Damasus Visaj makes his way to the fountain, standing on its edge so as to be better viewed by the gathered mali. He begins to speak with a kind tone, pleasing to both the ear and the reason of old and bitter mali.

"Mali of Haelun'or! The time has come for a new Sohaer to assume responsibility of our blessed nation, for our current Sohaer Kalenz Uradir has fallen into a deep paranoia and his small insanities hold our nation back from prosperity. Kalenz has became incapable of ruling the Mali, ordering executions on a whim for reasons as silly as insults and as trivial as minor mental impurities which could always be reverted."

"It is for these reasons that I challenge our current Sohaer to his position. If I am to be elected as Sohaer, I will remove the current stigma that surrounds our city. A stigma that is known as fear, for no individual dare enter the city should Kalenz Uradir also be there. I will also do my best to reform the current military which is as disorganized and broken as the minds of Uruks. And finally, I will make Annil'sul be known for its beautiful artistic achievements, fabulous fashion, and excellent engineering, not for its acid executions."

"Reason over habit my friends. New over old and dangerous. Logic over all."

Damasus concludes his short speech with a small smile before her returns within the Silver District.

Seth lets out a small grunt as he hears it. "So you wish to do what Lucion and Thurdan does, how original he is." He shakes his head in disapprovel. "Hopefully people will not take the snake over Lucion, Lucion is better than him, clearly." mutters to himself as he makes his way away from the growd.

Mayilu would've hid in the high elven district, eavesdropping the speech as she would shout, and run away "A sohaer doesn't make a mali'aheral leave! As example: Elleyun!"

Andria Ith'ael nods after Damasus Visaj finishes his speech. After comtempating deeply for a moment, she soon rises to stand. She glances before the small crowd in front of her, before then taking a long, deep breath. She then begins:

“Greetings lliran, my name is Andria Ith’ael, Elokarir’mali of our elcihi’aheral.

As many of you have noticed by this time, our government is in decline. I believe I am not the first to realise this, as Damasus Visaj has already expressed his intention in beomcing Sohaer. Kalenz Uradir, by far oem of our greatest leaders, has been missing. Many other of the positions in the Heial’thilln have also not been able to attend many meetings. I myself, have not seen a single meeting with all of our members in my time within Elheial’thilln.

I feel it is time for change, our nation will be on the approach to ruin if we are unable to fulfil our duties within the government. It is shameful that we are not able to provide support to both our kind and our allies. We cannot be healthy without progress, and our progress is in decline.I believe it is my duty, along with many others, to upkeep our progress.

I challenge Sohaer Kalenz Uradir and Damasus Visaj for the title of Sohaer.

If I am to be given the opportunity to undertake the position, I will find solutions to our problems, which are numbered greatly at this time. I will cause change within our nation. There is several Okair ranks that are vacant or have little tasks to achieve, it is of my opinion that they should be merged.

Our military, as my fellow challenger Damasus Visaj has stated before me, is in a state of disrepair. We force the Mali’ame and Mali’ker to do the work that Elmali’aheral should be be doing. We have no military presence of any form, and our reliance on other races to defend us is not going to last long.

Elcihi has not been completed, ehya very few work on it. I will encourage our people to help finish it so we can have a cihi greater than any other. As a nation, we are capable of great feats. Why should we let our time go to waste? Would it not be better to use our long lives to assist our nation to greatness?

Mali’thill, I ask that you choose wisely in this election. For the ashes of Malinor still smoulder.”

Andria then makes her way towards the inn, taking another deep breath.

Asul'athri watches the proceedings. Not the okarir'akaln, who holds his power like it is a toy. Not the current Sohaer, who wields it as though it were a great blade with which to carve away the opposition, but instead, the okarir'mali, or the maheral, who both wield it as it should...

"We're working on it," Miran says through a frown.

Archdruid Gi keeps a straight face that holds slight confusion and perhaps a hint of relief.

"Only /now/ they realise that Kalenz is insane? My goodness..."

He shakes his head as he sighs.

Trextus would watch from the high elven district, listening to the various gathering elves. His eyes would remain narrowed the entire time, seeming to disapprove of everything which was going on. Yet he would wait, watching until his leader came and gave him orders.

Iatrilemar steps up

"If there is to be an election I nominate both the Maheral, Lucion Sullas, and myself, Iatrilemar Elervathar for the position of Sohaer. Progress comes from a variety of things, and can take many courses. A Sohaer must be able to visualize these different paths and choose to take the one that leads to progress. What the current challenger doesn't understand is that while it is good to act on reason you must not dismiss habit because it is through habit that we can better understand not only ourselves but those around us and while new ideas lead to new discovery you cannot dismiss the old. It is what makes up our history and signifies an ingrained society.

I am not a great tyrant or scientist. I can bake at a basic level and my ability to farm is less than savory. I am an elf and I serve the elves for the elves. I can however offer my time and my persistence to a safer haven for mali. I will gladly sit and talk with anyone wanting to converse on the subject as I await Lucion Sullas' words."

If you guys need me to lead I can do it and I have plenty of time. What I mean by that is if elected I can resign from GM to make sure the elven nation stays on track. Something I told myself I would do if needed. I like to think of a Nation Leader position is as much of an OOC thing as it is an IC thing. I feel I communicate well OOCly and am easy to work with/I want to work towards compromise with you instead of trying to dominate the conversation.

Watching the speeches and individuals spruiking their abilities and desires, Lucion scratches his chin with a clenched jaw.

"Lliran, this is not the time for speeches. The time has come for a meeting of the council. And it will take place imminently. I invite Iatrilemar to attend. Until then, cease with your pontifications."

((It will take place 4.5 hours from this post, or after that! Whatever time after 4.5 hours is convenient.))

Iatrilemar's ears perk up

"Ah, maybe we might find a different solution then!"
