Wilson shook his head at the man,

"Looks like greed or power has taken this man over."

Wilson shakes his head as he moves over to the crowd, placing his hand on his sword.

He remained quiet, he would only speak if he was asked a question.

"Men this is ridiculous! I will gladly sample the wine, although I must admit I've never actually sampled it. The captain so far has been the only one to taste it. Who's to say the wine wasn't poisoned by another? You may be sending me to my death!" Ramyr smiles slightly, quite glad the he'd chosen a particular poison that he had an immunity to. "I will drink my wine. Wish me luck! Any who wish to join me may follow." Ramyr leads them to his bedroll and finds the cask sitting there. "Here it goes." Rampur takes a large gulp. Nothing occurs.

((You have an immunity to the poison? That's a bit far fetched, I'm putting an end to that.))

As Ramyr leads the men to his wine casket, Ser Torrhen and a compliment of sailors would see two dots on the horizon. As everyone else bickered and argued, those few would shout out in alarm. Cursing, Jonathan shouts.

"Ramyr we'll deal with this later. Everyone, get your armor on and weapons out! From what I can tell they're pirates and thankfully not Ironborn reavers, but it'll still be a close call. Anyone with a bow climb the mast, and get ready to shoot the pirates. Everyone else line up with the sailors, we all fight."

Jonathan runs below deck, as everyone scrambles about to their stations. He locks the door behind him, and straps on his plate armor. Coming back above deck, he's satisfied with the sailors response. Archers were all up the mast and in elevated positions, while sailors were lined all along the ship. Typically armed with maces, boat hooks, hatchets, and daggers, the sailors were an experienced crew.

It was obvious the pirates would catch up to the burdened pink maiden, and it was only a matter of time until boarding action took place. Jonathan unsheathed his sword and stood silent by the wheel, grimly staring at the nearing pirate ships.

((You're completely right, I was kind of in a rush when I wrote it. You can confront me again. I'll think of a different way out of it. :) ))

Ramyr rushes to the Pink Maiden's side, glad to be forgotten for a bit. He draws his shortsword and dagger, prepared to buy his way out if need be. Money is the key to escape all trouble, he muses.

Wilson cuses, climbing the mast, he pulls out his new longbow.

He draws an arrow, and notches it, he awaits for the sight of a Pirate to fire his arrow.

"Aye, John, tell me when to fire, I guarantee a hit!"

Wilson smiles, awaiting a good fight to come!

Chad ties his crossbow to his back and starts climbing the mast after Wilson, tying himself onto it to remain stable. He starts to load his crossbow, eyes fixed at the sails in the horizon.

Hugh curses under his breath. Bloody Pirates, he had not expected that a night in. The voyage wasn't even a few days in and he'd danced with a Tyrell, found out the captain had been poisoned and was now dealing with bloody pirates! Taking several deep breaths, he forced himself to remain calm and keep a cold calculative face. After-all it was time he tested his mettle. He glanced to Ramyr, as he made his way to the side of the ship. He couldn't afford to trust that one at that time but he wanted to think the man hadn't simply murdered the captain.

Then he thought to himself about the fact he was becoming already too involved in his epic. In fact, he probably wouldn't finish it if he had a crossbow discharged in his face by a pirate in due course. He backed off from the first row of sailors taking several steps back and drawing his longsword. He watched the pirate vessels grow larger, he could swear he could make out the leering faces of the enemy.

He yelled to Jonathan  "Shall I give a war-song to inspire the men?"

Rickard runs to Jonathan's side, gripping his sword. He looked to him then around him, noting all the men wearing armour. Either he was the fool or they were - but if thy went overboard he wasn't going to die, that's for sure.

"I've got your back if you've got mine mate." He taps Jon on the shoulder, grinning before passing him some wine.

"Here, you can't go into battle with an empty liver!"

Before Noach could go below deck, he finds himself blocked by Jonathan Flowers.

"Everyone fights, or everyone dies. Take this, and climb the mast."

A sailor hands Jonathan a cross bow, and Jonathan promptly shoves it and a quiver into Noach's hands. Jonathan then joined the line of sailors, mouthing a silent prayer to the drowned god. Hearing the offer to strike up a tune, he says.

"Yes play us a song, but when the pirates near join the line."

Taking a swig of Rickard's wine, Jonathan grinned wolfishly.

"Aye let us get each other's back, this will be a tough fight."

The chase continued for three more hours, the pirates steadily gaining on the Pink maiden. At the end of the day, the two ships entered range. A volley from both ships thudded home, sailors and pirates alike dying. The pirates clearly wished to board the sip, and closed the gap. The two pirate ships boarded from west and east, and soon they were storming over boarding ramps and seining in on ropes.

The embattled sailors quickly retaliated, and soon a fighting scrum took place all over the Pink Maiden's deck. Nearly two hundred pirates took on the crew of three hundred sailors, all evenly armed.

Plunging his long sword into the first pirate to gain the deck, Jonathan bashes his shield into the second, throwing the pirate over board.

