Hopefully we can still cover everything and you'll feel all up-to-date. The first thing to get out of the way because it is difficult to ignore: Iblees is back. The halls of Urguan that were opened by five keys collected by the mortals over the last 6 weeks contained more than just a site for exploration. Currently a solution is being worked on so that the Staff Quick News can still be available that also gives members access to Status Updates. The YOUR VIEW is still open to feedback about that. Your perspective is also called upon about all the plugins that are currently installed on the server. Viper asks us to examine the bigger picture: is simpler better? The VIP rewards have become fully automated. If you have made a donation you can collect a bunch of goodies by typing /vipclaim and the plugin perks should be automatic. Shiftnative stepped down form the position of Lead Developer, now that the transition to 4.0 is complete. It goes without saying that he is a valuable member of this community, and we have so much in Athera to thank him for. The Event Team have relaunched, with Ouity as the Team Leader, and took on a huge number of new team members that have already been busily at work hosting events both great and small. The team is settling in well as members find their footing and the managers fall into their grove, so sometime in the next month a fresh wave of ET applications will be evaluated. Media Team have a bit going on at the moment. Most importantly: We want your MT applications! ski_king3 resigned from his position to pursue a real life. Though his time by my side was brief, it was most enjoyable and made all that much easier for it. Ski has always been a great ally in the the staff and his contributions to the MT on a professional, administrative and personal level are more than highly commendable. Really, there aren't words enough for you Ski. (uncontrollable sobbing) I miss you bae. Between the Admins and myself we agreed to bring in Dizzy771 and 501warhead to keep the Media Team pressing forward. It will be a good time for the Media Team as we move into a new season. First on the agenda is working with leaders from other teams to find how we can best work together to assist their needs and work efficiently together. It isn't just the leadership that is undergoing change though, as the team is about to see some new young faces join the ranks to fill in some rather large holes in our team, and in our hearts. Korvic, Beast720, SgtKipples, PhillyLewis and Melodystar all left us. It is a great injustice that I don't writeup a thanks to them individually, but rest assured that each of them contributed hugely over the time that they were on the team and each will be missed. GraphitesPL joined the crew as a very skilled musician and composer, as well as contributing to social media. We also released that Undead trailer, are about to rollout a new frontpage for the website, posted the last of the MMH as we will now be putting out the staff newsletters, and saw some pretty impressive numbers bouncing to the site. There's also a number of things in the pipeline that you may or may not end up seeing when they are done that should make the experience for new players a bit easier. If you have ever considered joining the media team in some capacity then now is the time to make an application. Creative people with ideas of all sorts are highly sought after. We're not just about making videos or taking pretty stills, so just because you don't have state of the art recording hardware is no reason to be held back. We create content of all kinds and that includes social media and forums. If you have any previous experience with minecraft or gaming forums and can bring some of that knowledge to the table then create an app. The Application Team have been doing solid work on the front lines. We thought we'd gotten rid of them for good. I don't see how this makes people want to come back o-o They got "defeated" pretty heroically, plus all those champions who had to PK. I'm just minding my own business and let new, younger lads have a taste of the undead like we did back in our days.
