Throw The High Elf Down The Well

Fimlin sits atop his throne, resting his head on his left hand, as he drums his fingers across the seats arm with his right. He is deep in thought, contemplating what the Rex had suggested, and after a few minutes, he raised his head from its perch to respond to Rusk’Dom.

“Aye” was the only answer he muttered out. With this, the Rex smiled a toothy grin, and spoke out “Then let us begin” With that, Fimlin and Rusk’Dom exited the hall, and went outside the meeting hall to address the dwarves gathered outside.

“Lads!” Fimlin began “For too long have the Nikaer’Yrrokmar barricaded the gateway to the wilds, for too long have they oppressed poor men and women, trying desperately to carve out a living for themselves! I am here to announce, that in the coming weeks, all of this will end!”

“We have decided to march upon Polaris, and end this oppression once and for all! We will give them one chance to end their blockade on the fair lands of the wilds, and blinded by their own greed, and self-absorption, we know that they will deny! Then, they shall pay with blood for their arrogance, and the people of Athera can be truly free!

“Not only this but in just this past stone day the Rex of the uruks has brought to me proof that these ‘humans’ are mere high elves in disguise! Remember all that the high elves had done in aggression against not only our fellow dwarves but our fellow descendants!  Once and for all! Kavir Oz Kadrin Homar! Narvak Oz Urguan!” Just as his words end the Rex who had recently left the dwarven lands finds himself in the all too familiar sand dunes of the War Nation.

Rex Rusk’Dom returns to his lands passing the beautiful wall of krug before his entry into San’Vitar. As he walks into the city he calls for his orcs to gather on his plateau in the circle of krug, “Un mi!”. After climbing up the monstrous steps that lead up to the Rex’s palace he turns to stop the horde of orcs inside the circle of Krug surrounded by shrines of the spirits. His voice was husky and raspy from his excessive use of cactus green,

“Bruddahz mi kum wib hozh invormatiun bout da hi twiggiez dat wi hab fouand hydin en shara laynd. Mi hab blahd wib owah stowt allyz agh dey wull bi joynen uz en diz zecond purge ob da hi twiggiez! Mi kall latz tu fullow mi untu ah klomp againzt deze monztahz ib dey am nawt tu zurrendah en feur. Nub furget dat ib am dere popo whu tuuk da stowt goi dat wi hed tu tayk bak!” The Rex roars as he hits his chest rapidly, the orcs gathered doing the same. Once again the iron horde forms but this time they march for the city of Polaris.

The iron horde runs out of the goi and past the wall of Krug towards the cloud temple to join their dwarven allies. Rex Rusk’Dom smiles as he head butts his ally and friend Grand King Fimlin Grandaxe. The forces of the orcs and the dwarves come together in an army like no other. Nearby villages could feel the ground shake as the army marched into the northern lands. Passing through the Konig’s land they set up camp around 1,000 elven skulls away from the city’s walls. Before they were to bring battle and war to the new high elven kingdom the leaders of this joint force sketch together an ultimatum to offer to not only the ‘king’ but his people.

[!] The following scroll is given to the leader/leaders of Polaris by a joint dwarf/orc scouting party.

Ultimatum to Polaris

Peace can be met on the following terms:

-The city of Polaris vassalizes  under the Orc and Dwarf nations, being subject to a joint rule of the Grand King and the Rex.

-The city of Polaris will create an easy passage through or under the city into the northern wilds.

-The city of Polaris must promise to aid in the joint wars of the Dwarves and Orcs.

-The government of Polaris renounces all claims to any land nearby Polaris, or any land that had vassalized under Polaris, and proclaims said lands to be under the ownership of the Dwarves & Orcs.

-The city of Polaris will pay a tribute of 5,000 minas to both the orcs and dwarves which will be used for the better good of both nations. No further tribute will be asked of Polaris unless either nation is in dire need of such.

-The city of Polaris will not be taxed

[!] The following poster is hung up around the city of Polaris and given to those who come and go.

