Kaila sits before the altar of the creator, remembering the words her teacher showed her. She had progressed far on her own, being able to heal not only the physical, but also the mental injuries, helping those injured. Bound by her oath, she healed, going further and soon matching the strength of even the best clerics. Her faith is what guided her, and her creator blessed her with the magic that has healed her soul. The magic that started with Toov has grown from what he had originally planned, soon expanding to what it is today.

 

About the Creator

 

The Creator is a being that has watched over the Human lands for centuries. He watched as the land became hard and wars break out. The first person he granted his gift to was a white rose by the name of Toov. Although he did not plan for his gift to go far, he kept it locked and very minute. Slowly, more began to learn his magic and the possibility in a few of the Clerics he had granted his gift to. Through prayer, he blessed them with more, so long as they stayed on the path of light and away from the path of darkness. Now, long after the beginning with Toov, his gift has grown in the clerics he has created now. Their magic is now more powerful.

 

How to Progress

 

Getting Started - In order to start being a Creator Cleric, you /must/ believe in the Creator. This seems like a no brainer. You must connect to him, bestow all your belief in him and pray. Prayers must be from the heart and you must connect to him spiritually. Once deemed worthy, you will soon have your own healing light. The first connection is usually the hardest and most straining, often leaving the cleric weak and tired. This is to be expected until you flex that magical muscle.

 

First Stage - After making a connection a creator cleric can finally start healing. Wait, dont go too fast. The healing progresses slowly and takes much energy at this time. You may heal small surface cuts and minor first degree burns at this stage. The magic is still very new and takes a lot of effort to put through. At this time it takes time to gain the light of healing and a prayer may not be just enough. As you progress you may soon be able to heal minor cuts and sooth the mind of mildly aggravated individuals.

 

Second Stage - By this stage, you can heal paper cuts without a second glance. You can heal larger cuts and scrapes and fully heal minor burns and stings, soothing aggravated sores and infections. As time passes the more you can heal. The most you are capable of at this point in time is flesh wounds and larger lacerations. Muscle is still out of the question and trying to heal broken bones will cause you to pass out. By this point you can calm most individuals suffering from immediate mood inhibitors, such as a flash of anger or a sudden drop into depression.

 

Third Stage - By this point muscle is achievable but still hard on the user. Minor breaks in bones are also within reach. Deeper cuts now can heal with minimal scarring to the user. Around this time they can also create a “purifying” barrier around them to clear out any impurities in the air (such as smoke). They take less energy to heal injuries and are able to sooth most minds by this point. As they progress by the end of the third stage, they can fully heal large wounds.

 

Fourth Stage - Their magic by now has progressed to being able to heal all wounds to their fullest with nearly no scarring. Muscle is healable and less focus is needed. They can now heal bones well and calm nearly any mental ailment with a few sessions. However, they are drained more with more complex breaks and mental issues. Barriers can now be expanded over several individuals to help purify air. Regenerating limbs is still impossible at this point.

 

Fifth Stage - At the peak of their magic, Creator Clerics can now heal nearly any ailment and injury. Regenerating limbs is within their grasp but costly. A small limb, such as ear or fingers would take little effort whereas arms and legs would take much energy and cost much to the cleric themselves. That being said, regenerating an arm, for example, would be exceedingly debilitating. If one forced themselves to heal such grievous wounds, one might suffer internal bleeding, long-term weakness, or comatose for IRL days or weeks.

 

Limitations

 

- Creator Clerics can not learn War Cleric as they do not draw from the same source as the Tahariel Clerics

- Creator Clerics can not kill. If one is to kill, they stop progressing and actually start to decline in their magic. They must repent with a Holy Head (the heads of the Creator Cleric Guild) to regain their connection.

- Creator Clerics physically decline the more they use the magic. It is a slow process but it is much like Arcane. You will decline physically in health. For how much you heal takes how many years off your life. Each race loses about 1% of their max life span for each Stage 4 or up healing. This means major healing of muscle, major bone healing (such as compound fractures and complex fractures), and all regeneration of limbs.

- Creator Clerics can not learn Arcane Magic anymore. They can learn a new submagic called “Medicinal Magic” to help protect themselves and their patients.

- Creator Clerics must refrain from harming another.

- Creator Cleric magic is Holy Magic. You can not learn Dark Arts.

- You can not resurrect people. This should go without saying.

 

Notes

 

We are aware, OOCly, that the Creator is not an official Patron. This is more to explain to us ICly why we have this magic. This is not stopping other clerics either from having their magic, however this is making Creator Clerics and official locked guild magic. The other clerics can keep their “Creator Cleric” magic that allows them to learn arcane. We are excluding ourselves as a locked official guild magic with our own secondary magic. We are in no way better than the Arcane Clerics (thats your new name you nubs! ^_^ ) or the Tahariel Clerics. We are also no less than the other two.

 

Edits

 

Any edits needed I will add the date and the Forum name of people who see errors or want to add ideas. I would love to see other people’s opinions on this. This is to stop all the snubbing we are getting and separate ourselves from the other “Creator Clerics” that are running around and giving us a bad name.

What'll happen to those of us, who're practically clerics who fight the scourge and Iblees cultists and such? And also, this ruins everything my character believes, my character believes when he connects to the creator he's drawing from Ark'ith.

We are going to try and seperate you to "Arcane Clerics" you can still do healing and arcane. We just want to make something a littler seperate for Creator Clerics ^^

If you no longer have the Arcane thing and now literally follow all the rules the Order Clerics do, couldn't you just use Tehariae?

There is nothing different about this lore, from priest healing, besides the paraphrasing and emoticons. This is the opposite of a solution, you've just made a third clerical subtype.

I am seperating us as non-combative (unlike Tehariae). We are strictly healers, not fighters. We are combining the usefullness of learning arcane spells into holy magic to make a strictly HEALING group. Thus seperate from Arcane Clerics and Tehariae clerics.

 

and yes its a "third" type, in a way. Creator clerics have progressed between your idea of what Creator clerics WERE and what we are now.

 

We have grown from being the flamethrowing clerics and more of a reserved HEALING group. Its not saying we are special, just that we have grown (RPly) from what Toov had created.

If you are still the same as the original term of creator cleric, then, remove tiers four and five, and give actual lore as to why you are different from the clerical order. This is a guide, not lore.

I'll rephrase my original question: would the same effect not be achieved by allowing clerics outside of the Order to align with Tahariae (and follow all the rules that the Order clerics follow when it comes to not killing, not arcaning and being clericy)?

Sadly they are a bit stingy with their magic. We believe in the Creator, that is our thing. However, this is more to still be "creator" clerics and show that we have grown from their /original/ lore. This is to stop the snubbing and the high horse-ness we have been getting.

Just a note to wardog since he has brought it up so many times.

Creator clerics are Cleric Priests with the same exact powers but different alternatives in magic. There no longer are any tiers, but even before creator clerics could be just as strong as healers as the cleric Priest. And even if it wasn't so before, right now it's how it is.

As for what will happen to creator clerics, we are discussing it. Oh, and by the way, the creator clerics that go around killing people, even if cultists, are not suppose to, and are the reason that so much trouble has appeared.

War Cleric remains an Order thing. But Priest Healing's already fairly accessible. It's just changing the source and rules.

Again this isnt making us any majorly different than how it was before other than explaining why we are now different than how Toov originally started it. We believe in the creator and it would make little sense for those of us who have RP belief to suddenly change to the other patron. We are just restricting some of us to be a strictly a healing group. This just puts reason and lore behind what we are doing now versus what was done in the past
