The Battle For Leanniel

Huge flashes and booms ring out over the treeline of Leanniel, strange shapes flitting through the trees, and men tromping around on the forest floor. Swords clash with metallic clangs, golden and black magics meet in the air with surreal hissing blasts, leaving scorches on the ground in their wake. Cloaked figures move with silent intent from tree to tree, and each they touch lashes out at an unwary man below, silencing him with a gurgling cry. As the day wears on, reinforcements from both sides join the fray, running at the call of the noble Lances or the dreaded Scourge to fight in the name of their gods, each seeking control of the valley of the elves. The sun slowly drags over head, the warfare below sporadic and chaotic as each side seems to gain the upper hand, only to lose ground to the latter later on. 

 

As day turns to night, it seems that the cultists of the Scourge are the victors, though many a harbinger has fallen to the weapons of the defenders. Unbeknownst to the apparent victors, however, eyes watch from the trees. The battle is far from over. Horns sound sporadically from the different sections of the small forest as defenders well hidden plan their next move. The battle for Leanniel has begun.

 

 

It has been decided that over the course of the coming days, multiple battles will take place to decide the fate of the woodlands. We're Going to hold a string of events and activities over the next few days, so stay tuned!

((Haadi was the first one to go down, lol. I didn't catch the rest of it, but I'm sure there were others.))

( Haadi isnt a harbringer. He has a totally different character for that. :p The only harbringers there were goldrim, kahzo and crayfishchris. the rest were cultist and all survived since we all returned to the manor right after. )
