The Halfling Recruiting Thread!

 

As most of you know, the halflings are not the most active race on LotC, and that's due to many reasons, including past reputation, coldness towards newcomers, and the lack of players. Well today, I'm going to help people figure out how to join the Halflings, which is the most fun race on LotC, because it not only allows you to do wacky things like wear pillow armor, build snow forts and start a snow war, and whack bigguns with shovels in a tantrum so cute it's harmless.

 

Let's get started

 

Step 1: Get a family

 

Many families in the Halflings are one person. But the easiest way to join the halflings is by joining a family. Currently, there are a few families looking for members.

 

The Fatroots - Contact Yokey Fatroot IGN: valon487 (Me)

The Dudleys - Contact IGN: Nalatac_Aicneta

 

The Willowswamps - Contact Fumble or Rich IGNs: ryanheff74 (Fumble), uracow (Richard)

 

Otherwise, you could show up as a new family, but the entry process may take a while, and a family is the surefire way to get in fast.

 

Step 2: Get a skin

 

Basically, when you're skinning, you make a peasant, remove the shoes, color hair accordingly, ???, PROFIT!!!!

 

Step 3: Get a burrow

 

This process varies, but if you're in an established family, you can use theirs.

Talk to MegaEpicmoose, MushyNinja, or uracow for burrows

 

Step 4: Get in the skype chat

 

Anyone can add you to the skype chat, we just need your username

 

Step 5: BE ACTIVE!!!!!

 

This is a big one, and also something the current active halflings are improving. So if you join, be sure to get on!

 

Step 6: Have fun

 

The most important part of being a halfling is having fun! Taking a break from that pesky combat RP and that annoying hardass character stuff and just relax, smoke, drink, and be merry!