-To the citizens of Polaris-

In the next stone week an army of orcs, dwarves, and humans will be marching towards and waging war against this once peaceful city. All women and children should begin to exit now if they wish to keep their lives. No woman or child who surrenders/leaves will be killed. The same is granted for humans and those who perhaps did not know of the corruption that Polaris has been consumed by. If you wish to leave this war behind you and find new life we recommend you to flee to Aesterwald  Angren, Oren or Urguan all will be welcomed.

Aesterwald-nationalist Martin Winter would agree to no longer attacking and mutilating the denizens of Polaris, should they sign under the Orcs and Dwarves. Then again, he would also be lying.

A warrior crumples his summons to battle and tosses it to the side of the road.

He starts down the path to the Wilds, singing under his breath.

"They're gonna burn burn burn..."

Viktor gives a light sigh as he hears word of another declaration of war.

"Da, typical warmongering under petty excuse of tyrants. When will day come when humanity can defend its own?"

Thoromir reads over the document carefully before drawing a pen and writing a reply.

Dear Grand King Fimlin Grandaxe and Rex Rusk'dom Never once have we ever been asked for access to the northern wilds, We will gladly grant you access as the northern wilds is not our to "Barricade" although due warning Polak scouts have found nothing of interest in the northern wilds cease for the old Dwarven ruins and some large swathes of forest. As for harbouring high elves perhaps you have received some.. incorrect news or are being deliberately lied to by one of your own, it matters not. The fact of the matter is Volaren clan of wood elves is the only group of elves that dwells in Polaris, they were personally involved in the purging of the High elves and assisted Rusk'Dom in his campaign against Reksam'kog securing many valuable kills with their longbows. Considering this the grounds upon witch this ultimatum is issued, we are willing to offer some compromises.

Counter-offer

Peace can be met on the following terms:

-The city of Polaris will create an easy passage through or under the city into the northern wilds.

-The city of Polaris must promise to aid in the joint wars of the Dwarves and Orcs.

-The government of Polaris renounces all claims to any land nearby Polaris, or any land that had vassalized under Polaris, and proclaims said lands to be under the ownership of the Dwarves & Orcs.

-The state of Laureh'lin will conduct an in-depth investigation of Polaris to verify there are no  "hi twigged" dwelling within the realm

-The city of Polaris will not be taxed

We can easily create a passage under Polaris that leads to the northern wilds, in-fact I believe we have already constructed one, In terms of aiding the Dwarves and Orcs we have done so in the past when we helped Rusk'Dom against Reksam, our help to the dwarves was showcased in our aid of the reclamation of their city. Therefore a defensive pact between our factions would be a welcome start to future positive relations. Any land nearby Polaris that is not clearly marked as within the Polaris Shield is clearly not under the Jurisdiction of Polaris and is therefore open to the Dwarves and Orcs to divide as they see fit. We will also submit to an in-depth investigation by the elves of Laureh'lin (should they agree to conduct such an investigation) in order to prove in good faith that we are no harbouring any high elves. And yes, it seems fair that Polaris will not be taxed.

Sincerely - Thor

Queen Caroline Armahnk scans the missive, trying to contain her laughter. She throws it behind her as if it was the Petrus Newspaper and runs a hand through her hair. "I need to act fast... this is not helpful." She looks towards her koncerz, the faintest of smirks appearing on her face. "There will be nothing to declare war on here..."

#Edit

Caroline reads the document more thoroughly this time, a particular line catches her eye.

No woman or child who surrenders/leaves will be killed.

She simply could not help laughing. Destroy so much and get away with it? It was like a dream come true. She never liked this town in the first place. Caroline yawns, and walks off to recruit some pyromancers.

Why would you bring my hopes up like that?

Katari scratches his chin and glances around.

"No forget it. Lets just go back to making kick of faces in. Makes things easier for everyone." Avgust says sarcastically.

He walks off and shakes his head, "Whole world going to ****."

Seth frowns as he hears the news. "Ohh yes, let us kill those which tried to help in retaking their rotting city. And people question me when I say those people is making the realm decay." He says with disgust. "None of them is near enough what they claim to be, honourfull they say." He rolls his eyes. "Murders and fools, that is what they all are."
