Samson Option 9652 Share Posted May 25, 2014 ._. Alright people, calm down a bit, eh? I think that we as the dwarves shouldnt really be holding Oren to that 8 person vs 8 person standard **** anymore. Come on, with one warclaim, we would be facing the full force of Oren's army, not a squad of 8 people.. We might aswell begin getting practice fighting larger numbers through the little skirmishes so we are ready to NOT get bum-rushed by Oren on Warclaim Day. Just give this some thought my good friends. Alot of thought actually. Natalac, what is your Skype. I want to shower you with good earned respect. Lasacow 75 Share Posted May 25, 2014 This is a fairly good idea as it would keep the war out of the cities (so players who have no involvement in the war can easily explore and get to their house without being ganked) and also so that if people do want involvement in the war, they just have to travel to the specific trench zone to take part. The only problem is that it wouldn't be very fun for roleplaying purposes.
Zezimus 1523 Share Posted May 25, 2014 I believe he's referring to the declarations of war upon Oren after the establishment of Carrion rule and the massive government reforms that came along with it. I see where you're coming from but if anything, I'd say that puts you in a position to understand the dwarves' problem right now. Also, you need to bear in mind, a lot of dwarves including myself actually adamantly opposed what the dwarven leadership did there. Hence they tried to reform back to the way they once were in Aegis/Asulon/early Anthos.
IrishPerson 693 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Imo this whole war is stupid. It's just going to crush the dwarves when they should be trying to make reforms and bring culture back. I dunno what the leadership were thinking! Regardless that's off topic. On a side note: cut down on the snarky remarks you lot are sending back and forth. EDIT: On topic - I think that it may be a good idea considering it worked quite well the last time. Just ensure new players know what is going on. Just give this some thought my good friends. Alot of thought actually. Most of the dwarves don't seem to be saying no PvP or trying to squirm their way out of a war. They're just saying they don't want constant PvP, which I'd say is a perfectly reasonable request. Every war needs some rules to be enforced, else it just turns to petty insults being thrown at one another, as you see here.

Coaster 2086 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Those who have reservations because of numerical superiority, there's always a way to make up for numbers in RP. This is a good idea.
Neri 3590 Share Posted May 25, 2014 A bad war system combined with bad geographical positioning of nations (people will get caught in crossfire left right and center) means that war is a complete mess. I just suggest that the Human and Dwarf leaders come together and bump heads so that they can draw up a plan of action. Remember, friends OOC, enemies IC! IrishPerson 693 Share Posted May 25, 2014 you do realize oren declared war, not dwarves, right? It was provoked by both races. Could've been stopped with ease.

Lago 2572 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Trench could work provided both sides pick a status and only those with the status on are participatory. Killing someone without a status or without a status yourself is a norp kill. No killing people without RP for walking in there or the GMs are going to object. Otherwise, it's a good idea Knox. That is literally exactly what they were doing to to Oren a while back. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
