is for a supply of comfort women to be sent to Indonesia as soon as such as supply was available. It would have to stay credited until future conquests however...

After talks with the Thai are complete, it is decreed that a portion of currently colonized Laos/Cambodia would be ceded, in exchange for a currently secretive payment. Meanwhile, three islands, two of which were formerly Malaysia, and one which was a small Philippine island, are colonized. Preparations for drilling of oil in the region begins.

[Map below shows lands currently owned by the Thai in southeast Asia, as well as the colonized islands.]

KEmQFQR.png

Forts continue construction in the Korean and mainland Asian colonies. The training of the Honshu armies also continue, expecting some sort of attack. Word of a power within Manchuria comes to the attention of the Republic, and fortifications are also built within Manchu settlements.

-=-

In secret, the Honshu Republic has also supplied the Australian Confederacy with resources and goods to settle the east of the Red Sea. This colony would officially be under Australian control, however it would be supplied by Honshu stockpiles.
