Zanderaw, your latest post is blatant PG. You cant just move your giant armies across thousands of miles in countries that hardly have concrete roads in 1 post, not even considering the fact that there might be resistance. It took a combination of 3 countries to take down TURKEY after 2 pages, and Pok the same time to secure Libya with heavy casualties. I doubt your armies could even be supplied that far away from the coast, what with the size and such. You're literally expanding for the hell of it, with no purpose.

I agree with Digital, here, Zanderaw. Now, let me explain why:

 

The Islamic Caliphate has pure raw numbers and brainwashed citizens who would fight to the death for their beliefs. They may be technologically backwards or relatively untrained, but they believe dying in jihad would grant them heaven. If the men in that area are taken up for arms, there would be over a million of Caliphate troops willing to blow themselves up before you got to them. Plus, that area is largely undeveloped, which is why a group jihadists could make their move there whilst China was occupied in their war.

 

Also, "battle-hardened" is another term for "battle-weary". The Caliphate troops in Afghanistan are fresh, and Iran is the most advanced out of those countries, so even if you got there and took Afghanistan, you would have to fight well-trained troops in Iran, after you'd suffer from heavy casualties in Afghanistan. Digital was right, a gigantic army marching over a thousand miles could not put up with a pestilent Jihadist group and then a well-trained military. You'd probably be able to take NW China, but you'd have to replenish there and then worry about getting to Afghanistan and Iran, if at all.

 

So, if you can, please change your post accordingly,

Please don't get your panties in a twist, I ran out of time when I was writing the post earlier today and the land movements were more of an afterthought anyway. I was never expecting to RP having taken back even NE china in one page, merely outlining the long term objectives of the campaign. I expected that you guys would realize that to do all that was impossible and thus I was taking about hypothetical moves in the future, but apparently I wasn't clear enough.

 

I will now spend additional time out of my busy day writing more sh*t on an online forum.

Please don't get your panties in a twist, I ran out of time when I was writing the post earlier today and the land movements were more of an afterthought anyway. I was never expecting to RP having taken back even NE china in one page, merely outlining the long term objectives of the campaign. I expected that you guys would realize that to do all that was impossible and thus I was taking about hypothetical moves in the future, but apparently I wasn't clear enough.

 

I will now spend additional time out of my busy day writing more sh*t on an online forum.

 

I'm sorry we weren't able to understand, but to be fair it wasn't clear at all. I think we should all try to make our posts clearer as this is a problem that is evident in many FRPs.

Sorry I got mad there, but it gets frustrating when you try to cut corners just once and get burned for it.

 

I assure you all I was very conscious of the travel time it takes to get from Hong Kong to that far inland, and it would have been fully RPed in the next post, but it was getting towards the end of that one and I just wanted to go do something else. Those troops would be arriving at their destination around the same time the fleet lands at its destination, which is a ways away. The idea of that paragraph was to outline what the goals of the land force were, not to imply that they were already on the border and were able to jump across and carry it out in a few days.

 

I try to do a lot in single posts, and that gets tiring. The offending paragraph has been edited.

Okay, I wasn't very clear on the cities that were and weren't nuked by China. Since I sent 240 of them out, assume all cities under the population of 300,000 are unharmed, along with the following:

 

Hong Kong

Jiayi

Taipei

Singapore

All of Australia

 

All cities not on this list were either shot at or hit. Your choice.

 

In addition to this, the similar belief that if they die for China they go to Heaven is prevalent in the provinces, so don't expect many surrenders, and military supplies were all being used by the armies. Of course, there's quite a few empty military bases throughout the provinces.