"TO ME, TO ME!"

As sailors and Rickard rallied to Jonathan, they began to push the pirates to the edge of the deck, before another storming party came aboard. The fighting became brutal.

Chad shows Noach a little smile as he climbs up the mast to join them, muttering in a gruff voice,

"Welcome to the party, son."

As the ships come closer, Chad has to grip onto the mast as a volley zooms by, shaking it ominously. His legs dangling down, he takes aim as the pirates storm the ship, resting his sight on a commander of sorts who had stopped to beckon his men forwards from atop a barrel. Squeezing the trigger, the bolt darted through the air, letting out a dull thud as it lodged into the man's chest, knocking him down and dying. Raising a fist into the air and exclaiming,

"Hah! Got ya smack on target, ya sh*t!"

he started reloading his crossbow, scanning the mass-fight below for a new target.

Rossen Hofer was already prepared he would not unstrap his armour, this situation could happen at anytime. He watches as the crew load their crossbows, then everything went so fast. A valley of dead sailors before his feet by the conflict of the two ships, Rossen had to took cover to dodge these attacks until the pirates boarded the ship.

He charged with the crew to push the pirates, he swings his sword brutally spreading blood onto his face as he deepens to his enemy neck, he bashed his left shoulder to push the pirate down and he stabs the sword down to twist it afterwards. He swings left and right knocking few down. More stormed onto the ship, Rossen charged in shouting. He took down three down, in the stomach, the neck and kneeling one down to chop of his head.

He was not unstoppable, he was grouped on by three pirates. They cut his left arm, Rossen tried to reflect their swords but he was being pushed back in this battle until he was kicked to the ground boards. Rossen slides his right leg to trip one of them down and he continued to reflect their attacks until Rossen gets back-up.

By the time the first storming party was taken care of, Mattias had already received a few wounds. One large cut in the side and another gash running down the side of their face. The only thing they clutched in their hand to defend them-self was a dirk, which had only managed to lightly cut a pirate. All the others-- including that pirate-- had been cut down by a faster acting sailor or man who actually had the guts to kill. As if fate was playing a mean trick on Mattias, a pirate suddenly staggered towards them, already grievously wounded. Mattias began to backpedal, dirk clutched shakily in their hands as the pirate's arm began to move down for a swing. Slamming their eyes shut, Mattias lurched forwards, head turned away as the sickening sound of the dagger entering flesh invaded their ears.

Mattias remained like that a moment, the loss of blood from the cuts making them woozy. After regaining stability, Mattias wrenched the dagger out of the dead pirate's body and let it slide to the deck of the ship.

Victor's eyes flicker awake as he hears someone panting nervously in his room, and then his senses start to adjust to his room and hears the sound of a battle. Drawing his blade slowly out of his scabbard, he cautiously goes to the source of the panicking person in his room and finds a cabin boy nearly pissing himself in fear. Victor looks down at the boy slight annoyance and motions outside the door and whispers "Any out there?" The boy shakes his head nervously and scrambles away from Victor. Victor's head then jerks quickly to the sound of shrill scream that was too close for Victor's comfort. Leaving the cabin boy behind he starts to crouch muffling the sounds of his movements, Victor makes his way around the ship's corridor, and sees someone butchering down an other man at the deck stairs. Ducking behind cover, Victor deducts that the man is obviously hostile. Grabbing an unused lantern beside him, he tosses it out towards the pirate attempting to distract him and as glass shards glitter the ground, Victor dashes out from his cover, and swings downward, the blade sliding through the pirate's shoulder and going through his neck, nearly decapitating him.

Looking up at the stairs, Victor sees an other pirate that has just witnessed Victor killing his comrade and rushes down the stairs. The Pirate swings down just as Victor did with the other pirate, but Victor was prepared and parried the upward blow and with the momentum he followed through with a shoulder bump, making the pirate nearly flip backward. Victor then takes advantage of the pirate trying to get up and rushes forth ramming his sword through the pirate's stomach.

Twisting his blade free from the pirate's stomach, Victor makes his way up the stairs and curses horribly as he sees the situation. Reacting quickly he rushes forth to aid the sailors and Jonathan's group but sees Rossen being ganged by pirates and rushes over. Taking one pirate by surprise he swings his sword sideways and lodges it in the pirate's torso, Victor then grabs the sword of the pirate he just killed and sees the other pirate charging at him, swinging his sword down at Victor. Raising his blade upward at an angle the pirate's sword is deflected as it slides off the edge of Victor's sword, he rips his dirk free from his waist with a free hand and rams it through the pirate's stomach while the pirate was trying to recover from the parry. Leaving the dirk there, he looks over at the other Pirate that got tripped by Rossen but then sighs seeing as the pirate scrambled away from Victor in fear.

Giving a helping hand to Rossen he says "A group of pirates from the other ship managed to gain some ground, rally some sailors, we need to fight them back or else they'll get in behind the other battle line!" With that he rushes towards the pirates dragging sailors along to help him.
