A Man Passes To Legend

~=~ A Passing ~=~

The Adunian man, aged twice what a normal man was, sat upon his horse, the purple and silver he wore was identical of that which his comrades wore. The thick surplice was drawn over his head and his helmet, closing his eyes he turned to his side, where his son stood, stoic, hi brow furrowed. The Adunian smiled under his helm but none would know. Looking to his right was Frederick, who inclined his head ever so slightly. A man who he had trusted as much as Konrad, and befriended as well. He was a brother in arms like he had known only once previously, and he was glad for it.

He sighed and looked upwards to the stars, his life was something he recalled. He had a long life, and it wasn't over yet, just a new chapter was opened. He was born an Adunian, and then migrated to Oren where he served the Carrion Monarchs and received a barony and a knighthood.

After the fall, he stayed serving Boris Carrion and fought by his side until he was Emperor, and then fell ill and departed. He found Frederick, a man of the North with aspirations. They had joined forces to hunt a rogue mage, and together held the future of what would be the Templars.

Frederick raised him from a petty bandit to a Knight again, and he served with honor in the Kingdom of Renatus. Honor, battle, war, blood and pain was his life, and Creator damn him if he would go out peacefully. But he was tired, and old now. The Adunian lived a long life, and a full one. With a grunt, he and Frederick rode forward for a while before dismounting, clasping at the wrist and taking their own paths. Frederick back home, and the man to his future.

The world would never be the same, and the infamous Corbett van Cleef passed into legend.
