As you enter the Church in the capital city of Oren, a deacon hands you a small booklet and tells you its a book of prayer made for the mass's, a downsized version of the True Scrolls and only containing sample prayers.

Mercy

Almighty and most merciful Creator,

we have wandered and strayed from your ways

like lost sheep.

We have followed too much the devices and desires

of our own hearts.

We have offended against your holy laws.

We have left undone those things

that we ought to have done;

and we have done those things

that we ought not to have done;

and there is no health in us.

But you, O Lord, have mercy upon us sinners.

Spare those who confess their faults.

Restore those who are penitent,

according to your promises declared to mankind

in Horen our Lord.

And grant, O most merciful Creator, for his sake,

that we may live a disciplined, righteous and godly life,

to the glory of your holy name.

So say we all.

The whole universe testifieth to Thy generosity. Have mercy, then, upon me by Thy graciousness, and deal bountifully with me through the power of Thy sovereignty, and suffer me to enjoy near access to Thee by Thy manifold favors. Thou, truly, art the Great Giver, the Almighty, the Ever-Forgiving, the Most Bountiful."

Acknowledgment and Praise

we acknowledge thee to be the Lord.

All the land doth worship thee :

the Creator everlasting.

To thee all Angels cry aloud :

the Heavens, and all the Powers therein.

To thee Aenguls and Daemons:

continually do cry,

Holy, Holy, Holy :

Lord God of Horen;

Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty :

of thy glory.

The glorious company of the Divines: praise thee.

The goodly fellowship of the Prophets : praise thee.

The noble army of Martyrs : praise thee.

The holy Church throughout all the world :

doth acknowledge thee;

The Creator: of an infinite Majesty;

Thine honourable, true : and favored Son;

Also the Holy Light: the Comforter.

Thou art the King of Glory : O Horen.

Thou art the everlasting Son : of the Creator.

When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death :

thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers.

Thou sittest at the right hand of God : in the glory of the Creator.

We believe that thou shalt come : to be our Judge.

We therefore pray thee, help thy servants :

Make them to be numbered with thy Saints : in glory everlasting."

Thy unity is inscrutable, O my God, to all except them that have recognized Him Who is the Manifestation of Thy singleness and the Day-Spring of Thy oneness. Whoso assigneth a rival unto Him hath assigned a rival unto Thee, and whoso hath set up a peer for Him hath set up a peer for Thyself. No, no, none can withstand Thee in the whole of creation. Thou hast everlastingly been exalted far above all comparison and likeness. Thy oneness hath been demonstrated by the oneness of Him Who is the Dawning-Place of Thy Revelation. Whosoever denieth this, hath denied Thy unity, and disputed with Thee about Thy sovereignty, and contended with Thee in Thy realm, and repudiated Thy commandments.

For the dead.

Eternal rest give to him (her), Lord: and let perpetual light shine upon him (her). Offering it in the sight of the Most High.

___

Grant, O God, that while we lament the departure of this Thy servant (handmaid), we may always remember that we are most certainly to follow him (her). And give us grace to prepare for that last hour by a good life, that we may not be surprised by a sudden and unprovided death, but be ever watching, that, when Thou callest, we may, with the Bridegroom, enter into eternal glory: through Horen our Lord.

Before eating.

"Without Thy presence, nought, O Lord, is sweet,

No pleasure to our lips can aught supply.

Whether 'tis wine we drink or food we eat,

Till Grace divine and Faith shall sanctify."

___

By His hand, we are all fed.

Give us Lord, our daily bread.

Please know that we are truly grateful,

For every cup and every plateful.

Guidance

Bless me, heavenly Father,

forgive my erring ways.

Grant me strength to serve Thee,

put purpose in my days.

Give me understanding,

enough to make me kind.

So I may judge all people

with my heart, not my mind.

Teach me to be patient

in everything I do,

Content to trust Your wisdom

and to follow after You.

Help me when I falter

and hear me when I pray,

And receive me in Thy kingdom

to dwell with Thee someday.

For Overcoming Life's Hardships

O Lord, we call upon You in our time of sorrow,

That You give us the strength and will to bear our heavy

burdens, until we can again feel the warmth and love of

Your divine compassion. Be mindful of us and have mercy

on us while we struggle to comprehend life's hardships.

Keep us ever in Your watch, til we can walk again with

light hearts and renewed spirits.

For the sick

Almighty and Eternal God,

You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You.

Hear us for Your sick servant (N...)

for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,

that being restored to bodily health,

he (she) may give thanks to You in Your Church.

Through Horen our Lord.

For Safe Travel

God's Angels guard and keep you

All the way that you must travel

Till earth's days are past

When blossoms fade and

Time is fleeting fast

In times of purest joy

Or pain and fear

God's Angels guard

And keep you safe.

___

O Almighty and merciful God, who hast commissioned Thy angels to guide and protect us, command them to be our assiduous companions from our setting out until our return; to clothe us with their invisible protection; to keep from us all danger of war, of fire, of beasts, of fall and bruises, and finally, having preserved us from all evil, and especially

from sin, to guide us to our heavenly home.

Through Horen The Divine, our Lord.

In Time of Danger

O God, Who knowest us to be set in the midst of such great perils, that, by reason of the weakness of our nature, we cannot stand upright, grant us such health of mind and body, that those evils which we suffer for our sins we may overcome through Thine assistance. Through Horen our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for battle & against evil

Azendital, the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;

and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,

by the power of God

cast into hell Ibless and all the evil spirits

who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartfully sorry for having offended thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishment, but most of all because I have offended Thee my God, Who is all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more, and to avoid the near occasion of sin
