~*<>*~ Jobs Around The Dale ~*<>*~

It has come to the attention of Elder Fumble and his counterparts that many of our halfling villagers do not have a job, or have a very generic one. Here is a list of jobs available to be taken! Note: If someone has a job that you want, you may apply for a new one, or ask to be his/her apprentice.

 

 

Material/Labour Jobs:
~ Stone Quarrier ~

Delves into the depths of the caves below and gathers stone, a job fit for only the bravest and strongest halflings.

~ Carrot Farmer ~

For those who enjoy spending their time watching the breeze and picking fresh carrots, they will make up the bulk of our salads and carrot ale!

~ Pumpkin Caretaker ~
The halfling who cares for the pumpkins is said to be in the most favour of Knox. This halfling specializes in cleansing and growing the pumpkins. He must store them after they are ripe.

~ Wheat Farmer ~

While any proper halfling can farm, it takes true dedication and skill to properly raise and cut wheat. This will make up our cakes, breads, and pancakes! They will be in charge of growing, harvesting, and storing wheat and hay!

~Tater Farmer~

In charge of harvesting taters, one of the most skilled farmers. He must have enough experience and determination!

~ Town Fisherman ~

In charge of gathering the creatures of the water. He specializes in catching those that many can not.

~Lumber Jack~

The most arm-strong of the halflings enjoy felling trees far away from the outskirt woods. They must make sure to replant and care for trees that are not being cut.

 

Thoughtful Jobs:

 

~Town Psychiatrist~

Must be one of the most caring and smart halflings. He is in charge of keeping our population sane, and must keep himself on edge, not becoming insane with everyone else's problems!

 

~ Town Philosopher~

This'un makes important decisions about the life sciences. He spurs each and every halfling's creativity with new ideas surrounding religion, creation, and aspects of life! 

 

~Author/Scholar~
This'un writes books and examines the histories and math of the hobbits! He must be the most thoughtful and well gifted in the field of writing!

 

~Priest Of Knoxism~

The most blessed of all halflings, he organizes services and prayer to Knox. He spends his days cleaning and building a Shrine to Knox, as well as keeping the golden statue of our lord and savior in the Lake clean as Fumble's bottom!

 

 

~Service Jobs~
 

~Doctor~

This one takes care of halflings with illnesses, broken bones, and other ailments. He must keep each halfling's physical state in check.

~Tinker~
The tinker creates various contraptions and other tools for the halflings who need 'em! He keeps our machines looking spiffy, clean, and technical!

~Mailman~

This'un delivers our mail, children, and packages!

~Shovel/Tool Smith~
Works within the shovel smithy and creates tools for everyone.

~Event Planner~
He plans journeys, trips, parties, tea-times, hunts, and festivals! Must be approved by the Elder!

~Bell Tower Ringer~
This'un rings the bell tower for events, emergencies... and orc raids!

~Barkeep~

This halflings makes sure to keep the Tavern clean, joyful, warm, and filled with ale and good foods!

~Alchemist~
Studies the art of mixing stuff other tasks that involve chemistry! 

~Garbage Picker Upper~
Picks up garbage throughout town, his burrow MUST be dirty as Milo's underpants!

​~Pharmacist~

Distributes medecines and diagnosis to halflings and doctors, as well as acts as a doctor on the go, a quick surgeon if needed as well.
