The Grand King's Farewell Address

Parchments are plastered to various buildings around Kal’Arkon as well as on the notice board near the entrance to the city.

“To the Citizens of Kal’Arkon and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, I write to you today to announce my resignation from kingship. During my reign as Gand King I have learned much about myself and others. The Dwarves who have served me were strong, intelligent, and stubborn as all our kin are. What I have learned is what my father held in his heart, the knowledge that he is not fit to be king of the Dwedmar. Some may disagree, but I finally understand after many sleepless nights why this position is only for the best of the Dwarves.

I know my place is in my house, with my family as the last breaths I take are taken in the serenity of contentment. The Dwarves are a strong people, if they were not I would have feared making this choice as I would believe they would need me to rule over them. I know now they do not, but what I do know is that whoever shall be the next Grand King of Urguan needs to be fierce, not only in their actions but in their opinions. My successor shall need to be able to withstand all possible events that the Fringe shall throw at them and still come out willing to propose new ideas that shall lead us to thrive no matter the environment. As the next election commences, I implore all Dwarves take a step back before voting and make sure that who they vote for is not for popularity but for skill and resilience.

I shall not go through a list of important persons to send an individual message but I shall wish the current lords council luck, as for now they shall lead the nation to whatever end until the elections have subsided. I have faith in those who sit beside the Obsidian Throne, though their opinions differ and skills vary, they have served me and the nation without a doubt of loyalty.

As a last message, I shall remind all of you to remember that we must look upon every dwarf as kin. What I fear the most for our nation is the power of Khorvad, which wished to plant fury and hatred between the Dwedmar. In this age as well as all ages we must remain united as one nation, one goal and one people. Do not let your differing opinions lead to bloodshed between Dwarves, for then you have turned your back upon the Brathmordakin and all the Grand Kingdom may suffer. Whether this next era is one of violence and turmoil or peace and prosperity is left in the hands of the people. Whichever path we may take, we must be resilient and remember the stories of our ancestors, the faith of the Brathmordakin, and the brotherhood of kin.”

Underneath the letter is the seal of the Grand Kingdom and a signature, looked to be personally signed on each letter that adorns the walls of Kal’Arkon.

Bronn Grandaxe would skim his eyes over the parchment fixed upon the wall, he'd suddenly burst into action; his jet-black boots slamming together spontaneously as his right fist would collide against his chestplate, forming his final salute for his King. A heavy grimace has been fixed upon his face, as if someone had passed away.

Bronn parts his mouth, coldly bluttering out as he'd clamp his eyes shut to prevent tears from leaking out of his sockets.

"Legion boys, make some noise fer our formah King."

The moderate-sized Legion practical assembly would respond with the roars of pride,

" A R R R U !  A R R R U U U ! "

" A R U U U U U U ! "

Dwarves ave fought against each other.

Why did we kill the Ironborn?

Why shall we fight amongest each other? To fight the corruption that plagues our race. Dishonor and selfishness still plagues our nation.

May Aerial watch over us and Yemekars beard protect us from evil.
