[Question] What Do The Dots Below Your Forum Group Mean?

Look at the image below. There are some dots below your forum group, and each player has a different number. I have thirteen. Does anyone know what they mean?

 

 

I thought it might correlate to post number or how long you've been around, but neither of those make sense. One idea I had was how many different forum tags you've had, but Sky and I have had the same number and I suspect I've had more different forum tags than he has. So yah, if anyone knows, that would be cool info.

It's the visual representation of forum perms. It's what the forums do, and you can put custom things, that's why other forums have starts and stuff. (Either perms or the forums they can see, one or the other.) (I think).

It's just a sort of indicator of how active/how many posts you've made, like the default ranks (Shop Owner, Gold Miner etc). The more posts you have, the more "dots" you'll have (Note how some staff with 200 or less posts only have about 5 dots whereas some ordinary players with around 3000 posts will have around 15). They don't mean anything important, pretty much.

It's an amount of posts. I just reached 50 recently and got two dots. 3 is for one hundred, and so on. And as Sky stated, the more dots you have the more perms you get access to.

I actually think its left over from when post count correlated with your forum title ((mine currently says Since aegis)).

 

A long time ago we used to start off at tree puncher and move up to things like Lumberjack fisherman lapis miner ect ((I dont remember all the ranks but i do remember at 1337 posts your forum rank turned into l33t untill your next post.))

 

This is why at lower levels every 50 or so posts you get a new dot but after 500 you get a dot after every hundred posts. I believe at the time 2000 posts was the final rank which is why ski king won't get anymore dots.

 

Anyways i could be totally wrong but seems about right :P
