Anyone who knows me on this server knows I'll get all up in your face if you dare shittalk Canada, so in honour (that's honour by the way, not honor) of our 147th birthday I would like to make this little thread.

 

Fun facts about Canada:

 

1. We have bears.

 

2. The pinnacle of our national identity is a coffee chain with mediocre donuts.

 

3. We have less crime

 

4. Higher living standards doe

 

5. It's actually ABOUT.

 

6. Unless you're a newfie, in which case it's actually aboot.

 

7. We don't all ride on polar bears, Moose are far easier to tame.

 

8. We have borders with no one but 'Murica (god save us)

 

9. Apparently ketchup flavoured lays chips is a Canada only thing

 

10. The following hockey teams are not to be followed: Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary

Flames. Ottawa and Montreal are acceptable but please don't bring up the Canucks.

 

11. I recently confirmed after a trip of safeway that yes, our bacon is indeed just ham.

 

12. Contrary to every single person ever when I'm outside of North America, no, it's not the same thing as the USA.
