The Dummies Guide of how to get accepted by Haelun'or;

  1. Be a Wood Elf, Dark Elf, or High Elf
  2. If High Elf, don't be half-breed.
  3. Be a sane, morally upstanding person (in public at least).
  4. Don't let Tundrak in the gates.

5. If you are a druid, pray to the Aspects every day that Milo doesn't do something stupid.

But on a serious note, the racial nations should be the most open, and the more restrictive should be independent off to the side. Haelun'or was fine doing it's thing when it wasn't the hub of elven roleplay. It has made moves in the right direction, of course, and they should be applauded for that, but we still need to contend with the fact that new RPers are going to go to the racial capitals first, and if they're not accepting, it's not good for the server as a whole.

P.S. Milo, you know we <3 you.

Eh, she hunts. She has the imp parasite. She's 400 years old so at this point she hardly gives a damn, and considers it a minor inconvenience, though later realized it adds to the whole point of what she does : making her edgyer.

She has a katana.

She has no idea how to use it, nor does she intend to. She just. has one, because it's associated with being "edgy".

So yeah.

And you're going to enforce this threat how?

It's not that we don't like the elves and we don't want to chill. It's just that some of us can't unless we make a new character that follows almost every standard set by the city or we can't get RP there anyway if the smallest detail was missed. This applies to almost every racial capital there. If you're not X race, you aren't welcome in their settlement unless you make a new character. See? Roleplay is spread out as it is, and no one should have to make a new character to get roleplay. That is what makes independent settlements so convenient, if you're lucky enough to find an active one.

What is your character that somehow fails to fit in anywhere?

Proud to be the first blonde pure-blood elf with red eyes in lotc who isn't edgy nor insane. Red eyes add character and conquer the ladies. Get on my level.

(I actually gave him red eyes because blue eyes were too mainstream and I wanted him to look more awake, more in touch with life, which the red eyes helped with. I also may or may not have picked a pinkish brown when making his eyes, and people took it as red so I ended up making it red)

Sorry. I had to do this. You and all players claiming to have the imp parasite are not hereby giving a formal cease and desist, for some of us will start handing out ban reports on all players roleplaying it when they werent supposed to have it or didn't get it ICly..

I was given the task by the writer of this lore. Consider this a warning, Demotheus.

You guys may go back on topic. I'm done here.

Lago is that threat enforceable?

For everyone's reference, Voidsoldier is barely online. Last he was on was 12 days ago. Talking to him is near impossible, plus that screenshot is admission that would hold some kind of previous grudge on me from like what, 6 months ago? idk.

Why this had to be broadcasted here, I can't fathom.

I have him in my skype friend's list. He's pretty active, if that helps with anything.

If it can be proven to the satisfaction of the Lore Team after talking with you personally that your character's infection by an Imp Parasite is impossible and therefore powergaming (which strikes me as unlikely but I haven't read Imp for a while) then the Lore Team would inform you of such and attempt to work out with you a way to either make it possible or find an alternate IC explanation. Only if you were throughly uncooperative would any GM involvement be sought.

In brief, the only way you'd be banned is if a GM told you to choose between stopping RPing an Imp Parasite or being banned directly and you chose being banned.

UPDATE: Went through the Imp Parasite lore, it states Voidsoldier intended to screen people who want to play them to make sure they won't go all powergamey with it but beyond that there's not really an IC reason I can see, more Voidsoldier not wanting his creation removed because other players have gone crazy with it.

So while strictly speaking you should have asked Voidsoldier first, there isn't much IC grounds I can see for saying you being afflicted was powergaming. I'd still recommend getting into contact with Voidsoldier to make sure you're RPing this thing right though.

Why are you blaming the nations alone? People can be choosing independent groups over nations simply because they want to live somewhere new, under a different leadership/government, and possibly a different religion/culture. After so many years of the same nations and old nations with new names being recreated people want to move away and try or create something different.

Either way Scylla is working on getting rid of the parasite. Telling me to "Cease and desist" like this is some kind of court case is kind of funny though, since that would be bringing OOC into IC, which is metagaming.

Oh well, that answers that. Onwards with nomral diskuzhun

So you are saying enforcing the Server's rules is metagaming?

Genius.
